Stephench: Nuclear weapons aside I don’t think any major country can go head to head with another Major power without it being a stalement I think the Russians underestimated the Ukrainian army . Before the invasion Ukraine had the most powerful army in the old Soviet Union . So it was like number 1 and number 2 in Eastern Europe fighting each other But Ukraine has tried sha like almost going to 3 years now, Moscow no even smell Donbas more less Kiev so it’s currently a stalemate 12 Likes 1 Share |

Politics / Re: Don’t Mislead Nigerians’ – Dangote Denies Selling Fuel To NNPCL At N898/litre by adonainana: 2:03am On Sep 16 |
seborrhic: Exactly like why can’t he wait till October for petrol priced in naira that he claims will be coming out then. I think from a corporate business personality thr company is ashamed of the price of his so called hyped refined petrol. Even with the artificially created scarcity Nigerians have been going through the last 2 weeks, 898 per litre for refined petrol sounds absurd. You see Where God will now catch dangote is for the final price of his product to exceed the landing cost of imported PMS . In other words if it’s cheaper to simply import Then that’s when God can now checkmate this monopolist oligarch that has taken 200 million people hostage |

Politics / Re: Petrol Marketers Complained To That Our Diesel Price Is Too Cheap – Dangote by adonainana: 1:52pm On Sep 12 |
One major mistake dangote is making is he has no presence whatsoever in the down stream sector In Nigeria the downstream sector refers to the private depots where marketers lift fuel and even up to mega filling stations Maybe he didn’t want to spend more money but imagine building filling stations such as dangote filling station Game over for saboteurs Although people will cry monopoly sha At least he will lift from him refinery jeje and go to his filling station Jeje Another route why can’t even dangote team up with filling stations like Bovas and make something happen but this is Nigeria tho all man for themselves Like the other day I saw big hotels with big diesel generators up to like 6 on the same street and it got me wondering Why can’t one of the hotels turn on thier gen and supply or sell it for the 5 remaining one Everyone will have light if the price of diesel is shared by 6 people and trust me it will make the price of diesel almost 100 naira per litre. Win win for all the 6 hotels . But this is Nigeria Theoretical economics can never ever work in Nigeria 1 Like |

Always two sides to a story It’s possible she was broke to get a nanny ir childminder Only those who live in the uk knows how much childminders costs Also perhaps she thought she could just quickly go to work and come back And normally when a baby is in discomfort the baby would normally start crying so how did the baby get overheated Besides where is the father of the child Poor kid Poor mother People are going through a lot in the uk at the moment As funny as it stands she probably was going to work to make ends meet I’m sure if she could make a decision if not going to work that day she would have made it 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Naira Nears N2000/dollar Exchange Rate At Black Market by adonainana: 3:54pm On Sep 08 |
Covid19lockdown: No disrespect You lack any economical foresight. The higher the exchange rate the more astronomical the prices of building materials Would be. Infact imagine buying 10,000 naira for a bunch of nails In the end you will be frustrated and you will think builders in Nigeria are trying to scam you Even down to painting and wiring, you will almost won’t believe how much expensive and even workmanship would be Finally when it’s time to rent your house out after completion If you dare put an expensive price for rent age. Bird won’t even fly inside ur compound more less a human being coming to live there So you now see how a bad exchange rate is bad for everybody For investors, entrepreneurs, business owners Everybody Nobody won’t be touched by a bad exchange rate 6 Likes 2 Shares |
Politics / Re: Lagos Rail Mass Transit And Dangote Refinery, The Game Changer. by adonainana: 9:48am On Sep 07 |
Which stupid game changer is DANGOTE REFINERY Someone got supplied crude oil in naira , refined it and instead of selling to the public, afterall the market has been deregulated. The smart cunny simply supplies the NNPC with his petrol to determine price In essence DANGOTE refinery never solved the problem It simply went round the problem. Now just like cement, DANGOTE is simply using NIGERIA NATURAL resources to run a business and make money for humself and his family. Like I am sure everyone knows today if DANGOTE refinery burnt down and petrol stopped coming out, NNPC would simply go back abroad to import petrol for the country and sell at the same price DANGOTE refinery produced his. SO WHAT EXACTLY was the point of the refinery All the subsidies being paid to the different corrupt people is now simply being paid to DANGOTE. Like IS THIS WHAT YOU MUMMUUU PEOPLE CALL A GAME CHANGER 20 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Petrol Crisis: Trucks Stranded At Depots As NNPCL, Dangote Tango Over Pricing by adonainana: 8:51am On Sep 07 |
So just like that Dangote refinery never solved anything It won’t make petrol cheap The only benefit would be more forex since NNPC won’t need to import petrol again from abroad So in essence instead of dangote shamefully selling his price of PMS per litre at a price that he knows people would criticise him for He simply sells it to NNPC and tells NNPC to determine the price NNPC too moves under the canopy of forex , which is not a sound argument as the crude oil and everything dangote needed to refine the oil was paid for in naira Like this people just went round in a circle All The subsidy that was stopped is now being paid only to DANGOTE Like dangote just got 200 million percent richer And Nigerians still in misery Dangote simply took hold of whole country natural resources and simply done business with it What a shame 1 Like |

