Politics / Re: US To Upgrade Nigerian Security Services by Adrian008(f): 2:49pm On Jan 25, 2012
“Prominent areas of collaboration may include training, intelligence sharing, modernisation of the security services, logistics and other requirements.

Um, truth be told, these won't be so helpful, not with the average Nigerian Police Officer's tendencies to be naturally indifferent towards any issue not involving the fattening of their individual pockets. It would've been a lot more helpful if they offered to help pull down that crap we call a security agency and build another. At the end of the day, those guys are at least 50% of the problem.
Politics / Re: Boko Haram Threatens Nlc Over N97 Pump Price by Adrian008(f): 2:30pm On Jan 25, 2012
At the former pump price , they paid less to fuel their vehicles used for operations, but they pay more now to carry their operations. I am not holding any brief for them.

Ehen, they pay for fuel with their hard-earned money as the rest of us, or from the millions those thieving Northern politicians pump into their coffers? They'd still afford fuel, any way it plays out, and that's not just. Boko Haram has no business with the NLC, unless either a lesser price is commercially advantageous to them and/or their sponsors, or certain members of the sect and/or their sponsors have by-the-side beaf with certain members of the NLC and/or its leadership, and that is if this report is actually the case.
Celebrities / Re: Heidi Klum And Seal, Set To Divorce. by Adrian008(f): 5:25pm On Jan 23, 2012
lol, Heidi used that as an excuse. Seal is getting old so time for a younger guy.

I watched Piers Morgan interview her. From that interview, I'd have to say I think she's a really nice gal. Everything about her in that interview gives me a good idea of the type of lady she is. She's probably a very open-minded lady. She could've started a family with an Aston Kutcher type, but instead, see what she went for. I really don't think that's the case.

Celebrities / Re: Heidi Klum And Seal, Set To Divorce. by Adrian008(f): 3:44pm On Jan 23, 2012
According to TMZ Heidi’s decision to divorce Seal has nothing to do with a third person. There is NO issue of infidelity.

But Seal’s inability to control his anger has become too much for Heidi to take, in no small part because it’s affecting their children.

TMZ broke the story that Heidi will divorce Seal, and we’ve learned this was not a snap decision. As one source said, “It was a long time in coming.”

We’re also told … their careers also played a part in Heidi’s decision. She has become a mega-entrepreneur and extremely rich, and that professional evolution has created a distance between them.

Heya! Huge fan of the couple. It's a pity!
Politics / Re: Our Next Ig Should Be A Foreigner by Adrian008(f): 9:54pm On Jan 21, 2012
We should revert to TRUE FEDERALISM. You know, the type practiced by the inventors of the concept, The Americans. We, in this country, are so used to indegenizing copy copy. If we should copy, lets copy all, or don't copy at all. In the States, EVERY State and county has its own police force with its own Chief of Police. That's a better idea. If Lagos has its own "IG" who was not subservient to anyone outside, tell me he won't be compelled to be more accountable.

Politics / Re: Labour Calls Off Strike! by Adrian008(f): 1:56pm On Jan 16, 2012
Andrian008, I used to like your analysis. How come you didnt do enough reasearch to know subsidizing consumption is the fastest way to doomdom. That is why pretroleum industries have never created jobs in Nigeria whereas a potential 3millions jobs is being transfer to foreign company we buy fuel from!

NLC was only masses concerned but thay saw the truth. Nigerians refuse to know the truth. Please dont follow the multitude, they are almost ever wrong. That is how they killed Jesus!

I've never supported subsidy. If you're going to remove it, at least ensure that the power sector is alright. I'd say at least 70% of all home and maybe office expenses on fuel is on POWER. Then you still pay outrageous bills to the same government. And why do we, the ordinary electorate have to suffer so much, when the "GOVENMENT" would just put their fuel consumption as part of the budget?  I'd like to expatiate more, but it'll take days.

When i saw the interview of that  imbecille called A Waheed Omar last night i knew they had sold out. He could not string two sentecnes together and kept on mumbering ! Money have exchanged hands, and may the spirit of the innocent lost souls continue to hunt the labour leaders till their death.

Amen!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: FA Cup: Arsenal Vs Leeds United (1 - 0) On 9th January 2011 by Adrian008(f): 2:40am On Jan 10, 2012
the goal was offside grin grin

No, it wasn't. Watch the replay. Pause it exactly at the point the ball leaves Song's foot. Notice a certain defender ahead of him at the far opposite wing. His run was just too fast and well calculated, so you might not notice without replay. Experience, perhaps. I guess the refs didn't bother because they're all too familiar with his offside-beating antics. I'd have to say; HE STILL HAS IT IN HIM!

