1492- The Moorish Kingdom of Granadacontinued for three more centuries in southern Iberia. On January 2, 1492, the leader of the last Muslim stronghold in Granada surrendered to the armies of a recently united Christian Spain (after the marriage of Ferdinand II of Aragón and Isabella I of Castile, the “Catholic Monarchs”). They forced the remaining Jews to leave Spain, convert to Roman Catholic Christianity, or be killed for refusing to do so. In 1480, to exert social and religious control, Isabella and Ferdinand agreed to allow the Inquisition in Spain. Granada’s Muslim population rebelled in 1499. The revolt lasted until early 1501, giving the Castilian authorities an excuse to void the terms of the Treaty of Granada (1491). |

Toggle navigation Fertility Cults of Canaan SHARE Fertility Cults of Canaan Only recently have scholars begun to unravel the complex religious rituals of Israel's Canaanite neighbors. Much of our knowledge of the origins and character of these fertility cults remains tentative and widely debated. What we do know reveals dark, seductive practices that continued to entice the people God had chosen to be his witnesses.THE ORIGINS OF JUDAISM The people of Israel developed their faith in the wilderness. Abraham lived in the Negev desert, where God made his covenant of blood with him and sealed it with circumcision. Moses met God in a burning bush in the desert, where he learned the greatness of God's name and received his commission to bring the Hebrews out of Egypt. God spoke to his people on Mount Sinai and reestablished his covenant with them in the Ten Commandments. Throughout the Israelites? 40-year journey in the wilderness, their Lord accompanied them, protected them, fed them, and guided them to the Promised Land. There was no doubt that Yahweh was God of the wilderness. Allah OR BAAL? When the Israelites entered Canaan, they found a land of farmers, not shepherds, as they had been in the wilderness. The land was fertile beyond anything the Hebrew nomads had ever seen. The Canaanites attributed this fertility to their god Baal, and that is where the Israelites problems began. Could the God who had led them out of Egypt and through the wilderness also provide fertile farms in the Promised Land? Or would the fertility god of Canaan have to be honored? Maybe, to be safe, they should worship both;Yahweh and Baal. An intense battle began for the minds and hearts of God's people. The book of Judges records the ongoing struggle: the Israelites attraction to, and worship of, the Canaanite gods; God's disciplinary response; the people's repentance; and God's merciful forgiveness until the next time the Israelites reached for Baal instead of Yahweh. Under the kings, this spiritual battle continued. By the time of Ahab and Jezebel, the fertility cults appeared to have the official sanction of Israel's leaders. Ahab, with his wife's encouragement, built a temple to Baal at his capital, Samaria. All the while, prophets like Elijah (which means ? Yahweh is God?), Hosea, Isaiah, and Jeremiah thundered that Yahweh alone deserved the people?s allegiance. It took the Assyrian destruction of Israel and the Babylonian Captivity of Judah to convince the Israelites that there is only one omnipotent God. This struggle to be totally committed to God is of vital importance to us today as well. We don't think of ourselves as idol worshipers, yet we struggle to serve God alone in every part of our lives. It is easy (and seductive) to honor possessions, fun, relationships, fame, money, and a host of other potential "gods." We need to learn from Israel's experience and respond to Jesus' command for total allegiance. One way we can accomplish this is to study the gods that attracted Yahweh's people 3,000 years ago. CANAAN'S GODS Baal The earliest deity recognized by the peoples of the ancient Near East was the creator god El. His mistress, the fertility goddess Asherah, gave birth to many gods, including a powerful god named Baal ("Lord" . There appears to have been only one Baal, who was manifested in lesser Baals at different places and times. Over the years, Baal became the dominant deity, and the worship of El faded.Baal won his dominance by defeating the other deities, including the god of the sea, the god of storms (also of rain, thunder, and lightning), and the god of death. Baal's victory over death was thought to be repeated each year when he returned from the land of death (underworld), bringing rain to renew the earth's fertility. Hebrew culture viewed the sea as evil and destructive, so Baal?s promise to prevent storms and control the sea, as well as his ability to produce abundant harvests, made him attractive to the Israelites. It's hard to know why Yahweh's people failed to see that he alone had power over these