Politics / Re: The 2019 Presidential Elections And The Current Noipolls by Adminisher: 2:55pm On Dec 18, 2017
You have to use brains here. For a candidate of a country just emerging from recession, this is a very very good poll for Buhari. The result for the SW zone is interesting. I won't say it is false but APC is TWICE more acceptable in the SW than PDP.
Buhari has won his second term already without even starting to use his incumbent's bag of tricks. Believe me dem plenty.

Politics / Re: 2015 Election Result By States. Area PDP Needs To Face In The North by Adminisher: 4:51pm On Dec 17, 2017
PDP will lose Ebonyi, Anambra and Imo in 2019. They will lose wholesale in the NC in spite of the ethnic clashes. No SW State is going PDP in 2019.
There has to be a face up to the hard reality about what is happening. PDP has refused to rebrand and bring new faces, their supporters have not complained so they will meet DEFEAT.

Some of us were in primary / secondary school this period. Murtala Muhammad was in government so propaganda was negative against Gowon. Gowon was seem as a disgrace to have run a corrupt regime, refused handing over to democratically elected civillians as promised and to have become an ordinary student in England.

I have no intention of creating conflict **but**

Of all the things one could buy - why in gods name would Nigeria buy MBT's?

Certain forum members are exhibiting a great degree of childish ignorance (blissful no doubt) by advocating such things.

The Professionals, that being your Officer Corps, will no doubt be looking at more mundane, practical and cost-effective force-multipliers - things that are actually likely to get used - more MRAP's, heavy weapons, logistics vehicles, Comms, medical equipment, training facilities etc etc. Also, there is the fact that the Army formations has no doubt suffered varying degrees of equipment attrition in the NE and that all has to be replaced, repaired and so on and so forth.

With armies, you could drop $1 billion and see nothing more than new boots and a mountain of spare parts and ammo boxes - and that would be a good thing.

You are right. It is stupid to buy MBTs. There is no future projection study on warfare that predicts that MBTs are going to be useful.
UAVs, UGVs, USVs, robots, battlefield display systems, AI, attack choppers, et.c that is what to spend the money on.

Nigeria Airforce also needs SU 30s or MIG 35s to bomb with heavily and reach as far as possible.

The Russian built their oil industry based on abiotic process and it works for them, the American built their technology based on fossil theory and it works for them

There are overwhelming evidences supporting the two

There is no Russian theory driving it's oil industry. In fact no theory of oil formation is driving oil exploration. Old is found as an iteratively exploratory geological process backed by technology.

What is Russia's current oil industry was derived from the US. Rockefeller and a lot of US oil billionaires bought and mapped out thousands of acreages for exploitation even before the first world war. Western capitalists had almost bought Russia finish before the communist revolution. The communist revolution put a stop to all that.

You are a dunce if you think Atiku has a chance anywhere of becoming President.

These are some of the weapons purchased by GEJ to combat Boko Haram. Propaganda can bring u to power but it can not guarantee you reelection.

I don't want to be insulting but there is too much ignorance on Nairaland. Why are young people so ignorant in Nigeria?. Na curse.
Nigeria Army started using this class of weapons for air defense in 1967. In 1967, GEJ was in primary school. Stop annoying people with ignorance.

Conventional armies were buying Dushkas as commonly as Ak47 rifles for many decades. It is an old weapon. It only really became very popular when Libyan militias began looting Gadhaffis armouries and mounting them on Toyota Hilux vehicles.

If you say GEJ bought Dushkas for NA you are actually insulting him and Nigeria. It is not a sophisticated weapon. It is only deadly weapon because of it fits the rudimentary operational technique of insurgents and militants.

Nonsense. Africans with all manner of useless respectful cultures.

How has this helped us make progress as a nation please? Elrufai kneels for this, Atiku kneels for that. I remembered Onyeka Onwenu humiliating the great Igbo race kneeling for a gworo chewing prick washer. Later they dealt with her.

Buhari stood with Angela Merkel shaking and committed blunder by saying his wife belongs to the kitchen. Who kneeling help pls?

Actually this lack of a culture of respect by Igbo is a great sign of inferiority and weakness of culture. A great weakness. The Europeans, Japanese and Chinese built great empires and civilization by having royalty. Ibos will tell you they don't bow and that is a good thing yet they had a primitive caste system that denied their land talent and opportunities for development for more than 200 years.

The brain is free gift from God and should be used.
Have you even driven on Jibowu bridge?. As at 10 years ago, that bridge was already unsafe and ripe for demolition. Same as Costa in bridge. You should actually shove your face out of social media browsing, take some means of transportation and go and see those bridges.

They are going to put columns columns and beams to carry rail tracks that will transport 100 times more commuters than the currently bridges that are at end of life. I have seen this kind of conversion in more than four world class cities.

And for the funny poster saying government should use the money to patch up pot holes , I am very my sorry for you and the PDP governments that stole your inheritance and gave you jankara market mentality. It is a SAD country we have when youths have been impoverished into visionlessness

RealityShot:
in 2017 budget we have:

PART C - RECURRENT (NON-DEBT) EXPENDITURE

MINISTRY OF DEFENCE... 325,488,229,57

3PART D - CAPITAL EXPENDITUREMINISTRY OF DEFENCE... 140,000,000,000

Now they a approving another over 100% of recurrent expenditure to the same defence.

i pity poor man in Nigeria.. No hope ..smh

$1bn from ECA is not recurrent expenditure. I think the money will go to NAF and NA to pay for already identified sophisticated heavy combat aircraft and MRAPs.

Instead of working and fixing the economy you are busy complaining about PDP. What kind of party is this.

You got 4 years and you cant justify what you did with it and instead of focusing on the job at hand you complain about PDP. Will PDP CONVENTION FIX THE ECONOMY?

Nigerians are wiser, 2019 Atiku Abubakar will take over period.

PDP will win Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Abia and Bayelsa during 2019 Presidential elections. It is a regional party.

It is deep spiritual issues that is making some members of the stolen generation of Nigerians (24 - 40 years), the generations who preferred being slaves in Libya than fighting for their country to keep supporting these mofos

No Nigerian head of state had any business acumen except Apache. Anyway, OBJ started a farm and it ran down, Gowon was reading after overthrow.
The most useless has been GEJ, GEJ never started or ran any business before becoming head of state. We don't know what he is doing now.

However, enlightened Nigerians know better not to trust what politicians say, especially when they already have antecedents for better reference.

Atiku's supporters hope that his business background will provide a Unique Selling Proposition to market his presidential ambitions. However, they fail to realise that there is no empirical basis to justify that "A good Businessmen Will Make A Good President". The best presidents all over the world were never business people. Being successful in business requires being Profit-driven, while being a successful president requires being Welfare-driven - Two completely different skill sets.

There are very few true business men in Nigeria. A lot of people are thriving in a rigged system and calling themselves business men
