What people don't understand about a tiger and a lion is that, yes the tiger is a little bigger and might be a little stronger than the lion but the lion has that mane. In combat, the lion mane is big shield against attacks. I have seen many lion vs tiger fights and have seen how great the tiger is at fighting. It can hit the lion several times but that lion mane minimises the damage that the lion may have suffered. So usually, whenever the lion lands a well aimed paw with sharp nails on the tiger's neck, the tiger usually backs down.

Totally disagree with you on Lion . Lion is always a king of jungle, it can hunt only when the prey is too powerful for lioness that is where the king would come in.
About fast, speed, etc you mentioned,these are not a quality of a king. If you know about lion very well every great lion has a territory under it control.
Mere looking you know that lion has a good quality of being a king. Lion is a king of jungle.
