FamilyRe: My Husband's Friend Want To Ruin My Home by Afribiz(op): 2:12pm On Jun 08, 2009
@oludashmi
Thanks dear  cheesy

Middleman:
so am guessing ur husbandis a big auto dealer at the auto section now? what is his nairaland name so we can patronise him,lol
pls update us?
Big auto dealer ko!
My good people, the business no come get head o,
He actually sent two cars for sale then, but before the cars arrived, he was already in Nigeria to handle the clearing and the sales by himself.  He collected the full cash for the first car, but the buyer of the 2nd car didn't pay immediately, so he asked my husband to help collect the money and send it to him in the U.S, with the promise of "settling" my hubby with some cash  embarassed.

Well, my husb. later collected the money and sent to him. Not sure of how much he was later settled with ( i was so pissed off to even ask).

That was the end of their business. He didn't send any other car since then. Infact, he hardly call my husband, and even when called, complains of being too busy with his family, work, too many responsibilities and stuffs like that. Well, i'm not even surprised, I know his type, it's just that my husb. couldn't read the hand-writing on the wall.
FamilyRe: Husband Caught With Wife's Daughter In Thier Matrimonial Bed! by Afribiz(f): 2:38pm On Jun 04, 2009
prittigrrr:
Why blame the daughter? She may have not been able to tell the guy no.
Meaning?
Is she dumb? mentally derailed? under a spell?
The girl is in no way innocent. She's an adult, and knows very well what's good and bad. For her to go to the extent of sleeping with her step dad simply shows she's highly promiscuous. A decent girl should be able to resist, and even go further by telling her mum what's up.

Poor woman, i pray she'll be able to handle this issue sad
BusinessRe: Ever Bought Stuffs At www.smartbuyng.com? Are They Real? by Afribiz(f): 12:12pm On Jun 02, 2009
Yes, they are real.
I bought Nokia E63 Cell Phone from them in February, and it's been working perfectly.
It was delivered to me in the office by one of their sales men, and I also got a 10% discount. I think they where doing promo then.

krazynaija:
Yes i have bought something from them,

I bought an Acer Aspire One laptop from them on easter monday and till today i have not used it for up to a week, it has spent about 7 weeks in and out of warranty center,

patronising them is like the biggest mistake i'v ever made, i am going to the warranty center for the third time now to request replacement and if i dont get it i will sue the company cos im fucking pissed off and iv been very patient with them, IF YOU PATRONIZE THEM YOU MIGHT HAVE JUST MADE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE, just a warning .

I am not trying to spoil their business i am only telling you my experience, yours might not be the same, Good Luck

If anyone knows steps i can take to get refund/replacement please post here and tell me.
It's a pity you had a bad experience with them. Why don't you go to their office, you have the right to demend a replacement cos it goes with a 1 year warranty, and urs is barely 3 months. You probably might have been asking them to fix the problem, just tell them you need a replacement right away. It shouldn't be a difficult thing for them to do, so long as the laptop wasn't mishandled by you.

@ifyalways, i thank u so much. i think i need to get a hold of myself sad
That, will surely favour you all the way.
FamilyRe: Should I Let My Feelings Known To Him? Pls Help! by Afribiz(f): 3:39pm On May 28, 2009
@ girlie,

* Call him on phone (at most once a day) and ask how he's doing
* Acknowledge his looks- like, whao! you look so handsome today
* Allow him to accompany you to some places, eg salon, cyber-cafe, church/mosque, etc, and do likewise.
* Little gifts every now and then will do.
* Ask him what he feels about your dressing when you're about going out (As in , do i look okay?)
* Show great concern in matters relating to his family and friends.
* Do console/encourage him when he feels sad, discouraged and confused.
* Always look good (from head to toe). Don't overdress, just be simple and unique.

Those are the clues i can think of for now. Please don't throw yourself on him, don't seduce him, that will only make you look worthless. It could even mar your blissful relationship with him. I'm sure he'll prefer to go for the girl he spent some energy on, than the one that came for him. Who knows, you could even be the one he was indirectly referring to, so just play cool and matured, till he eventually opens up.
RomanceRe: Found Out She Was Cheating On Me After Our First Baby by Afribiz(f): 4:52pm On May 27, 2009
Ebereu:
I met this lady after my youth service. One thing led to the other and we went into a deep relationship. From there and then we promised each other marriage. I trusted this girl more than i have done to any other girl in my life. After the medical tests and everything, i introduced her to my parents and she introduced me to hers too.Within the first one year into our relationship, we made our first hot love and this lead to pregnancy. i was not ready for an abortion and we had to perform some marital rites immediately. After this, the girl then packed into our home.It was during this period that i found out that she had another boy friend up till the time i made that hot love to her(the facts leading to this discovery are indisputable and proven beyond reasonable doubts). After everything, the put to bed a bouncing baby girl and we are almost fully married, though no wedding yet.My worries are that the boy was closer to her than myself because they stay in the same environment. Now, how do i ensure the child is really mine?Well, i am ready for a DNA test but if after that, the child doesnt belong to me, what do i do?Now i feel like throwing both the girl and child out but had to be cautious because the child may be mine.Guys in the house what is your advice on this ''if the child later becomes another person's own'' I dont have a single trust and love for the girl again.
Eiyaa, this is very very unhealthy in a relationship.
Pls if you don't mind, what exactly did she do? Was the guy her ex boy friend or are they still seeing each other "intimately"? How did you discover that?
How old is your girl?
If truly she's still having serious affair with another guy even as she's getting married to you, then i think she's not ready for marriage.
Again, if truly you don't have anymore trust and love for her, pls walk away(whether the baby is yours or not), cos those are two crucial factors in any relationship, and it's even too early for you to start feeling this miserable. How long do you think you can endure it?

