Oyotunji/ Efe is back 😂😂😂

TaxLawyer:
Can you just stop going around saying nonsense? You basically spew nonsense on this thread. Just stop ✋ 🛑

There is no collaboration between the schools and the white house. Schools can recruit students from anywhere in the world.

They would never not consider Nigerian students, moreover alot of people with admissions due for September 2026 in the USA applied before the ban was placed on Nigerian. Some even had their admissions already, some were in the process of their I-20 when the ban took effect.

Its just of recent that some schools are not even considering Nigerian students now, because they are like; if we give you the admission there is no way for you to resume. You would be turned back at the POE

Why? Cos Trump banned Nigerians from entering.

The Visa bond was placed on some other countries not only Nigeria, so get your facts right.

Placing a visa bond for tourism travels doesnt eliminate the visa ban proclamation. The visa ban can only be revoked by another proclamation stating that the visa ban is no longer in effect.

So please shut up and lets see front. And stop jumping around spewing nonsense.

TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by AdisaMighty: 6:09am On Feb 10
And were you given a visa after that?
flourishing247:
It depends on what you are going to do. If it is just holidays, then you need to make it 3weeks max. I've stayed 3months but that was many years ago. I was questioned about it at the embassy. Scratch that ,I was heavily interrogated about it. That vist was many years ago. They brought it up years later. Just don't do it!
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by AdisaMighty:
Why stay 4 months in another man’s country tho? Don’t do it! You risk losing your future visa privileges. Even 6 weeks is a stretch; I usually suggest 3 weeks - 1 month (typical annual leave for most people).

Tomi321:
Good day everyone. My question is not related to this but I would still like to ask just incase someone has the information i need. I have a valid b1/b2 tourist visa valid till 2029. i have previously been in the US about 3 times before now and I plan visiting again in March 2026. I bought my roundtrip ticket last year with the intention to visit a family friend and stay there for about 4 months. However, with the recent updates and news flying around, I heard that the i-94 stamped for people who have travelled this year is just a few days (hearsay). Now my question is this, should i carrry on with my plan of staying in the US from march to July (4 months) or reschedule my return flight to stay for just a few weeks? If i carry on with my previous plan of spending 4 months, will i be admitted by the CBP officer or will my duration of stay raise unnecessary questions/concerns or even denial at the port of entry?
Any advice or useful information from recent travelers will be appreciate.
Thanks in advance.

Thousand of applicants, still no evidence of 1 single approval. Best believe there is a ban, and no one is getting approved.

UPDATE!!!
I got to cayman successfully,
And I’ve been working for the last 20days plus.
It’s good out here, people are nice, genuine company are welcoming and very very helpful to settle in.

It is extremely expensive so it will take you few months to get stable, from getting all the English test and medicals done, to getting an apartment, to renting or owning a car (which are very expensive by the way).

But all is good right now by God’s grace.
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by AdisaMighty: 7:37pm On Feb 07
Keyword is dual citizenship. ie Nigerian-American, you said Nigerian without hyphenating.

Efetobore1980:
Mr Mighty, I am 100% certain that Lekan is fabricating messages on NL. The last message he posted from a U.S embassy staff has exposed him. No U.S embassy staff is authorized to openly or secretly tell you that U.S embassy has not issued any visa since the temporary ban commenced, and that the interview the embassy is conducting is a formality. I repeat, if your blood sister or brother works inside the embassy truly then that message cannot come out from his or her mouth.

About the equal opportunity, I thought you personally have been going in and out of Nigeria and the United States, so do you want to tell me that you don't know the meaning of equal opportunity? The highest administrative office inside all the U.S embassy is the USCIS and any Nigerian with dual citizenship can be posted into the office. That is not even our argument, how will you as a Nigerian contest for the U.S presidency? Was that the argument?

Lekan has been posting fabricated and unnecessary fears about the temporary ban. Okay do you also believe, Mr Mighty, that no single US visa has been issued since the beginning of work at the U.S embassy in Lagos and Abuja in this year 2026. Do you believe it ?

You can't be using Nairaland (as a specimen) to judge the whole of Nigeria. Posting visa success on NL is voluntary and not posting doesn't mean that no visa has been issued.
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by AdisaMighty: 4:12pm On Feb 07
Efetobore, Hopefully you are right but till we see someone with an approved visa, it makes sense to believe Lekan.

About the equal opportunities thing, that’s BS. It like saying I (as a Nigerian) can contest for American presidency. Some roles are critical and meant for security cleared citizens eg VOs.
Efetobore1980:
You are kinda funny. Do you think I and the elites on Nairaland are primary school pupils you can share biscuit and coca cola to ? We should just believe the message you posted came from the embassy staff ? Okay post the staff id card and employment letter. If you cannot do that I won't believe you till ages. That is to tell you the level of my IQ.

Stop assumption. There are many Nigerian staffs inside the embassy in the core departments because the US embassy employ with equal opportunity. That message you posted is not from any staff of the embassy. It's an artificial created.

Asked an immigration official at the airport while exiting Nigeria to Kenya last week if people had been going to the US on B1/B2 (mine expires 2030). He said yes, many! and that he’s not aware of anyone US had returned this year as that time.

Hello Fam,

I have an existing US tourist visa (B1/B2) expiring in 2027 It is a 5 years validity visa and was gotten in 2022, long before the Trump ban

Since 19 African countries have been banned now

Can we still travel to the USA ?

It’s an official order Efe

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/12/restricting-and-limiting-the-entry-of-foreign-nationals-to-protect-the-security-of-the-united-states/

It’s clear that Nigeria is banned from non immigrant visa type eg B1/B2, F1 etc

They also made it clear that previously issued visa remain valid but I will recommend that everyone travels with caution, even if you have the visa.

