tossbal4real: Thanks a lot for the Info but I still have tons of questions (smiles). Professor Adeyemi is very fine and He is doing well, funny enough my final year project 2010 was in engineering geology too but I was supervised by Dr Oyediran (Bora)!

Anyways bk to my questions; 1. pls what do you mean by certified copies. 2. What month did you send your docs and when did they reply you? 3. About the IELTs exam: what score would be considered competitive enough 4. Do I need to contact any of the professors for potential supervision prior to been admitted.
Also, Nigeria is an english speaking country, am just wondering about the IELTS exam. Please Advise. Thanks
my dept required TOEFL or IELTS, it wasn't optional. I don't know about geology! Buh I did TOEFL

tossbal4real: Hi Aflynvir, I also finished from UI, department of geology and am looking to do my masters in the same Uni in Germany. Please what was your graduating set and how did you go about the application. I have already conducted some personal research but your experience would be more authentic as a guide in these issues. Thanks
contact @dimitroika since he is starting MSc in geology there! Departments usually have various admission procedure.

futurewise11: @dmitroka,
I was interviewed by the same woman.i guess she has alot to do within a short time.she prefered yes or no answer and she doesnt want ur compliment.

I was fortunate to understand her before the interview.even the receptionist there says her interview is very fast.

@all pls dont go to german embassy without adequate preparation.

Her question was based on the following
-purpose of travelling.
-study program,structure and curriculum.
-your sponsor(occupation)
-location of your school.
-intension after studies.
-accomodation.
pls what's the difference between study program, structure and curriculum

And I told him I don't have a personal observation about you cos I don't even knw u. He was surprised. But some of them are very nice and made ma stay here a nice one.. But Germans youths are very rude..but that should nt be a negative energy on u they are nt your professor na

Hi Godson and other peeps already in Germany. I will be starting MSc in Germany at Freiburg. I've been doing some research on Germany. All I've seen is that they are cold, arrogant and rude. Here is a link to prove. www.thepiripirilexicon.com/2013/02/germans-are-not-polite-or-why-we-got.html . Anyway it's good to ask Nigerians there how true is this. Pls I need your really elaborate reply so we can know what to expect there

if you have a current account at first bank they will do it for you but they ask for admission letter, statement of result if u are going for masters and other documents

Go to an high court and swear separate affidavits for the date of birth error and for the middle name difference. In the middle name avidavit, state that you bear the two names and one is a shorten form if the other then conclude that all documents despite the slight differences are yours. Swear same for the date of birth, stating your actual date of birth. That should settle it. Do that as soon as possible. I sent a mail to the embassy in similar case concerning the middle name difference case. They said it does not affect my application, and I should just swear an avidavit at an high court explaining the circumstance. So I wish you God's favor in your interview!

LillyGemm: I also applied to RUB although it wasn't my first choice. My first choice was Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU)and I have already been offered a place at LMU. When I log in my RUB account, it shows that my application is still taking part in the admission process. If you applied to another Uni and already have an offer there, then maybe use that acceptance letter to open a blocked account. I used the acceptance letter from LMU to open a bank account in Germany...Deutsche bank just emailed me today to give me my account details. It's always better to apply to more than one University. Good luck smiley!!!!
Which date did u apply for the blocked account! Wanna know how many days it took. I'm also expecting their mail too!
TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by aflynvir(m): 5:50pm On Jul 31, 2013
bissiejoe: I want to defer it till winter 2014.though it was stated on their website that if there is a need to defer, the admission letter would have to be sent back to the school.then another one will be issued for the postponement.I just want to know if it works that way.
If the school says u can, then u need not ask again

weebay: I have one pressing question & know this question seems kind of off but is it possible to send a certain amount home say €500 or less every month becos the €8k am actually borrowing a part of it frm someone here in Nigeria...or are there people in Germany that can get one a verpflichtungserklarung and then get paid for it...
You can, since you can spend about 670Euros every month! I guess you would have to live on just 170Euros per month. Possible if u get a job. But I doubt if u can withdraw 500Euros at once in a day! But u can withdraw in bits till its 500 and send to Nigeria. I'm only speculating from the research I've done!
