Car Talk / Re: Toyota Rav4 vs Honda CRV by Afribiz(f): 7:07pm On May 23, 2020
wax101:

If you can, I suggest you go for the 2008-2010 model. It is very spacious, has a good pickup speed(for a 4cyl), rides very nice with an excellent MPG. You can also buy the 2003-2006 as well. It doesn't have balljoint issues, it is spacious, fantastic fuel economy & very reliable. The 1997-2001 model is kinda getting outdated but it is what I call a rugged work horse. It has a good interior space, good awd system, the engine is stronger than any Toyota engine of its year & class but the only issue is the front suspension. It requires more attention inorder to avoid it pulling out on you.
The choice is yours.

I really appreciate your advice. At least, I now know that CRVs don’t hv ball joint issues. Will go for 2008-10. Thank you.

Not an expert, I recently bought a CRV and from the reviews have read from Edmunds, Kelly blue book, Scotty kilmer on YouTube etc. I can tell u that the crv is more economical and reliable than the rav4s. Try look up those sites.

Thank you so much, will check it out.
Car Talk / Toyota Rav4 vs Honda CRV by Afribiz(f): 6:04pm On May 21, 2020
Hello everyone! Is Toyota RAV4 2010 a reliable and convenient car?

Is there much difference btw the 2007/8 model and 2010/11 model?

Lastly, btw Rav42010 and Honda CRV2008, which is better, considering all factors.

Car experts pls help. Thanks.
Travel / Re: Twelve(12) Pathways To Relocate To Canada This Year by Afribiz(f): 2:02am On Apr 16, 2020
Twinkleberyl:
Applying for a job in Canada is pretty much like applying to a job in Nigeria, you need to show some level of competence on your CV.
First thing first, did you write your CV in the Canadian style? If you havent, do so.

Secondly, you want to get a caregiver job in Canada, do you know that caregivers undergo training in Canada that take anywhere from 6-9months and graduate as personal support workers, continuing care aides etc and this training cost anywhere from $2000CAD? These set of indivituals earn the highest wages in the industry.
Due to the high demand for care workers, a lot of care companies still hire workers without the PSW certificate and conduct in house induction training for them.
So you that is applying from outside the country, dont you think you should at least meet them half way and take a few courses maybe in childcare, eldercare, dementia care, food handling etc

Please read https://caregiverimmigration..com/2020/04/how-to-get-caregiver-job-in-canada.html?m=1

Pls Twinkleberyl, any idea of where one can obtain such trainings in Lagos?

Religion / Re: Why I Left Christ Embassy Church by Afribiz(f): 5:16pm On Jul 02, 2017
Please do not speak against God's anointed. We are all human and prone to some irregularities. I was one of those ppl that spoke ill of Pastor Chris until one night, as I was just sitting in my living room, watching him preach on air. Suddenly, I heard a voice telling me to pray for my son. The urge was so strong that I had to go into his room where he was fast asleep, laid my hand on his forehead and prayed for him, even without knowing why I did so. * Mind u, I wasnt a spirikoko, in fact I wasn't even going to any church then.

In the afternoon of the next day, he developed a very high temperature that led to serious Convulsion. I almost lost him, but God was ahead of d devil's plan. I then knew why the spirit of God asked me to pray for him and thank God I did.

I've asked God to forgive me for speaking against the Man of God, and since then, I've been a member of Christ Embassy and a worker too.

God has really been good to me and it has been from glory to glory.

@ d OP, I understand your plight. I sometimes feel the same way, especially the money taxing aspect, but I believe that the church is an imperfect body working towards the perfection of the saints. I've also realised that the more you give, the more God provides. I've never gone broke even with the much giving. Just make sure it comes from ur heart. Keep up with your faith and let's keep flourishing.
