Contact Center vs. Call Centers - Key differences to know What is a call centre? The difference between a call centre and a contact centre comes down to the channels each uses. Let's start with the nature of the subject itself. A call centre is a "reactive” approach, as it is a customer service provider designed to solve the issues of customers over the telephone. Here, agents make calls rather than receive them. They act in response to an issue that has already taken place. These calls could be sales, marketing offers, debt collection e.t.c Read More.... https://kal-master.com/contact-center-vs-call-centers-key-differences-to-know/ |

How FOLARIN OLANREWAJU DAVID of Neris Global Enterprise defrauded Forex Investor of over 700Million Naira. It is no longer a news that FOLARIN OLANREWAJU DAVID, CEO of Neris Global Enterprise and his cohort has absconded with investor's money totalling of about 700million Naira ($1.5Million). FOLARIN OLANREWAJU DAVID established Neris Global Enterprise around September 2020 with office address at Block C2 Zamzam office complex, Behind Gastab Filling station New Garage, Ibadan Oyo State, Nigeria and Business account holder with account detail 2035950404 with FIRST BANK NIGERIA. Neris Global was said to have over 10 staff including family members, cousins and even proposed wife ( YUSUF TITILOPE BUKUNMI) who was the company's Admin officer. Neris Global Enterprise was established with the promise of giving investors 30% (30 Percent) Return on Investment ROI on monthly basis on every money deposited, and even has a compound interest plan for investors investing over 500 Thousand naira for a period of 3 months. David Folarin Olanrewaju was said to be consistent with his model with investors of about 1000 and some investors went further to register as an affiliate under Neris Global Enterprise to earn more as an affiliate. During the operations of Neris Global Investment, there was an investment model to help family ease the payment of children school fees and also those who wants to buy automobile and other electronic gadgets. It was gathered that investors trooped in and invested massively during this period and Neris Global acquired another office in the plaza and also bought some cars for the company to aid marketing. This they said lasted till April 2021, when he organized meeting for investors and invited some of the special guest in the person of his Pastor, and his parent’s friend who were said to be his advisers and patrons. David Folarin however changed the ROI from 30% to 20% with immediate effect and equally proposed a capital lock for 3months. With the new proposed model, investors would no longer have access to capital but rather the interest until 3 months. ‘’When he discovered this plan was no longer feasible and investors started pulling out their money, he later restored the monthly investment with 20% ROI. But investors felt it was still okay than having nothing.” By April 27th of 2021, It was said that FOLARIN OLANREWAJU DAVID could no longer pay investors after which investors gathered at the office to demand for their hard earned money. Ever since then, David Folarin Olanrewaju had been on the run and was not picking calls nor responding to mails. Investors tried to locate some of his staff which they apprehended and used as contact to David since he was not forthcoming. When the pressure became too much for his staff and investors constantly parading his parent’s house, David Olanrewaju was said to release a MEMO seeking for Calm and to resume payment in 90days. After series of Zoom meetings with investors, with the promise to resume payment by August 10th 2021. David Folarin didn’t keep to his words till date. It was said that he has absconded together with his Girlfriend YUSUF TITILOPE BUKUNMI and other associates like Durodola Oluwasegun, Oluwafunke Durodola, Ojo Busayo and others.

Gender Mobile Initiative is a non-governmental organization established primarily to complement the policy and program effort of Government and relevant stakeholders in eliminating sexual and gender-based violence and particularly in environments of learning. As an Organization, we have spent the last 3 years driving Policy engagements towards deconstructing the norms and culture that enable power-centred harassment to thrive in environments of learning in Partnership the Ford Foundation. Sexual harassment is gradually assuming critical dimensions in Nigeria’s higher education institutions. More interesting is the significant difference in understanding what constitutes sexual harassment which partly accounts for the inability of persons to identify acts of sexual harassment as one. Focus Group Discussion held with 11 members of different student bodies in Ekiti State University indicate that this could further perpetuate the culture of sexual harassment until it becomes an acceptable norm in environments of learning. They also highlighted other factors such as unequal power relations, lack of confidential reporting platforms and fear of being further victimized. The Sex for Grades video by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) further reinforced these points. In response to this, Gender Mobile launched the Campus Initiative. In the last eighteen (18) months, our Campus project implementation has morphed into partnerships with 101 tertiary education institutions for the design of individual institution’s context specific policy on sexual harassment prohibition and institutionalization of bystander intervention through the constitution of 30 Student Campus Ambassadors per institution. Our next big step is to unveil our feature-rich mobile platform. The mobile application is a feature-rich platform with confidentiality-driven reporting, reported case tracking, support community/safe space that supports proactive bystander intervention, information escrow, access learning Centre to learn about policies, case appeal and onboarding information function. The launch is billed to draw the Heads of partner institutions and relevant agencies such as the ICPC, National Orientation Agency, Committee of Vice-Chancellors, Ministry of education, regulatory agencies such as the NUC, NCCE, NBTE, Rectors and Provosts of Institutions, Civil Society organizations, media partners and student leaders across Nigeria. The Keynote will be delivered by the Ekiti State First Lady and Feminist thinker, Bisi-Adeleye Fayemi and an informational panel session is expected to have critical stakeholders. The event would hold on April 27, 2021, at Rockview Royale Hotel Abuja. Source: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/04/gender-mobile-initiative-launches-app-against-gender-violence/

