Keegan: You go suffer for nothing, you go die for nothing on top of Tinubu matter.
Every human has shortcomings. Go out and vote for your choice and let others vote for theirs. Shortcomings that have cost millions of people their destiny... I will not die but live and fulfill Gods plans. I'm not sure about you, looks like you're already dead because a dead conscience is worse than a living evil. If the truth means sufferings to you then that explains why you're viewing critical matters with your eye-nus. I can see you're not done with Buharis suffering package, you are too "gigolostic" that you just can't get enough of them oldies. |

It's all good, Fashola, however smart he is, looks daft here because he is trying to defend folly and make sense out obvious nonsense.
Infrastructure, which commonly translates to basic amenities will only enable a smooth playing ground for economic growth. Fashola is deceiving himself because we all know that the infrastructure he is talking about is unstable power, bad roads, lingering contracts, and their biased, economically irrelevant rail project. |

We all know that the Great Asiwaju of Lagos City lacks the decency to preach on institutional moral decay which has eaten deep into the souls of Nigerians because he is also a champion and huge beneficiary of the moral decadence. This is why he chose to talk about running a credit economy even though he knows to run a credit economy, you need to build a strong credit strength (which we don't have). Jagaban failed to talk about the main issue which is how he will build a strong and empowered credit capacity. It is a talk for another day. If they born the OP well he should post the full clip. We have seen Obi's speech which lasted for over an hour, why did they cut the clip?? Patch patch

mach7: Fashola and Obi are not mates.
One major drawback of Obi is that he talks a lot and if you delve deep into what he is saying most times, it is hard to correlate his words into tangible solutions for the economy.
Furthermore, a lot of youths shouting Obi really do not even bother to critique his ideas or solutions. To them it is simply about being "Obidient"
Abeg obidient to what? Most don't even know. Fashola is talking about infrastructure in this 21st century, please what is infrastructure without stable power Omo werey odudunwa abdul05 |

Morphinne: Listen to the people correcting you bros. Any app you grant access/installed on your phone is a potential spyware and google (Android) tops the list of such apps. Google knows more about you than even this true caller you’re worried about. Plus I see nothing wrong with an app showing me the most popular name with which most people save someone’s name with and checkmating frauds as a result. We complain too much about frivolities abandoning bigger issues. What an irony , you were even calling someone a blockhead. You’re so worried about privacy and you are using an android phone Stop comparing the activities of an app to that of a platform. Google owns Android, they have the right to use your information to improve services and serve you and advertisers. This is business. Using an Android phone has nothing to do with level of privacy. You can always control the amount of your info they have. Fyi, Truecaller also has an IOS version. Again, comparing android to Truecaller is the dumbest thing in this tech era. If you think iOS is more privacy conscious than android then should I burst your bubble that Google pays them billions of dollars annually to stop them from building their own search engine If apple starts a search engine today, trust me your privacy bruhaha will be dead. |

SeaTrade: If it has the highest number of millionaires per unit area like you claim, why is there no middle class in Nnewi and most of its youths carrying barrows up and down in those dirty markets hauling goods for N100? I am not interested in "ime-ahia" facts please. For a place that claims to have the highest millionaires per unit area in Africa,I mean the middle class there should be booming ,but its not so apparently. All people can afford to rent there are 15k/month old, poorly constructed, dilapidating ,storey buildings that their landlords have dashed them over their inability to pay rents, plus they combine like 20 of the so called millionaires inside one 3 bedroom flat. I'll suggest you pass because you're stressing me for real with your unrealistic claims, analogies and inferences. Lol I'll pass again. Your debate is based on hate and frustration. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu: Until We Have A Good Credit System, We Can't Conquer Corruption by Af0nja: 6:15pm On Jul 02, 2022 |
SeaTrade: There's no other way that ensures the circulation of money to lift anyone from poverty asides value! No other way. What?you want to start handing out free naira to people to bridge poverty gap? Look, cheap accessible credit means lots of people and businesses can/will now want credit to increase capacity/profitability,this process creates more demand for labor/services and its ripple effects and this is how people get lifted from poverty.
That was a terrible instance, never make poor examples so you don't come across as ignorant. It's not government's place to raise income oga, leave that to private enterprises. When you've attracted the creation of enough of them in your country, they'll compete amongst themselves to get the best man for the job in their enterprises, one of the ways they do this is by offering bigger pay for labor. That's how income bracket of a nation increases. Government can only set minimum wage.
This makes no sense, the consumer determines his/her credit strength by his/her earning potential. If you want more credit strength, earn more money legally! Proceeds of corruption aren't kept in commercial banks ,neither do banks use them for credit eligibility. What they look at is cashflow and not volume of deposit.
The capitalist countries didn't just acquire a hundred times Nigeria's economic strength in one day.It was processes like these that led them to where they are today.Nigeria can do same by emulating the same methods.
Of course jagaban is smarter than I am,there's no disputing that. Even if it was scripted by someone else,it means he has smart thinking people as his entourage and that's good enough. Peter Obi speaks a lot of dumb economics from his brain which makes little to no economic sense to the trained eye, I rather one who speaks correct from a script than another that spits a lot of garbage from his brain. He wants to make Nigeria an economic powerhouse, yet he saved N75B in a volatile currency,in a state with one of Nigeria's poorest citizens whose biggest prospect of its citizenry is nwaboy and yet sees it as bragging rights /him being an economic wizkid tells me all I need to know about how empty he actually is, Ask him for a step by step guide on how he intends to make Nigeria an export nation like he's been saying and watch him go blank. I chose track record over sweet talks,no offense. Tinubu has told you how he intends to achieve economic progress for Nigeria.
I am not campaigning for anyone or make you see reasons to vote tinubu,I just have a penchant for identifying quality when I see it. Cheers. Nnewi in Anambra has the highest number of millionaires concentrated within a location in any part of West Africa. You're campaigning for Tinubu and denying it , lol I will not go far. You're not interested in facts, I'll pass. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu: Until We Have A Good Credit System, We Can't Conquer Corruption by Af0nja: 5:31pm On Jul 02, 2022 |
SeaTrade: For your first paragraph, we can do that by bringing in more working/productive Nigerians in the tax bracket and tax them effectively. This process curbs much of the naira that will be released to finance credit.Win win for everyone and a stabler naira.
There's no such thing as effective circulation of money, not even in first world countries.
No one will give you N4m credit on an income of N30k/month.Even in the US ,the volume of credit one can access depends on his/her income.
Yes,it is succeeding in the most capitalist country in the world(US) where 1% of the populace holds almost all of the nation's wealth. That's kind of how capitalism works.
Jagaban is smarter and more sophisticated than all of his fellow contestants, including that overhyped/arm chair economist Peter obi.
I hope I've helped to clarify your doubts, Cheers. Yes there's a way that ensures just circulation of money whereby a significant number of the citizens are lifted from poverty and above poverty index. The 30k I used for 4m is just an instance. My point is, if you don't raise incomes to consolidate the reality of the domestic market/consumers, you'll end up having corruption as people will seek other means to sustain their life. Because, credit is useless when the credit strength is weak. The capitalist countries you're talking about have an economy that is more than 100 times that of Nigeria, how are you going to build an ant's house with an elephant model? Jagaban is smarter than you, he read the words from a paper so it was obviously scripted. Peter Obi speaks from his own brain. I hope I have added some truths to your clarification. |
