Hello Jide,

My 22Gig balance of the night plan has been resolved in principle but it is useless because I can't browse with it. MTN is really its it difficult for die hard fans like us to defend ita actions. My day data keeps getting deducted in the night when I browse even though I restarted my phone around 9pm. Jide what can I do about this? I am getting tired. 08033726739

Hello Jide,
I noticed you are carefully avoiding answering questions and complaints on the night plan data that got wiped out. If there is no solution, please just say so and lets move on. I have been an ardent mtn customer since 2004 and I don't think I should be treated badly.

I have outstanding balance of 22GB on my night data plan before it was wiped out by MTN. Now I have gone ahead to subscribe for 10GB plan @5k for all day plan.

The least you can do is to return my 22Gb back to me or explain why this cant be done. Or is it too much to ask?

I have 22GB on outstanding in my night plan(the 4.5G night plan) but it has been wiped off. I don't think this is fair on customers like me that have been loyal to MTN from day1.

I have been on nightplan since 2014 and I have never missed a month's payment.
I also still have about 1gig left on the day part of the plan but I discovered once its 9pm I cant browse anymore. This is absolutely unfair

I use a Highlander 2.4l AWD, its being touted as rubbish, bland, weak, but its still going strong and I'm always falling in love with it over and over, its decent in acceleration, it seats 5 comfortably, but 6 normal sized adults can fit it and be okay for a short trip. (Naija style) Need I say its gone on site work more than some 4x4. Interior is still very clean, exterior is still good, engine is silent and transmission is smooth, superb brake performance, silent cabin. I am thinking of going 3 more years with it before disposing it off.

My RX is another epic WoW factor.... No Acura MDX of same year model tht ive seen has defeated it in terms of reliability, comfort and build quality. Superb acceleration, brakes, silent cabin, silent engine, smooth gears.

Bro, Toyota's previous motto, "good thinking, good product" and their later motto, "take the lead" is real and can always be felt in their product.

You are right lomomike. In as much as I don't want to detract from other brands I think Toyota is still the best. This is my 4th ride and the closest car I can compare to the 4runner in terms of durability and stability on the road is my first car- Mercedes Benz v-boot. Now that is another crazily durable car.. I had to give it out after five years when it refuse to die after years of misuse..

I am so happy I settled for the 4runner. I got me a 2004 v8 silver color sport edition.it comes with 4 wheel drive and hill descent assist..

7 months on, and all I ever change is oil and absolutely nothing else. Still drive on the stock brake pad, tyres and battery.. I cant believe it.. Fuel consumption is not too bad. I use half tank per week and the full tank is 87litres. You can do the math...

Admittedly, the car does not have gadgets, no reverse cam, no dvd and no Bluetooth but men nobody will remember all those if the car is problematic.

Drivability is smooth, merging into traffic is awesome and acceleration is wow. Quiet ride and no road noise. The only issue is a small squeaking sound coming from the trunk area. I plan to investigate that when I have the time.

All in all, don't have any regrets at all and I will recommend this car to anyone anytime anyday... I now understand why we shout Toyota in this country.. Their reliability is unbeatable.

I have an issue with my Nissan altima 2004 model. The top gasket got burnt recently and I had to change it but now the engine oil is leaking badly.. I have tried to fix it without success.

The oil keeps getting short within 3 days and when it does the car just dies. Note this leakage has been on even before the gasket got burnt just that it has becomes worse..

Also the transmission slams onto position anytime I put my foot on d brake and try to shift the transmission from reverse to drive. Although the movement of the car is still somehow smooth but there is a slight delay in shifting.

Pls how can I solve these problems.

Hello morning all,

Please I need an urgent advice. I have a 2004 Nissan Altima. Recently I noticed that my engine oil leaks badly and anytime the oil is short the engine just dies and will not start until it has been filled up again. I have taken it to numerous mechanic and they couldn't locate where the leakage is.

The top gasket got burnt recently and I changed it but the mechanic told me that once this got burnt, the engine is gone that its a matter of time and advised I shldnt spend money on the car and I should just change the engine. Is this true? The car has started bringing out smoke in the morning but after some time it will clear..

Also, my transmission delay is shifting but still drive somehow smoothly just that there is a momentarily delay.. I have never changed the transmission oil before since ita not giving me the burnt look or smell. What could be the cause.

Can anybody assist with any advice or anyone who can fix this problem permanently? I am in ibadan but can come to Lagos with it

It has about 200,000 miles on it. I dunno whether the tranny fluid has ever being changed before but a physical inspection of the bolts on the exhaust pipe and the tranny pan suggest it has not.. Is it possible to use diagnostics code to know if its due for change? Also is there anywhere I can change it in Lagos?

Hello Gazzuz,

I just got a 4runner 2004 V8 and the transmission is sealed. No dipstick to check whether the transmission oil is due for change or whether it has even ever been changed before. I have read on several fora about pple that tried to change the oil but started encountering problems with shifting afterwards...

Right now the gear shifts very well with no issues but for how long will that be? It is a high mileage car...

Is there a way of checking with Diagnostics to know if transmission oil change is due and where can one change the oil?

I have test-driven and its really smooth and comfortable, and the transmission doesn't have any issue. The car is registered, so i took my mechanic to go check it out and he scared me to death. He likes the engine, but says the gearbox is generally troublesome (though it is working perfectly now and he didnt test drive). He also says the thumbstart is a big risk as it will be a huge challenge to fix if it develops a fault.

What are your thoughts please? How reliable is the gearbox and the thumbstart of the 2007 camry XLE V6?

please research the 2007 Camry very very well brother. i understand majority of them drink oil like pure water. please go to Carsproblem.com and you will see Camry 2007 is the worst model year. I ahve two friends that are using it and they confirm they buy oil like its going out of business.

Nice thread... please which OBD II scanner can I get for my 2004 4runner? I understand that some scanner that support CAN protocol (i.e Maxi scan MS509 OBD2 Scanner) might make some error light come up on the dashboard once it is connected to the OBD port. My car is not currently showing any error light, I just wanna scan it and see if anything is wrong.