things. Possibly, their desert origins led them to question God's sovereignty over fertile land. Or maybe it was simply the sinful pagan practices that attracted them to Baal. Baal is portrayed as a man with the head and horns of a bull, an image similar to that in biblical accounts. His right hand (sometimes both hands) is raised, and he holds a lightning bolt, signifying both destruction and fertility. Baal has also been portrayed seated on a throne, possibly as the king or lord of the gods. Asherah Asherah was honored as the fertility goddess in various forms and with varying names (Judg. 3:7). The Bible does not actually describe the goddess, but archaeologists have discovered figurines believed to be representations of her. She is portrayed as a nude female, sometimes pregnant, with exaggerated breasts that she holds out, apparently as symbols of the fertility she promises her followers. The Bible indicates that she was worshiped near trees and poles, called Asherah poles (Deut. 7:5, 12:2-3; 2 Kings 16:4, 17:10; Jer. 3:6,13; Ezek. 6:13). CULTIC PRACTICES Baal's worshipers appeased him by offering sacrifices, usually animals such as sheep or bulls (1 Kings 18:23). Some scholars believe that the Canaanites also sacrificed pigs and that God prohibited his people from eating pork in part to prevent this horrible cult from being established among them. (See Isa. 65:1-5 for an example of Israel's participating in the pagan practices of the Canaanites.) At times of crisis, Baal's followers sacrificed their children, apparently the firstborn of the community, to gain personal prosperity. The Bible called this practice "detestable" (Deut. 12:31, 18:9-10). God specifically appointed the tribe of Levi as his special servants, in place of the firstborn of the Israelites, so they had no excuse for offering their children (Num. 3:11-13). The Bible's repeated condemnation of child sacrifice shows God's hated of it, especially among his people. Asherah was worshiped in various ways, including through ritual sex. Although she was believed to be Baal's mother, she was also his mistress. Pagans practiced "sympathetic magic", that is, they believed they could influence the gods' actions by performing the behavior they wished the gods to demonstrate. Believing the sexual union of Baal and Asherah produced fertility, their worshipers engaged in immoral sex to cause the gods to join together, ensuring good harvests. This practice became the basis for religious prostitution (1 Kings 14:23-24). The priest or a male member of the community represented Baal. The priestess or a female members of the community represented Asherah. In this way, God's incredible gift of sexuality was perverted to the most obscene public prostitution. No wonder God's anger burned against his people and their leaders. PAGAN RELIGIONS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT Many, if not all, of the Old Testament gods had disappeared, at least in name, by the time of Jesus. Beelzebub, based on the Philistine god Baalzebul, had become a synonym for the prince of demons, Satan. Many of the ancient pagan deities lived on, however, now identified with the gods of the Greeks and Romans, the nations who controlled the people of Israel before and during New Testament times. It is not appropriate here to discuss all the gods and goddesses of the Greco-Roman pantheon; however, a few of them were significant in the first century, and some are even mentioned by name in the Bible. The leader of the gods, Zeus (Jupiter to the Romans), took on the role of Baal, the god of weather or storms. Artemis, the goddess of childbirth and fertility, and Aphrodite, the goddess of love, continued the Asherah cults under a new name (Acts 19:35), but with worship practices that were as immoral as ever. It is said that in Corinth alone, there were more than 1,000 prostitutes in Aphrodite's temple. Hades, the Greek god of the underworld, became the namesake for the place of the dead and even for hell itself. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus referred to the gates of Hades, or the underworld, believed by some to be the grotto at Caesarea Philippi, from which one of the sources of the Jordan River came. The grotto itself was part of a temple complex used in the worship of the Greek god Pan. Pan was depicted as an ugly man with the horns, legs, and ears of a goat. Most stories about him refer to sexual affairs. The worship practices of his followers were no different. Pan was associated with Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and orgies, whose worshipers continued many of the sexual rites of the Old Testament gods of the Baal cult. Dionysus was worshiped in the pagan Decapolis across the Sea of Galilee from the center of Jesus' ministry. Clearly, though the names of the