I have not been able to schedule an appointment yet and it has been 3 weeks now and counting, I have created 11 tickets as I speak although 2 3 were put on hold.

Please is anyone still in my shoes, it is so frustrating. I can't say if this is village people...lol

I had this problem too. What I did was to create a ticket and kept calling them. Eventually, they merged the two accounts but I doubt you will be able to use the payment before. You may have to pay another visa fee.

The new AVITS website is messy. I cancelled an appointment (for someone) that has visa payment verification issue (another pending issue). I tried restarting the application and got the nasty 'duplicate application' error. The thing is every passport number serves as a new applicant that can't be currently deleted by the user. A way for now is to create a support ticket requesting customer support to delete it. Your support ticket will hanging there without response except you call their customer support.

Hi everyone, please I am having issues with the usvisaappt.com site. I created an account but deleted it by mistake. I created another one with a different email and tried typing my details so I can get the Visa payment slip but it keeps telling me duplicate user/user not active. Please what do I do?

I made visa fee payment about 4 days ago on the new Avits website through bank transfer. Payment is yet to reflect and I'm unable to schedule an appointment. So I deleted the pending application request to start a new only to get the error 'Duplicate applicant found for this user'. I learnt the visa fee is tied to the email address used for registration. I'm thinking of deleting the account and registering again with the same email address in hopes the glitch will disappear and payment might be picked up. I even tried retrieving the payment details by entering the bank reference number and payment date. It gives the message bank 'bank details updated successfully and nothing happens thereafter.
Please has anyone encountered this issue and how was it fixed?
The support tickets I created are rotting away. No response since then.

I don’t think you need to. My last Visa was approved on an over 1 year D160. Let hear other expert opinions tho.

I read that DS160 expires after one year.

The DS160 which I used to book my appointment is one year already because I filled it around August 2023.

My appointment is around October 2024.

My question is: do I need to fill another ds160 form. If yes, can I still upload on the new visa site.

NB: I have not received any mail and it is even more than 2 business days since the new service came online.

It is working, click the "generate" button and it generate a reciept that shows a section for Non-FBN account holder. Click the hyperlink and you will be prompted to submit some information. After which it will generate a FBN account for you to pay into. Once you made payment into that account, it automatically confirms payment.

NB: That was based on my experience yesternight. Waiting for the 24hrs wait before booking appointment.

Check your mail there should be a link in it. They send it multiple times

Where is the IW topic you just brought in , in the above question?

Even with the IW, you are still going to wait for the Interview Waiver Confirmation Letter with detailed information on how to proceed.
That is even if you are qualified based on the questionnaire you filled in the renewal application process on the new portal.

To those who have received the confirmation email, how long did it take?

I am trying to do IW, I still have a valid visa expiring in 6 weeks.

Hey 🤠

1. They did not ask you to login, they ask you to wait for the instructional email so, keep waiting till they get back to you.

2. This new website (AVITS Amentum) gives the USA embassy more ease of work , and it has come to enforce " wait for your turn " on VISA applicants.

3. The only set of applicants who can go and sign up on the website are the new applicants who are very ready to go and do something there , especially MRV payments. Old applicants with future appointments must wait for the email from the USA embassy before they can proceed.

PS: Check junks & spam mails 2 - times daily.
