I read some articles of late 'cause I was dealing with same experience. Was told it's very common with younger men 'cause in the long run, they transition. It hurts, but when you love, you see yourself being stucked with that person. You see yourself believing lies you ordinarily wouldn't believe if not in love.

You are right, "love" would make one gullible. The best thing for a lady, if you can. Don't catch feelings, even if you do, don't ever admit it, just act like you don't care. Most men don't take relationships seriously as we women do.

If you notice, as soon as he knows you have caught feelings, he would start acting up and you now be the one doing the chasing because he is already bored and has moved on to another girl. Married women suffer the same fate in marriage where they try to keep their husbands happy and the husband usually seem not to care.

Don't be so sure that she lacks sense simply 'cause your failed relationship had similar signs. She's an adult. What I see here is a girl in 'love'. Let her make her own mistakes and learn from them.

Who even said she was going to take any of the advise here? It difficult to talk someone in love out of a relationship.

What the guy is doing is very common with guys. They withdraw at a point, you complain, they apologize giving you a glimpse of hope only for them to drift back into that state of withdrawal. It's frustrating.

Exactly, guys do that a lot, on and off things, very frustrating. I think that is because most nowadays guys multi-date. They fully explore their options, better not to take a man you are not married to seriously like that, just do your thing and don't take things too seriously.

@Poster, please, read carefully this advise I am about to give to you. I was in your shoes just before opening this thread. Met him on Facebook, we even met and he was all lovey dovey. No sex. After he returned to US he was still calling and all and suddenly all the attention changed, blaming it on being busy just like you. I decided to confront him after reading this thread why the ghosting, he said that he met someone else just the way he met me online.

Men cannot multi-task like women, when a woman is cheating you would never know because nothing changes, she can still give you the same attention but men are not wired like that. He ghosted you because he is seeing someone else and he is giving that one the attention, he is not bold enough yet to tell you that he has lost interest.

Do not wait for him please, he has moved on, he might return but he would still leave so just dust yourself, but you need a closure,call him and ask him some real questions he is likely to tell you the truth.
