Politics › Patients At Ogun Psychiatric Hospital Protest ‘poor Treatment’ by Administration1(op): 8:20pm On May 19, 2024 |
Patients at the Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun state, have protested the “poor treatment” being meted to them at the facility.
According to Channels Television, the patients alleged poor feeding, poor sanitary conditions, and the absence of an alternative power source.
The violent protest lasted for more than two hours before police operatives from the Lafenwa Divisional Headquarters intervened and brought the situation under control.
A psychiatric doctor and three nurses were said to have escaped lynching during the protest.
Some relatives of the patients said the poor treatment had been going on for a while.
Speaking on the development, Enatufe Omoh, the Lafenwa divisional police officer (DPO), said only one of the psychiatric doctors was assaulted.
He said the doctor was bitten by some of the patients. The DPO said the protesters had disagreements with their handlers at the facility after being denied some privileges. Source: https://www.thecable.ng/patients-at-ogun-psychiatric-hospital-protest-poor-treatment/amp/

No right thinking Labour leader can accept it.
When the current president was campaigning he said agbado ewa etc. Truly he meant it, he wants the entire populace to depend only on eating the aforementioned foods.
But it's practically insane to think that any right thinking Nigerian will support the proposed minimum wage of 48k, it makes no sense at all except such an individual is demented. |