gods had changed, the people?s worship practices had not. Only the child sacrifice of the Baal cult came to an end with the Greeks and Romans. MAGIC AND THE OCCULT' Many ancient peoples practiced magic. They foretold the future by examining animal entrails or by watching flights of birds. The Greeks had oracles, shrines where gods supposedly communicated the future to priests and priestesses. Demon possession was a topic of much fascination. Many sorcerers claimed to have the ability to cast out demons (Acts 8:9-24, 13:6-12), as did some Pharisees. Because the Bible, in both the Old Testament and the New Testament, recognized the reality of the demonic world and condemned all of its practices (Deut. 18:10-12,20; Micah 5:2; 1 Cor. 10:20-21), we can be sure these practices continued and were a temptation to many. Jesus provided the ultimate solution to resisting the seductiveness of pagan idol worship. He showed that he alone held power over the demons, sending them into the Abyss (Luke 8:31). He promised his disciples that his church would overcome all evil, even the gates of Hades itself. CONCLUSION Though today our gods'such as money, power, and possessions, are less "personalized" than in ancient times, the temptations for us are no less enticing. We would do well to remember the complete powerlessness of the pagan gods, from Baal, Canaan's bloodthirsty fertility god, to Hades, Greek god of the underworld, to prevail against the one true God and his Son, Jesus Christ. The symbolic meaning of 200, in the Bible, is that of insufficiency. A man named Achan, seeing among the spoils of Jericho 200 shekels of silver and other goods, takes them in spite of the Lord's command not to do so. Joshua finds out about the theft and, after finding the goods in Achan's tent, has him stoned to death (Joshua 7). This teaches the insufficiency of money to save someone from the consequences of sin. The mother of a man named Micah had two-hundred shekels of silver melted and turned into an idol. Micah used his mother's idol to start his own 'house of worship.' Over time the idolatrous worship grew and was adopted by the tribe of Dan, which became the very first Israelite tribe devoted to idolatry (and may be the reason Dan is not found in Revelation). This show the insufficiency of a man-made religion to please God. Insufficient truth is a lie |

Michael-Aaron Poindexter and Dafney Amilcar-Rodriguez, organizers of Greek Day at the Metropolitan New Testament Baptist Church in Albany on Sunday, ALBANY — On Metropolitan New Testament Mission Baptist Church's recent fifth annual Greek Day, 650 worshippers crowded the sanctuary where vibrant colors of the Divine Nine — historic black fraternities and sororities — are everywhere. The church sends two school buses to University at Albany and College of Saint Rose for the celebration. Dozens of students put on sorority or fraternity colors, then board the buses — and not just because the church throws an after-worship service feast in their honor with fried and baked chicken, delicious homemade side-dishes and desserts. Metropolitan invites Black Greek Letter Organizations (BGLOs) to set up Greek Day informational tables in the church foyer. Alpha Phi Alpha men wear the black and gold of Martin Luther King Jr.'s fraternity. It's America's oldest BGLO founded in 1906 at Cornell University. Metropolitan's Rev. Damone Johnson is an APA man. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.'s white and blue was worn by UAlbany alum Jimmy Dilone, lab technology coordinator for SUNY's Research Foundation. Like most Divine Nine members, he's devoted to his fraternity long past graduation, volunteering for its charitable efforts like Habitat for Humanity. He manned Sigma's table with UAlbany senior Moises Urena. Urena is too modest to mention news reports, including a New York Times story, about his tenacious journey from homelessness in the South Bronx to history major. "Phi Beta Sigma is in my blood and brotherhood in the Divine Nine is for all my life," Urena said. "There were people who helped me get out of homelessness. A lot of people who work hard, don't. My fraternity's community outreach helps me pay the help I got forward." Mentoring black youth powerfully engages the Divine Nine. (Urena was already praised on UAlbany's website as an outstanding campus mentor.) For example, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.'s Albany Alumnae Chapter has programs to guide at-risk African American girls from age 10 to 18 with cultural activities, financial education, STEM, beauty and etiquette classes. Like other BGLO sororities, UAlbany Deltas host an elegant cotillion, a showcase for grace and achievement. The sense of representing, of being an example to a world beyond the community, is also a strong