dmitroika: I also booked one way emirates, I did it online but when i called their office to confirm the mode of payment the lady asked why i booked one way and i said 'student', she didnt say anything after that just told me how to go about the payment. I don't want any wahala at the point of entry oh cos it ain't gonna be funny!

I went for my visa last Friday, and i'm really glad that everyone here is having a good testimony to tell, and those that are waiting i believe that your visas will be issued.

I AM NOT DUBIOUS! What kind of theory is this. How on on earth did you script this and say transcript should not be given because it will be edited! Then certificate too should not be given for fear of being edited! Or don't you know some schools confirm transcript? Abeg jare

Well, the good thing is that you guys pointed out that in a 'normal' situation. Things don't happen in nigeria normally. We might be entitled to get it free but somehow we still pay 5k and wait weeks for it to be processed.
I donno how they came up with the law but your transcript is mailed directly to the address you provide not given to you. This is the normal thing in nigeria schools and situation we deal with, its not like I made it all up. To us this is 'normal' so stop comparing us with advanced schools.

TO ME IT IS NOT NORMAL! My department in UI used to hand us our transcript after each session without applying until the HOD was changed to a Pharoah! That's why we Nigerians are comfortable with rubbish saying it's NORMAL

do things patiently, take time to correct the error! Sorry NASU is on strike! But if I were u, I would go ahead and apply by FAITH! I say this because they convert your grade to their system of grading and judge you based on that! it's my own idea sha! But what kind of Uni is such that makes such silly mistakes. I guess u also did not go through the transcript too when you collected it! Watch the strike whether it would be called off without a reasonable time for you to correct it! if it's getting late, you may take the risk of applying. Is it even a risk? No! It does to cost you ur life, only some money!

What is more depressing is when they ask questions on behalf of their brothers or sisters that are also matured graduates. I know the kind of research I did on different sites before I came across this thread and I had to read through. Just watch someone will soon come here to ask "I want to study in Germany, what do I need?" Or "I need a list of schools in Germany to apply for Summer"... Oh dear lord!

i gained admission before hitting here and it was my research that brought me here. I don't know people have to hinge a life career on information from other people, or they think the people that answer question ps like Tope etc work in German School board

joyoftheLord: Go to fotospeed at Ibrahim waziri, adeola odeku, VI and snap (if u are in Lagos). Tell them it's needed for german student visa application, they already know d biometric specification. That's where i did mine, 1K for 4 copies. And they will give u d negative copy.

I was a little bit withdrawn because i didnt have a place to pass the night...& not even a close contact in Munich to offer assistance...The Octoberfest is for real & the place is bubbling... After making inquiries from my school, i was advised to book for one night accommodation at the 'The4you Hotel and Hostel' - where i shared a room with 11 others (both males and females) for the night... Well, all i can say is that Munich is a friendly place... Before coming to Munich, try to get a smart phone and download the map of Bavaria...this has been quite helpful and I have noticed that most people dont really know their way around... so they are pinned down to their phones for navigation... Also, my dear brothers and sisters, please carry everything you think you would need because things here are quite expensive... See you guys soon & to all dear Nairalanders who are expecting their Visas, I wish you success...

princeolu254: Hahahahah..you are funny...they received the 11,000USD but one thing you forgot is that the 11k will be converted at their own rate not the normal rate you know which might make it less than the blocked amount and they dont give information of your account balance via email or phone...this one no need prayer because miracle no go complete the money for you...just try send like 1000USD more then you will receive the real confirmation....next time change euro and send directly, not from usd to euro or naira to euro. peace

i also sent 11000USD, and I got confirmation from them, they even told me how much extra I had in my account, which was 470euros. They said that will always be available for spending because it will not be blocked! So cheers!

After few days, i transfered another 1,450 dollars through same UBA, and they equally charged their commission fee of another 150 dollars, (meaning that they transfered 1,300 dollars). So the total amount i have transfered to my account in germany so far is 11,100 dollars. Please is d conversion in Euro not more than the required 8090 Euros?

I also sent 11000dols during my time. There was an excess of 470euros. That is to my advantage. That one will not be blocked so you can access it any time u get there

"the Immigration Office in Freiburg has agreed to your visa application and has sent it back to the embassy. I think it should arrive there soon. Please contact the embassy to ask about the further proceedings."
