obamma:I just hope you will still maintain all these best place to work stuffs when you are asked to go tomorrow. You know they are not done yet. Do you know some BDMs have not been placed yet? Do you know also that man will oversee service group now? |
First Bank is just being insensitive. How would you sack people you pay between N70 and N80k without paying them a kobo as severance? It is not good enough for brand like FBN. You gave people just 2 week's notice and got 363 secretaries off just like that. |
You see, Nigeria media always want you to react in a conditioned manner which ordinarily you wouldnt have reacted. The guy stole governor's phone where he was sworn in. He had swindled some important personalities, including Owa Obokun of Ijesa land. He was charged on 6-count charge, three of which he bagged 10 years each and another three 5 years each WHICH ARE TO RUN CONCURRENTLY. THIS MEANS HE IS TO SPEND ONLY 10 YEARS IN JAIL. Nigeria media in their wisdom added 10x3 + 5x3 = 45. Can we now conclude that they are out to confuse people? |
I am so much sure that some people don't know what fraud is. They claim the guy has not committed any crime. Well, for your information, fraud is intentional misrepresentation of fact(s); if you misrepresent the fact but intention is not present, then that is a mistake. Somebody who lied about his business address has clearly shown who he is. He, definitely, has committed fraud. |
From Him we came and unto Him we shall return! May Allah grant Alhaji Adegbite forgiveness of all his shortcomings and make aljanat fridaus his final abode, Amin. I saw Alhaji last in 2003 at Internation Conference Centre, Abuja during MSSN at 50th and Alhaji Tajudeen who started MSSN. Well, both of them are dead now and in the hands of Allah, I pray Allah to make their death a rest for their souls, amin. |

I think the only factor that could actually shorten the life of a car is rust. That I think is very difficult to manage. |
Many comments on Nairaland even from those who claim to be bankers who should know. They talk as if after the minting of this note all existing ones would be phased out. As if legal framework like BOFIA and NIFU and others are no longer in operation. They paint scenerios which suggest that no limit on withdrawals again even higher deposits are being discouraged as banks would charge cash handling. In addition, this cashless policy has even reduced the limit on deposits and withdrawals. RTGS is there at 10M upward and yet the same bankers will break customers deposits in order not to exceed the threshold. The same people instead of rendering reports on PEP (politically exposed persons) they rather supply false information. In fact, if Nigeria wants to really fight corruption let their be sanity in the operations of bank and this should be championed by you and me. In all these, what and what are faults of CBN or even EFCC when the banks are bent on distroying all information that they (regulators) could work |
justwise: I think the problem is in the interpretation of Quran by some Muslim leaders, the problem is not just with Islam, Christians have the same problem as well, the religious leaders do not help the matter either, they are misleading followers who take seriously every word that comes out of their month.I respect your opinion bro. The issue to me is that Islam is a religion of knowledge. Even reading and understanding of the qur'an and that is why we have what we call 'Tafsir ul qur'an' which includes: 1. The circumstance surrounding the revelation of a particular verse or even a whole chapter. (in this case another verse(s) of the qur'an are used 2. It adaption through the teachings (sayings and practice) of the prophet. Since all prophets came for only two important assignments, to warn the mainkind from what is evil and move away from it and be the bearers of glad tidings i.e to tell mankind the reward of perseverance on earth. So, somebody who was just born as a muslim and refused to learn, what do you expect of such person? |

aguiyi: impossibilty does'nt exist in NigeriaMay God bless you for this statement. |
adyby: Do you know my problem with all these vices? If a topic on Boko Haram is debated all muslims and in trouble but muslim would quickly tag them as 'misguided element' |
Do you know my problem with all these vices? If a topic on Boko Haram is debated all muslims and in trouble but muslim would quickly tag them as 'misguided element' Then if it is among Yoruba, they will not waste time to tell you they are on their own. But my question is 'why is it that some people must defend every evil?' |
salakobaba: They will also need electricity to charge those tablets, the last time I saw electricity here in Iwo is about a week+, I travelled through Okuku, Ikirin and Osogbo yesterday and I didn't see light in any of those places (though this is a Naija issue), if he shouldn't installed desktop in libraries because of electricity (according to you) where would they get the light to charge there tablets, generator? Students are studying in an uncomfortable environment and the best thing to do for them is to give them ipads that will eventually be turned to games and browsing gadgets, 100 students for a test run after months of the promise, very soon he'll come out and say it's suspended because they didn't handle it well or we're still coming to other students. Hmmmmm almost 2 years now, only time will tell.Bros, you don't assume that every initiative will definitely fail. When it fails then all of us here will contructively criticise him for the failure. You see, we have seen enough of failed promises in that state and let me be sincere with you many of us are happy with him because, atleast, he is better than Oyinlola that borrowed N18b to build 6 stadia in the state. This is after having spent over 6 years as a gov without any state owned football club. Just imagine that! If you are following events in Osun state, you will recall that OYES received more criticism than this, and now World bank and some states in the North came to Osun to understudy it. The pay is too small though, I challenge you to make independent findings on this, those guys are happy doing it. |
salaksmana: U're d one ranting anyhow, I was born in Osun, raised in Osun & I'm also in Osun presently, I'm not like some people that stays in another state or even outside the country and start commenting based on what they see.Don't you think that this initiative is born out of the fact that the gov realised that most of you can neither speak nor write good English which made him to convene Education summit in Osogbo and the outcome of which reccommended this? |
pcicero: You are such a fool for posting this rubbish. I know you are the same person as the adybayor. So, I will address you like a brother since I assume you are yoruba like me. Why do most of you muslims wait till a leading christian cleric has made statements like Primate Akinola did before taking up every media space available in Nigeria to repeat your 'Islam is a religion of peace' nonsense? I know most of you inwardly rejoice when you hear that your boko haram has bombed another church or attacked another group of innocent Christians. I have many of you as friends and all you just do is to gloss over it since the attacks are against 'infidels'.I am not adaybayor. I doubt if you are realy a christian as ur bible warns not to call people such name. Well, that is if you care to read it. But you have not addressed any of the issues raised. If you are tolerant your response would be more objective. When Buhari said something of recent you guys called for his head but since it is coming from a suppose man of God now it is right. You are missing something. |
Hon. SuQ Ma'DIQ:See intolerance at its peak. I am convinced with this post that you are more useless and senseless than those animals called Boko Haram. Let me be truthful with u that with this kind of remark, you too can kill and do other forms of nonsense and attrocities being perpetrated by that never-do-well group called Boko Haram. Let us always learn to tolerate one another. Leaders should not use inciting comments as the rev did. There are a thousand and one better ways to pass ur opinion across without unnecessarily being harmful. |

As much as I don't like robbery or any form of irresponsible act, GTB should, as a matter of importance, do something to improve the welfare of their staff. The issue of contract staff in banking is their making and they use these guys the same way they use their core counterpart except that they dont handle some sensitive areas. I know what I am talking about and at the same time I had first hand experience of bank robbery not in GTB though. I would never pray that my worst enemies experience it. The rate of staff involvement in fraud and robberies is more pronnounced in GTB than any other. Even if they will retain the services of their outsourcing firm which is owned by an insider, let there by some decency. |