BGLO theme. Urena and Dilone realize there will be times that they are the only black employees in a workplace, the only black students in a class or the first, maybe only, black buddies some white friend may know. That sounds like it could be an annoying burden but they discuss it with ease and confidence. "When I'm with my Sigma brothers, we always remember that wherever we go, we're representing something greater than ourselves," Dilone explained. "That can include family and the fraternity, but also the black community, black men in America. People look at what we're doing, how we conduct our lives ... it has an impact." An unknown universe Although Beyoncé paid tribute to BGLOs in her April Netflix special, Homecoming, many white Americans don't know the Nine's rich history — or their current relevance. Black leaders filled Twitter with groans when a white Washington Post reporter thought women were shrieking at presidential candidate and Alpha Kappa Alpha sister Kamala Harris during a rally. They were AKA sisters making their signature "skee wee" call. The worship service features Greek Day roll call. As each BGLO name is read, members respond with their calls. UAlbany's Asha Smith and Mmutaka Ajulu-Okeke wore AKA pink and green for America's oldest black sorority, founded in 1908 at Howard University. Although CNN recently called AKA Harris' "secret weapon" due its skill at grassroots organizing, "the sorority is about more than networking and socializing," said Ajulu-Okeke, who plans to return to home in Nigeria to use her public health degree one day. Metropolitan's Greek Day is joyous, exuberant, especially the finale. Divine Nine students sing as they do a stroll — the dazzling, stylish, line dances BGLOs made famous. It's a work of art, a performance of pride, a way BGLO founders claimed the right to be seen and heard in an era when keeping a low profile was safer. Students dance down the aisles past the pulpit and back to the doors. All the colors flowed by, from Omega Psi Phi brothers' purple, green and gold to the Delta sisters in luminous red. It's exhilarating, so infectiously fun that toddlers bounce in pews in time to the music. Metropolitan youth pastor Michael-Aaron Poindexter, 31, was asked whether some churches would balk at the lively stroll in a worship service. "Yes!" he replied, chuckling. "No one here felt like that. For us, embracing that enthusiasm is part of making the new generation feel welcome... Understanding why the fraternities and sororities are still so relevant is a way for us to reach out to them." Seven of the Divine Nine were founded about 100 years ago, when white college clubs refused to admit black members. They looked out for each other's physical safety in an era when Jim Crow laws were the rule and lynching was rampant in the South. Crucially, the Nine were also a potent blend of study group, community activism, social networking and, always, mentoring. That role still feels fresh and relevant to Smith. "(AKA) cares about social justice; that attracted me," said Smith, who comes from Jamaica, Queens. "The mentoring and tutoring opportunities interested me. Girls' education is an issue I care about deeply." Many Greek Day guests enjoy Metropolitan's welcome enough to become church members. (Some local churches invited Rev. Damone Johnson to teach a recent seminar about attracting Gen Z and millennials to church.) Johnson believes BGLOs' social justice champions wield enough influence to draw more youths in the door. "If they see a church is worth their time and effort, perhaps their friends and young people who respect them may give it a try, too," said Johnson. "Cities want to keep talented, educated young people from leaving. If students have a church home in the city where they attend college, they're more likely to stay." Greek Day guests often return to volunteer with Metropolitan's Thanksgiving project that feeds 500 families. Metropolitan also enjoys their help with a summer youth camp offering 300 teenagers STEM and financial literacy classes plus field trips to national parks, museums and colleges. In 2014, APA member Gregory Parks co-authored "African American Fraternities and Sororities: The Legacy and the Vision," which pondered whether BGLOs were still relevant. It noted that Barack Obama never joined a BGLO and was in the middle of his second term as U.S. president. But the last two years may have made BGLOs feel current, even urgent, Johnson observed. "Issues that explode nationwide engage these fraternities and sororities; Black Lives Matter, gun violence, student loan crisis, getting souls to the polls," Johnson said. "This new generation is the most educated and most imprisoned. Mass incarceration is a huge issue they want us to examine." Brothers, sisters for life All