The people of Ezhionum in Ukwani Local Government Area, Delta State, have been advised to support the state governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for more infrastructural development.

The convener of Ivan Support Group for Ndokwa Nation, and Chief Executive Officer, Ivan Soap, Amb. Oyibo Joy Ivan Anwulika gave the advice in a meeting at Ezhionum.

NYSC: EFCC Boss Harps On Hardworking, Says Internet Fraud Not Sustainable Approach To Life

The Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has called on members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, to be foot soldiers in the war against economic and financial crimes, in order to free the nation from corruption.

Bawa also urged the youths to work hard, saying that internet fraud commonly known as Yahoo-Yohoo is not the path of sustainable development.

The EFCC Boss gave the urge on November 17, 2022, in a lecture entitled “EFCC And The Role of Youth in Curbing Corruption” for memberrs of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, 2022 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1.

Speaking at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, Bawa, whose sensitisation lecture was delivered by an Assistant Commander of the EFCC, Ayodele Babatunde, Head, Public Affairs Department of the Ilorin Zonal Office of the Commission admonished the corps members to align themselves with the anti-corruption war by being change agents, good campaigners against corruption and by publicly owning the crusade.

Nigeria Loses $2.7bn As Oil Production Falls Below 1mb/d

Federal government of Nigeria has lost over $2.7 billion following the fall in oil production.

Production of crude crashed below one million barrels per day in August 2022, costing the nation about $2.658 billion.

According to Oil production figures posted by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC, the daily average production in August 2022 was 972,394 barrels, while 1.083 million barrels were produced in July 2022.

The production figure, however, was 857,606 barrels short of Nigeria’s OPEC daily production quota of 1.83 million.

At the average price of $100 per barrel, Nigeria lost $85.76 million daily, which amounted to $2.658 billion in the month of August.

NAFDAC Clamps Down On Restaurants Over Poor Hygiene

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) says it will clamp down on restaurants and fast food outlets in Kaduna State over poor hygiene.

The State Coordinator, NAFDAC, Nasiru Mato disclosed this in Kaduna on September 09, 2022.

Mato noted that the intention of the agency was to make sure that the restaurant operators observe good hygiene practice.

He said the agency had found out that some of the fast food outlets did not follow the guidelines on good hygiene.

Delta Police Nab Armed Robbery, Kidnapped Suspects, Redcue Victims

Delta State Police Command, on August 19, 2022, arrested two armed robbery suspects while on “intensive stop and search” along Warri-Sapele road.

Consequently, one local cut-to-size gun loaded with two live cartridges was recovered from a 22 year old Aaron Uko.

According to a statement made available to newsmen through the state police spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, men of the force also arrested two kidnapped suspects and rescued the victims.

The incident which took place on August 17, 2022, at Effurun roundabout, Warri, attracted police’s attention following an attempt to lynch the suspects.

Court Sentences Community Leader To Death For Killing Witchcraft Suspect

The community leader of Efen Ibom in Ika Local Government Area of the Akwa-Ibim State, Chief Essien Matthew Odiong has been sentenced to death by hanging for murder of a witchcraft suspect.

The 82 year-old convict, was found guilty of the four-count charge preferred against him by Akwa Ibom State High Court sitting in Uyo on August 12, 2022.

The charges against the village head who was married to 12 wives with 60 children, were conspiracy, directing unlawful trial by ordeal, stealing of motorcycle and murder of the owner, and a member of his community, Udoma Akpan Udo Ubom.

The presiding, Iustice Edem Akpan, found Chief Odiong guilty of murder of Udo Ubom by injecting some chemical substance on him, which led to his death on April 26, 2017.

Senate Advocates For PH Law School To Serve As CLE Centre

The chairman, Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele has advocated that the Dr. Nabo Graham Douglas Port Harcourt Campus of the Nigerian Law School should serve as the centre for the promotion of continuous legal education in the country.

The Police Constables who have undergone Six months intensive and rigorous training in basic, intermediate and advanced police studies, have engaged in physically exerting and intellectually challenging training activities that were carefully designed to transit the recruits from civilianship to professional police officers with the right orientation to meet the challenges of policing an increasingly democratic and rule of law-driven Nigerian environment.

According to Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali, the recruitment and training represents another huge step in the drive by the Federal Government to change the narratives of Policing by addressing the age-long manpower gap that has been inhibiting optimal police service delivery in this country.

The manpower drive equally aims to meet and possibly surpass the United Nations (UN) recommendation of one (1) policeman to four hundred (400) people.

Meaning and Categorization of Curriculum Design

INTRODUCTION

Curriculum design is the planning period when teachers organize the instructional units for their subjects. It involves planning activities, readings, lessons, and assessments that achieve educational goals.

Curriculum design can be segmented into three forms. These include subject-centered design, learner-centered design and problem-centered design.

Subject-centered design focuses on a specific discipline while learner-centered design focuses on students’ own interests and goals. Problem-centered design focuses on specific issues and how to source solutions.

However, the conception of curriculum as the cumulative tradition of knowledge has been with many educators years back and even to date. Thus, curriculum was seen as the aggregate of all school subjects (Ughamadu, 2006).

The Different Categories Of Curriculum Design

Current curriculum can be categorized into two: the Product Category and the Process Category. The Product Category is results-oriented. Grades are the prime objective, with the focus lying more on the finished product rather than on the learning process.

The Process Category, however, is more open-ended, and focuses on how learning develops over a period of time. These two categories need to be taken into account when designing curriculum.

My Marriage At The Verge Of Collapsing For Serving My Husband’s Friend Food – Wife Cries For Help

A middle aged woman (name withheld) has cried out for help over husband’s reaction for serving his friend food on his absence.

The mother of one who took to social media, seeking assistance to save her marriage said that her husband became angry when he walked into the house to see his friend eat without his presence.

According to the enstranged wife, she served the friend food because he had often ate with her husband each time he came around.

We Will Fight Insecurity To Standstill In Nigeria – IGP Alkali

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has stated that his administration will not relent in fighting crimes and general state of insecurity to a standstill in Nigeria.

The IGP restated the steadfastness of the present leadership of the Nigeria Police, while commending the Oyo State Police Command, and the Force Intelligence Bureau Intelligence Response Squad (FIB-IRT) for their recent successes in crime fighting achieved through deployment of technologically advanced assets, community-based, as well as traditional policing methods, and improved police visibility.

The IGP specifically acknowledged the achievements recorded via identification, trailing, and arrest of criminal suspects through actionable technical and human intelligence including the arrest of 6 members of a notorious bank robbery gang after concluding plans to execute a bloody bank robbery attack on a new generation bank within the Ibadan metropolis in Oyo State.

Similarly, the FIB-IRT has successfully effected the arrest of 5 members of a fraud syndicate specialized in hacking into bank accounts of individuals and corporate bodies to steal monies. The suspects were apprehended while attempting to hack into a company’s account and steal the sum of 3.4 Billion Naira.

The IRT Operatives equally arrested a notorious arms dealers and two kidnap suspects in Kaduna leading to the release of two kidnapped victims in their custody, just to mention a few.
