When I visited my bank, UBA@Acme road, Lagos, recently, I was told that that my business must be turning over one million naira(1,000,000) every month. I just ran away. Then I went to first bank on the same road, they told me I must guarantee or be sure that at least 20 customers will use it in a day. Because that is the condition they (marketers)can use to convince the management for approval. But allocation is free sha! And for every transaction, there will be a charge. (I have forgotten that) may be 0.75 or 0.25 sha!

TravelRe: QATAR And UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES PART 2 by adollyboy(m): 8:19am On Dec 18, 2016
As at yesterday, dirahm is #133:00
I sent money to Nigeria yesterday (100 AED) the person received #13,300.It was sent at Deira.

OBSERVATION :this price is not stable. lt depends on some factors e. g Location, agent, and the amount involved. I also confirmed that you get better rate in Dubai compared other Emirates.

About Egyptair transit, we spent less than one hour at Egypt Airport before we took off to Dubai. But I think the hours usually spent at the stop over thing depends on booking. When I booked my flight at Egyptair H/O in Lagos ,the sales rep.was so kind and patient that she showed us all the flight schedule for that month including the take off time from Egypt to Dubai. So when we(me and my wife) saw flight that will take off one hour after arrival at Egypt Airport, we just booked that one time. Meanwhile, there were some that will take off 24hrs after. That's why I said it depends on booking. My advice again is that it is better one book directly from the airline office. They give better information as per the flight schedule unlike the agents that are just desperate to sell. Even here in Dubai, when I wanted extension, I went to their head office in Deira, and they gave better information compared to what I have heard from people around.
But I must say, there is nothing special about their service anyway. They will give u juice /drink inside disposable cup
For about 2days, after arriving Dubai my ears were blocked.I experienced seriously pains in my ears that I started crying in the plane.Though people say it was the position I sat in the plane, some said it was because am not used to it. Also, u should beware of buying promotional flight ticket from agents because it might deny u some benefits of the airline.
l wish anyone coming to Dubai good luck. But be prepared to face challenges. So many things we read, hear about Dubai particularly on Job opportunities are not correct.

Egypt air allows 23kg in 2 places making 46kg in all. This excludes hand luggage. I boarded the plane on 22nd September to Dubai.

This your information from wakanow or what do you call it is a lie. Dubai still issue 1 or 3 month tourist visa. Please try other agencies or agents that can issue you your visa. The reason for saying all these is that they want to reduce their risk level. Let me explain. If u enter UAE with 3.month tourist visa, and at the expiration of that visa, God forbids, you didn't get job, and you refuse to exit UAE. UAE government will heavily fine that company that procure your visa. And this will be too much that that company may never attempt visa application again. Imagine you commit an offence of #10. naira, Federal Government now says you should pay #5,000 fine. This is why genuine companies that are not greedy are reluctant to issue all these long term visas.
There is this other angle to it, the company too has a way of monitoring you in Dubai when your visa is about to expire, and you have not secured any job, your visa status has not changed on Dubai system, the company will be looking for you. Once it gets you, it may threaten you or beg you, or do any kind of thing so that you can exit Dubai so as for it not to incur the wrath of government by paying heavy fines.
Nairaland GeneralDubai Securities To Get 60%salary Increase. by adollyboy(op): 6:39am On Nov 16, 2016
Security guards working in Dubai might have course to smile soon, as the government of Dubai under the auspicies of Dubai Protective System had concluded plans to increase salaries of security guards in the emirate.
According to a memo sighted, which emanated from one security company based in Dubai to all its staff, the salary increase is 60% of the guards basic salaries.
This increase takes effect from January, 2017.It is however not cleared if security guards without DPS license will be affected by this increament of salaries.

direct employment is good if only you have the RIGHT CONTACT. But I will candidly advise that you go to UAE with tourist visa(3months).Nigerians in collaboration with some other nationalities used employment visa to scam a lot of people. These are my reasons why I will not recommend employment visa.
1.The price is usually higher.(it costs between 9,000 to 10,000 dirahm to get employment visa if u are to get it through agent.)
2.No room for rejection of any offer(whatever condition u meet in Dubai is what you live with)
3.The risk there is higher.
4.The chances of getting real employment visa is very slim.

My advice for anybody coming to UAE is not to be too choosy on the job. It reduces the chances of getting job. And don't let your expectations to be too high on jobs and lifestyles of people in U A E. UAE is quite different from any European or American countries. If you are expecting the same lifestyles, opportunities, working conditions, everything in Dubai as you have heard about Europe or America, you will be dissapointed, and before you know it,you will get frustrated, you will get pissed off. Don't do too much comparism of job or Salary.
CrimeRe: 3 Nigerian Robbed A Supermarket In Dubai With Machetes: CCTV Footage Shows by adollyboy(m): 8:15am On Nov 02, 2016
I have just watched the CCTV footage. The following are my observations

1.The crime was not just committed .Not committed in September, October or November, 2016.

2.The footage did not show that those criminals are Nigerians

3The footage showed that the criminals were black.

4The footage was uploaded on YouTube on 21st of August, 2016,which indicated that the crime had been committed sometimes around August or earlier this year.

Having said these, I have the following questions for the writer of the story to prove that he or she has fact about the story

1.When was the crime committed ?
2Which part of Deira was the crime committed? (don't mention the name of the supermarket)
3.When was the footage uploaded on YouTube ?
4.Who confirmed that those criminals were Nigerians?
5.Was the CCTV footage given to you or the guy that uploaded it on YouTube officially
6.How come you just reported the story when the crime had been committed before 21st of August, 2016?
7.Did you interview any party involved or affected In the crime before you put up such headline?
8.Was it DubaiPolice or the released guy that informed you that the criminals are Nigerians?
9.As reporter, did you make any investigation before publicising the news the public to show balancing and fairness in news reportage?

Please I will need answers to all these questions before I make my final position on you and your stories or your blog.

Thanks.

Haba Nigerians!.A fellow Nigerian told me this news this morning but I said I will not make comments until I read it myself. Nigerians, we are our own problems in foreign lands particularly Dubai. what do we stand to gain from reporting news that have not been confirmed or verified. The advent of internet and blogging had brought about so many misinformation, lies and what have you. I wonder what was on the mind of the reporter of the news as at the time of writing the story. was he/she looking for publicity or want to get traffic as they call it to his or her blog?
Anyway, having read the story, there was nothing to prove that those criminals are Nigerians. Dubai Police has not come out to say they have arrested any nigerian that was involved in that crime. Is it that any crime committed in Dubai by blacks is committed by Nigerians?
Please don't let us say what we are not sure of or what we don't know. it is not good. if you are not a trained journalist, please leave the place for those who know the rudiments of the profession. Please don't continue to spoil the image of Nigeria and Nigerians by writing news that you have not confirmed. Now, he/she has reported the story ,if it is later found out that those criminals are not Nigerians, am sure the writer will not retract the story. And if does, how many people will read it.it will now be:ASO O BA OMOYE MO, OMOYE TI RIN IHOHO WO OJA. please pardon me just don't know how to interpret that. Bye for now.