of the Divine Nine include mentoring youth in their community outreach. APA Capital Region chapter president Dean Akinleye bid a Greek Day goodbye to such a mentor: SUNY Student Affairs Director and Metropolitan member George Tiggle who died at age 45 in a car crash last month. Tiggle was an APA man who recently organized college tours for 40 Capital Region teens. As Akinleye describes Tiggle's volunteer work, screens above the pulpit show photos of his life. "If George were here, he'd want me to remind everyone he lived a full life," Akinleye says gently. He lists Tiggle's earthly appetites as friends laugh softly and brush away tears: "He loved bacon, fried fish, steak ..." Akinleye imagines what Tiggle would say now: "He'd ask us to resist the urge of fearing death. He'd want us to live full lives." Embrace history and the future Sigma's history inspired Urena to become part of its future. He refers to famous photos of the Rev. King giving the I Have a Dream speech to a sea of people at the Lincoln Memorial. "Not many people know that the man who did a lot of the organizing for the March on Washington was a Sigma," Urena said proudly. Several students at Greek Day own a poster of a blown-up photo showing Dr. King and three dear friends enjoying spring air outside the Lorraine Motel. It was taken the day before King was killed there on April 4, 1968. Next to each man are his fraternity's Greek letters. Omega Psi Phi (fraternity motto: "Lifting as We Climb" is above civil rights legend Jesse Jackson. Phi Beta Sigma's is by World War II hero Hosea Williams, who was still in uniform when a mob almost beat him to death for drinking from a Whites Only fountain. His personal motto was: "Unbought and Unbossed." The Rev. Ralph Abernathy is Kappa Alpha Psi. King was speaking in Abernathy's Montgomery church when a white horde surrounded it threatening to kill all inside. Attorney General Robert Kennedy sent the National Guard the next morning, unsure anyone in the church would survive the night. King, an APA man, died at 39, leaving an enormous legacy.Johnson's Greek Day sermon message was: God has a destiny, a purpose for every human. It resonates with Divine Niners who seem ready to connect with heroic causes. "(Sigma) is a place to talk with people who understand what you are going through, what you're hoping to achieve," Urena said. "It helps us find the path to who we're meant to be." I keep telling you they are coming out of the church. In the church are Black Romans and Black Greeks who are perverted Baal worshippers parading Christianity. Wake up out your slumber

The sexual relationship between these false gods set an example for unbridled sensuality among their worshipers. Anal sex between male and male worshipers and male and female worshipers was viewed as an offering to the goddess. Some 1450 years after Leviticus, the Apostle Paul references pagan worship in Romans 1:26-27, when he blasts the same kind of fertility goddess worship in first century Rome. |
Black Romans and Black Greeks held the same culture as the White Greeks and White Romans. This is what Paul saw and recorded in Roman's 1 chapter. January 29, 2020 Home>Highlight>CA Democrats Author Bill To Protect Sex Offenders Who Lure Minors Senator Wiener with fellow LGBT Legislative Caucus members Susan Eggman, Todd Gloria, Toni Atkins, Ricardo Lara, Cathleen Galgiani, Evan Low, and Sabrina Cervantes. (Sen. Wiener photo gallery) CA Democrats Author Bill to Protect Sex Offenders Who Lure Minors No sex offender registry if perpetrator within 10 years of age of the minor By Katy Grimes, February 19, 2019 3:03 pm State Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) and Assemblywoman Susan Eggman (D-Stockton) introduced recent legislation “to end blatant discrimination against LGBT young people regarding California’s sex offender registry.” However, under their bill, SB 145, the offenders would not have to automatically register as sex offenders if the offenders are within 10 years of age of the minor. State Senator Scott Wiener. (Kevin Sanders For California Globe) Wiener claims the current law “disproportionately targets LGBT young people for mandatory sex offender registration, since LGBT people usually cannot engage in vaginal intercourse.” Existing law, the Sex Offender Registration Act, amended by Proposition 35 by voters in 2012 (Ban on Human Trafficking and Sex Slavery), requires a person convicted of a certain sex crime to register with law enforcement as a sex offender while residing in California or while attending school or working in California. Wiener says, “Currently, for consensual yet illegal sexual relations between a teenager age 15 and over and a partner within 10 years of age, ‘sexual intercourse’ (i.e., vaginal intercourse) does not require the