Sladem05: I hold my hands up and admit I was wrong . Naira got devalued to an unimaginable proportion Like not in a lifetime would I think it was possible Only this picture is giving me confidence in Nigeria atm After the naira got devalued by almost 3000 percent in 1983. It never lost that much ever again . Although it forever sank but not as fast as it did in 1983. Maybe there is hope for Nigeria in the future By 2027, perhaps things might maybe be stable and the economy can grow again and a middle class can grow . By all economical indices a middle class African family still has so much freedom than a typical working class European family. Emphasis is on the word middle class tho. Nothing like that in Nigeria at the moment

EyeCumInPiss: To add a bit of economic context Dollars rate to the naira in 1983 was 0.765 so a bag of beans being sold for 200 naira was exactly $261 dollars (200naira / 0.765) back in 1983. Today bag of the same beans is 100,000 naira and the exchange rate is $1 - 1600 naira . Which works out as 100,000 naira divided by 1600 which is 62 dollars In real economic terms, the hardship in 1983 was 5 times worse than the one we are experiencing now According to the principal of the school letter a bag of beans sold for $261 dollars then. It sells for 62 dollars now Also historically speaking just the way 1983- 1985 and life eventually got better after This time too in 2024 shall pass. No country can experience inflation forever Have faith Shalom 4 Likes 1 Share

10thTenthMan: Can you imagine eBay type of bidding for items in a dishonest country like Nigeria. How many people even have internet access and don’t have work. Nigeria that even the president lied and finessed his way into office. Who in their right sense would go and bid the right price of course even if the bidding was real, they will bid rubbish on purpose. It’s like the seller just came to give them a free car wetin concern them . The company didn’t do thier market research well enough . Reminds me of a foreign company who wanted to start a bicycle sharing app scheme in Nigeria and the first consultant they met simply said “ In Nigeria you go with your capital and an idea and you simply leave with Common sense in exchange for your capital and idea “ Online car bidding in a country that has the most dishonest people on planet earth Lol 4 Likes |

10thTenthMan: Yes ooo Cars 45 was so big they had thier own website and even employed foreigners as operational stragetic partners im talking around 2020 When Camry was like 2m naira and thereabout . Nigeria ruined cars 45 so bad that they ended up on jiji posting ads like any other car seller The last thing that now happened to them Was they eventually I think last year stopped putting reports on cars they have inspected for buyers in advance . They had a rating from A- E. Almost every Nigeria used car had an E rating ( based on the detailed examination of its transmission, gear and engine and braking systems ) and when it was displayed for intending buyers, Nigerian sellers started complaining that they were spoiling business for them. Even for correctly saying the odometer and mileage had been tampered with Nigerian car sellers took offence And thus car 45 natural death So whatever this one calls themselves , dead on arrival Nigerians are too dishonest to be dealing with online . 4 Likes |

Whenever a Nigerian government official or spokesperson comes up and refutes Or denies an allegation. Then by now anyone who wasn’t born last night should know the allegation was 100 Percent accurate and true NNPC would Rather supply offshore companies that they have interests in to keep buying Nigerian crude oil than to sell the crude oil to Local refineries such as Dangotes This now explains why all the government owned refineries in the last 30 years have failed woefully . The materials needed to run them Was deliberately being sold away by NNPC . So after 30 years, a private refinery by a serious business man comes along, and is so so confused where is the crude oil he was promised was available after all he only needs a fraction to run his factory . Omo then all kassala burst Companies run by crooks in NNPC have sold it all off or have been contracted to sell it all off Sorry Dangote 28 Likes 3 Shares |

I do not mean to spoil anyone hustle but there is nothing like a direct C of O The company selling the land would if rightfully as they claim would have gotten what’s called a global c of o for the whole estate which they intend to sell on to buyers Then each buyer would then now be required to go back to the Lagos state government to convert thier Global c of O to an individual one in their own names Well strictly speaking the last paragraph is not , compulsory, but sometimes it is if the new plot owner decides to sell it on in the future , because failure to do the last paragraph above would mean any future search on the plot of land at the land registry would real estate company c of o that was initially granted Get a lawyer before you get into any real estate development in Lagos to avoid stories that will or might touch your soul Barrister Akinola Solicitor and Barrister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 11 Likes |

Pointless news Dollar rate in 1982 was 0.673 naira to $1 In other words the 500 naira they used for wedding was the equivalent of $315 (500 x 0.673) In todays terms the same $315 is 472,500 naira (315 x1500 (dollar rate today ) So both the 1982 and the 2024 weddings hall books are expensive No news here To see 500 naira in 1982 was hell To see 472,500 naira too in 2024 no be beans 1 Like 1 Share