Soon, even human ritualists would say same.
Politics / Re: Serious Fire Outbreak At Ebute Metta, Near 3rd Mainland Bridge by Adrian008(f): 11:56am On Dec 31, 2011
Just coming from there. Those of you expecting to see this while passing by will not. This is inside a nearly unmotorable Okobaba, and this isn't the first incident. I saw the flames last night, but it was too late to check {for a girl at least} and I wasn't expecting this. Considering how large the flames from the last fire incident was, when I saw this, I thought it was probably some area boys burning tires until I saw this thread. Something similar happened sometime last year too {I can't really remember when exactly}. I don't know when these guys would learn. The entire Okobaba neighborhood is a carpentry neighborhood, their "sand" is actually sawdust, and yet they use stoves and lanterns on them. RIP to the lost lives though.
Politics / Re: Serious Fire Outbreak At Ebute Metta, Near 3rd Mainland Bridge by Adrian008(f): 1:48am On Dec 31, 2011
@op

I think the fire's gone down. I can't see the flames anymore. That is, if it was that serious. I didn't see anything, just flames. I thought area boys were burning tire to celebrate New Year's eve. Anyway, after seeing this I checked again, and as I said, the flames have gone down, or maybe moved on.

ALL I'M SAYING IS I DID SEE FLAMES, WHICH I INITIALLY FELT WAS STRANGE AT THIS TIME OF THE NIGHT!!

"Sorry," "Pele," shall these be our only response? For how long shall these continue to be our responses? I feel ANGRY, not for this incident, but for the thought that I belong to a SPINELESS generation of a SPINELESS race! Less talk, MORE ACTION!!! I want to SEE, not READ, or HEAR!!! I want to SEE the Southerners of Abuja, boycott Abuja and return to their homes. I want to SEE the Southerners of Nigeria gather together, and send GEJ a message, with one voice; "No longer shall we live in their land and be butchered. You either move the capital South, or let Abuja be for Northern Nigeria, and let us return to as we were before the white man. Is the white man not the one to take ultimate blame for this? Is this sham we call a state not their creation? What business do we have with hopeless and ignorant savages of these sorts?" Now we see what the Igbos meant when they did what they did! "Pele"? Must we continue to be this defenseless, relying on our lips and the lazy drag of our finger over a flat, plastic casing, while we SEE the works of their hands?

Politics / Re: Nemesis! Blast Kills One, Injures Two In A Bomb Factory In Damaturu. by Adrian008(f): 12:59pm On Dec 21, 2011
It is sad that a human being could be brain washed into thinking their life is that worthless and they can be made to cause harm to their fellow being. too bad it is not the sponsors of this acts the ones caught in the scenes. I can't say any more than that right now we need to see more sponsors/patrons arrested.

I once saw a released video tape of an Afghan suicide bomber urging others to join him just before he blew himself up. The English translation sounded something life this; "Fellow Brethren, you have not much use for your life. You're going to die young anyway, either from Cholera, or some other disease. Why not become a suicide bomber, so you can join god on his right hand in the afterlife." {or something like that, I can't remember the exact words}. I have a feeling that's the same mentality most who engage in such in other parts of the world have as well. It has more to do with poverty than anything else. The wealthier, healthier, more educated FANATICS use the less privileged ones as their foot soldier, that's why they so oppose Western education ------- it brings along an ability to develop past such levels of poverty, and thus, such levels of vulnerability to manipulations.

@Adrian008, how :/ pls throw more light? your little sentences is annoying

You watch the news, you'd notice how the Israeli airforce pin points some bomb-making factory, or insurgent training facility, somewhere in Palestine {that's sometimes even within a crowded location} and blow it up. Sometimes, there're civilian casualties, sometimes, there aren't. I used to wonder how they used to fish out these elusive factories, until I saw Spieleberg's movie, "Munich." After that, I did a little research on Mozart. Personally, I suspect GEJ's dealings with Mozart has a lot to do with these recent occurrences, and I can never REALLY be certain these are just coincidental and accidental manhandling of explosive substances by these men.

The way to?

Can't you see? This bears all the resemblance of a typical Israeli attack on Palestine. All that's missing is air support.