I also believe this will be temporary and will be negotiated.

Efetobore1980:
●●

The news circulating is just a personal wish from President Trump, and when it becomes a policy or law it would be posted officially on the U.S. embassy website, and that is if the white house voted in support..

That being said, Nigerians can never be subject to a total U.S visa ban, so disregard all the panic news that is being spread by promoters of schengen/European visas.

If the wish of Trump is voted in, what will happen is that, normal visa applications will continue but visas will only be given to those who have been verified as genuine travelers.

For example, we have Nigerian doctors, professors,artist/musicians, parents and children, Nigerians who are married to americans with kids, etc or who have dual citizenships. Dont also forget wealthy industrialist /business men like Aliko Dangote, Otedola, and many unknown wealthy Nigerians who have businesses inside the United States.

Ask the people posting panic news that " what would be the faith of these category of Nigerians 👆

The formulae is
y ≥ x/2 + 7

y => her age
x => your age

In yourcase, y is less than 29/2+7

the least you should date is 21.5years old.

My salesgirl understands my business to the point I am considering to just make her my family.

I don't do an easy business and I am looking to scale, which means someone that understands this business is vital for that to happen and preferably a family member.

Now I am thinking of marrying her and also in the process leaving the relationship/dating market that is a distraction.

I don't have issues whatsoever with this my salesgirl in terms of character and even accountability, she's just perfect in those aspects, but my problem is her age.

Right now, I am just thinking of taking this decision of killing 2 birds with a stone might just be the best for me, one is settling down and two is marrying someone that understands my business.

Is a 29 year old man too big for an 18 year old girl? What's the general public perception of it?

PS: For the main time, I haven't made moves on her. But my interviews on her so far shows she's not looking to enter the high institution anytime soon (probably due to funds). But if I become comfortable with the age gap that is my major concern, I'd make moves on her and see if it will be possible. I'm trying to assess general views on marrying girls in their teen like her.

Visa on arrival was available to everyone as long as you are non Ecowas
studyless123:
If you don't get then you ask? The new e-visa policy was a replacement for visa on arrival (VoA). US citizens were not eligible for visa on arrival. You will have to go to the Nigeria embassy to get a physical visa on your passport. Just last week a US citizen got a Nigerian 5 year visa on her passport. You guys should read and learn.

studyless123:
The statement by @AdisaMighty is not correct. Please let's stop spreading misinformation. A simple research can educate all but we're all lazy. US citizens get 5 years visa reciprocity from Nigeria since 2023. This revised US policy is hinged on a different reason which is not difficult to decipher.

TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by AdisaMighty: 8:30am On Jul 09, 2025
That was in the era of sticker visa. The Nigerian visa is now Evisa, 3 months single entry for everyone, irrespective of country. Started May 1, 2025
missusadey:
I know someone that got 5years Nigerian visa from the US late last year. I don't know if that has changed now
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by AdisaMighty:
You obviously don’t know the use cases of chatgpt.

There is a knowledge cutoff date.

As of today, Nigeria is giving everybody (irrespective of nationality) a 3 months single entry visa. It’s all online and costs $160.

Nobody gets 5 years multiple entry visa into Nigeria.

PS: when prompting chatgpt for info that may change , start by saying “do a thorough internet search for the latest…” I am assuming you use the pro version

ocube:
@ChatGPT U.S. citizens visiting Nigeria can be granted a multiple-entry visa valid for up to 5 years—a reciprocal measure Nigeria introduced in March 2023 . Here’s how it typically works:

---

📅 1. Visa Validity

Up to 5 years multiple-entry visa, depending on applicant category and reciprocity rules.

⏳ 2. Duration of Stay

Each individual entry generally allows a stay of up to 90 days.

Extensions—typically in chunks of 90 days—are possible through the Nigerian Immigration Service .

In some cases, entry stamps may authorize shorter stays (e.g., 30 days), based on border officer discretion.

🛂 Quick Summary

Visa Feature Details

Visa validity Up to 5 years (multiple entries)
Stay per entry Typically up to 90 days
Extensions Possible with application via immigration

---

🔄 In Practice

Many U.S. passport holders receive a 5-year visa, though duration and length of stay per trip depend on one's application and consular decision .

Recent traveler reports confirm the 90-day-per-trip rule, with extensions being obtainable if needed .

🧭 What You Should Do

1. Apply early at a Nigerian consulate or through an accredited service for a multi-year visa.

2. Check your entry stamp when arriving—this specifies your allowed stay length.

3. If you want longer than 90 days, apply for an extension well before your current permission expires.

🔍 Final Take

U.S. citizens can receive a 5-year visa to Nigeria, usable multiple times. Each entry typically permits a 90-day stay, extendable via immigration. Actual duration per trip may vary depending on what the border officer approves upon arrival.

My submission
Going to pick single entry conditions on Nigeria immigration website and posting is disservice to ourselves. Let's not be caught in Trump's shenanigans. He placed a ban on us in 2020 due to some concerns which I believe we made the necessary updates, this then made them to start giving us 5years visa instead of the 2years we usually get, with full reciprocity from Nigeria as announced in February 2023. Google or AI is your friend. Aside that some of us still remembered what transpired then.

Whatever issues he has now will surely be resolved. But when depends on Him?

It definitely will. Entry ≠ status.
Efetobore1980:

Thank you for the update because it concern me as a Nigerian. However, entry is entry even if it is 30 days. Thank God they did not ban Nigeria like they did to some countries.

Anyways, i believe the rule wont affect F1 visa holders. 👍