Fayemi Court's Victory: PDP Can't Rule Ekiti through the Backdoor, Says Faparusi Victor Ogunje in Ado Ekiti Following victory recorded at the Appellate Court by Governor Kayode Fayemi, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and former federal Lawmaker, Hon Bamidele Faparusi , has told the opposition and petitioner, Prof Kolapo Olusola to accept that he actually lost the July 14, 2018 governorship poll. Faparusi said the Election petition Tribunal and appeal court's verdicts must have convinced the Peoples Democratic party's candidate that he lost the poll owing to people's disagreement with ex-governor Ayodele Fayose's leadership style. The former House of Representatives member, warned that Olusola and PDP would further sink into the abyss of political oblivion , if they proceed on appeal to the supreme court to challenge Fayemi's victory in spite of the clear evidence that the governor won through free and fair means. He said it would be an herculean task for the PDP to take over Ekiti through any judicial coup, since the voters vividly expressed preferences for Fayemi and APC in the keenly contested poll. Speaking in Ado Ekiti on Sunday on the Thursday appeal court's verdict that upheld Fayemi's victory, Faparusi said reality must have dawned on the PDP that it has no respite to get through judicial quarters. He said : "It is high time Prof. Olusola and PDP accepted the reality of defeat and join hands with Fayemi to rebuild Ekiti. "After two judicial defeats, the most honorable thing they should do is to call Fayemi and congratulate him. " With these verdicts, it was obvious that PDP lost the 2018 Ekiti Governorship election fair and square and due to arrogance of power and gross abuse of office. "The APC despite being the ruling party at the centre narrowly won with a total votes of 19,000, which signposted that the INEC and security were unbiased and fair to all sides. ,"The Petitioner should have known by now that the scenario that played out then was that, the poll was between Prof Olusola's godfather, Fayose and the people , who were already disillusioned with his demeaning theatrics , arrogance and incompetence . "It marveled the people that Prof Olusola and his backers expected PDP to triumph under that illusive circumstance when Fayose had either expelled or suppressed those who could muster votes for the party in the keenly contested election. That was nothing but self delusion. " Prof Olusola is an academic with honour and integrity, I expect him to align with the reality and stop wasting his resources on litigation with no prognosis but intended to distract the government and deny Ekiti people of good governance". |

INEC Knew Elections not Feasible Days Before Postponement, Says Ex-Lawmaker Victor Ogunje in Ado Ekiti A former Federal Lawmaker and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ekiti State, Hon Bamidele Faparusi, has said Prof. Mahmood Yakubu-led Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) allegedly had a foreknowledge of elections’ postponement four days to the February 16 . He said it was wrong and wicked for the commission to have kept Nigerians in the dark up till the eve of the elections before announcing the deferment, describing this as a serious betrayal of public trust by INEC. The INEC National Chairman, Prof Yakubu , had around 3am on Saturday, February 16 announced the postponement of the presidential and National Assembly elections and rescheduled them for February 23. Yakubu predicated the action on logistic problems encountered by the electoral commission. Speaking with journalists in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, Faparusi urged Nigerians not to despair by the INEC’s action, saying the postponement afforded them the opportunity to display patriotism and save Nigerians from being governed by bad leaders. “INEC knew since Wednesday, February 13 that the logistic problems it was encountering had become so high that conducting elections under than circumstances was no longer realizable. “Feelers from the Commission said even as at Thursday, INEC had not taken delivery of ballot papers , result sheets and other sensitive materials for many states of the federation. “But because of its promise that the commission won’t tinker with the dates of elections, Prof Yakubu decided to forge ahead. He thought they could pull through when those materials were delivered on Thursday night . “It was on Friday evening when all logistic procedure failed that it dawned on INEC that the conduct of elections no longer feasible and embraced the option of postponement at that level. “My contention is that, we expected Prof. Yakubu t to have briefed Nigerians on the actions being taken and problems being encountered to prepare their minds ahead before that disappointing postponement. To me, inability to do this made the action looked like a betrayal of trust”. Faparusi appealed to INEC to hearken to the voice of APC Chairman, Com Adams Oshiomhole that all Resident Electoral Commissioners that had allegedly been bribed to compromise the elections must be reshuffled . The APC chieftain added the commission should probe into the allegation raised by former Edo Governor that most of the ad hoc staff recruited in PDP controlled states by INEC , were card carrying members of the main opposition party. “The credibility of this election is paramount to President Muhammadu Buhari and international community, so INEC must be decisive and firm. “Allegations that bribes were offered to RECs and party members were recruited for the conduct of elections were to grave to be discountenanced, so INEC must probe these accusation and do the needful to save our nation from embarrassment of conducting polls that would be rejected locally and global community. “INEC should think more about the message passed and forget whether it was made by leaders of a political party. By the way, Com Oshiomhole was known not to be flippant with statements and whatever he might have said regarding these must be treated with despatch” |