FamilyRe: Lost Between My Wife And Best Friend. by Afribiz(f): 1:19pm On May 22, 2009
amebo no1.:
i whole heartedly agree with biina here, you are attaching too much sentiments into this

what if it is an official assignment, and the boss refuses to hear "sir my wife is due at that time" wat advice will you give to him?

Nobody is disputing the fact that your immediate family comes first , we all know that but sometimes it does not happen that way, there comes a time when the immediate family has to sacrifice for things to work out well

Some Women are emotional blackmailers, they will hold on to your emotions and turn it around for their own selfish gain
You can't compare an official assignment with a wedding ceremony. I'm sure the wife wouldn't tell him not to go if it relates to his work. She'll just make up her mind that her hubby might be absent on the day of her delivery. However, she knows the wedding will go on smoothly, with or without her hubby's presence, so why must he go when the wife need him around?

His friend could even possibly persuade him to stay for the Thanksgiving on Sunday, since he also attended theirs. Sacrifice indeed.

I don't know if you're a man or a woman, but i don't think you know the gravity of pain a woman goes through, right from conception to the delivery day. If you do, you wouldn't refer to a woman's request for her husband's presence during her labour and delivery as a selfish motive. Don't just talk out of ignorance.
FamilyRe: My Wife Is Driving Me Nuts: Doesn't Want A New Baby by Afribiz(f): 11:52am On May 22, 2009
I don't like judging anyone, & I don't interfere in marital matters cos, the root of the problem is only known by just the man and the wife., so judging from one side of the story is simply unfair.

@OP
One thing I'll like you to be sure of is if that child is actually yours. Anything is possible, and it is said that "it is only the woman that knows the father of her child".

Try everything possible to settle scores with ur mother in-law if that's the only way to have access to your dear daughter. You have to swallow ur pride for her sake. "When you want to catch a goat, you have to behave like a goat". If you eventually succeed, don't hesitate to take her for a DNA test. If she happens to be ur child, then you seek a lawyer's advice on how to go about the issue. If on the other hand, your wife played a fast one on you, then you simply forget you once had a wife and daughter, and move on with ur life.

FamilyRe: Is It Proper For A Woman To Build Her Own House? by Afribiz(f): 10:33am On May 22, 2009
phumeza:
it could be that your hubby is feeling threatened by the idea, and feels if you own a house ,you may not submissive to him anymore and can decide to leave him anytime you feel like it ,
That's pure selfishness.

My dear, build your own house, if that'll make you happy. You work hard enough to make the money, so you deserve to be fulfilled.

FamilyRe: Will You Allow Your Mother To Come And Live With You And Your Wife At Home? by Afribiz(f): 10:08am On May 22, 2009
Visiting - fine

Living/Residing - No

Reason: It takes hard work for a husband and wife to be able to live together. Accepting any other person ( be it mother, sister, brother, cousin, and so on) into ur home is like nurturing some foreign bodies into ur body system. The fact therefore is that, whether you realise it or not, the peace of ur home will surely be tampered with, and if not carefully handled, could completely damage your marriage.

WHAO!
I appreciate all your suggestions. Thanks, and keep them coming.

@ nomanicole,
How now, long time. Will give you a call later.

@Pattiano,
Yes, a woman is free to name a child, it depends on the kind of husband though. I know of some strict "native" men that insists on naming their children all alone. Well, my husband wouldn't mind me naming our baby, as long as the name suits him. Thanks for your advice dear  cheesy

Good day Dr Kathy,
You're indeed one in a million. Bringing out time and energy attending to people's problems without asking for a dime in return, simply shows how caring and selfless you are.

May the grace of God be sufficient for you. As you carry the burden of others upon your shoulders, so shall God grant your heart desires, He'll supply all your need according to His riches in glory, and you'll lack no good thing in Jesus Name, Amen.

FamilyRe: Why Do Most Women Maltreat Their Househelps? by Afribiz(f): 2:26pm On Feb 17, 2009
I think the question here should be :Why do most househelps maltreat their boss.
I've seen many cases of househelps being unduly/unnecessarily wicked, doing so many unimaginable and absurd things in and out of the house. Tell me, how do you want the madam to treat such a househelp?

Most of them are too greedy that they'll go about begging for food, even after eating at home, telling everyone that cares to listen that they've not had any food to eat since yesterday.

I always advise women close to me to send such househelps back home cuz people will only see the maltreatment, and won't believe the level of atrocity being committed by the househelp.

I don't have any househelp for now, and i pray to get a good one when I'm ready. God help us.
Christianity EtcRe: Should We Stop Giving Tithe? by Afribiz(f): 12:23pm On Feb 12, 2009
Pay your tithe as God directed, it's for your own good. If the pastors however decide to use the tithes for their personal purpose, let God be the judge. That shouldn't discourage anyone at all.

Keep on giving. Good measures, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will men give unto your bossom.
