Confirming the devastating news to Vanguard, Pete said Yul had called him on telephone to inform him of the incident.

Pete revealed that he and his family started praying for the child immediately Yul called them.

Speaking about the deceased, Pee Edochie revealed his late grandson exceptional qualities.

According to him, his grandson is a very quiet, brilliant and talented child. He isn’t somebody one can ride on easily and he doesn’t get angry no matter the situation.

He stated that the deceased was so accomplished and was an unusual person.


The legendary actor disclosed that he always told Yul that people like Kambili, who excel in everything they do, don’t last long on earth.

Recall also that hours after the news of the death of Yul Edochie’s son broke out, Nigerians had dug up an old video of a prophet predicting his death.

The prophet identified as Prophet Samuel, the founder of Prophet Samuel King Ministries had predicted the death of Yul’s son in January.

In the resurfaced video, the prophet could be heard urging his church members to pray for the Edochie’s family as he can see death lurking around them.

Though the prophet didn’t mention Yul Edochie’s son, he hinted at a member of the famous family being laid to rest.

Peter Obi responded on Twitter, emphasizing the importance of focusing on character, competence, capacity, and compassion, rather than ethnicity and religion, as the foundation for electing credible leaders.

He stated that in matters of governance in the country, Nigerians must rise above ethnicity, religion, and sectarianism.

After over four days of tension, anxiety, threats, tears, and social media shades, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) finally declared the winner of the 2023 presidential election around 4:am on March 1, 2023, while the whole nation was still fast asleep.