offender to go onto the sex offender registry; rather, the judge decides based on the facts of the case whether sex offender registration is warranted or unwarranted. By contrast, for other forms of intercourse — specifically, oral and anal intercourse — sex offender registration is mandated under all situations, with no judicial discretion.” “This bill would authorize a person convicted of certain offenses involving minors to seek discretionary relief from the duty to register if the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor,” SB 145 states. Proposition 35 was created and passed to protect children from sexual exploitation and sex trafficking. Victims of sex trafficking are often vulnerable children, “afraid for their lives and abused—sexually, physically, and mentally,” the Proposition said. What Does SB 145 Also Do? Legislators Wiener and Eggman say they are trying to shield LGBT young people from having to automatically register as sex offenders for specified sex crimes. But their bill does much more. Assemblywoman Susan Eggman SB 145 would allow a sex offender who lures a minor with the intent to commit a felony (i.e. a sex act) the ability to escape registering as a sex offender as long as the offender is within 10 years of age of the minor. No specification is made as to whether the sexual offender is straight or LGBT. SB 145 would add a section to the state’s penal code (Section 290.55) stipulating that as long as the offender is “not more than 10 years older than the minor,” they are not automatically mandated to register as a sex offender. There is no age limit or range specified, except for existing law which already excludes lewd acts with children under 14. SB 145 appears to allow adults to victimize minors by luring them with the intent to have sex, and then shields the predator from being automatically registered as a sex offender, as in the case of a 25 year old luring a 15 year old for sex, or a 22 year old luring a 12 year old. SB 145, as currently written, appears to allow certain sexual predators to live among the population without anyone being aware. Why is this bill needed? Here is the text from SB 145: This bill would authorize a person convicted of certain offenses involving minors to seek discretionary relief from the duty to register if the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor. Digest Key – Vote: MAJORITY Appropriation: NO Fiscal Committee: YES Local Program: NO THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 290.55 is added to the Penal Code, immediately following Section 290.5, to read: 290.55. (a) A person convicted of an offense specified in subdivision (b) may, by writ of mandate, seek discretionary relief from the duty, imposed as a result of that conviction, to register pursuant to the act if, at the time of the offense, the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor, as measured from the minor’s date of birth to the person’s date of birth. Here is the current California Penal Code § 288.3(2017) (a) Every person who contacts or communicates with a minor, or attempts to contact or communicate with a minor, who knows or reasonably should know that the person is a minor, with intent to commit an offense specified in Section 207, 209, 261, 264.1, 273a, 286, 287, 288, 288.2, 289, 311.1, 311.2, 311.4 or 311.11, or former Section 288a, involving the minor shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for the term prescribed for an attempt to commit the intended offense. (b) As used in this section, “contacts or communicates with” shall include direct and indirect contact or communication that may be achieved personally or by use of an agent or agency, any print medium, any postal service, a common carrier or communication common carrier, any electronic communications system, or any telecommunications, wire, computer, or radio communications device or system. (c) A person convicted of a violation of subdivision (a) who has previously been convicted of a violation of subdivision (a) shall be punished by an additional and consecutive term of imprisonment in the state prison for five years. Last week, California Globe reported on another sex crime bill introduced by California Democrats: “legislation to shield a person from the consequences of crimes they commit in California, even violent ones, as long as the person reports the crimes to authorities. The language of the proposed statute appears to immunize a person from ANY crime so long as they are reporting a violation of a sex crime law.” Sen. Newly released letters written by President Barack Obama’s father, Barack Hussein Obama Sr, paint the portrait of man a ready to cast his young family aside in pursuit of his ambitions. Perhaps that is the reason the president hasn’t read the letters yet. Brian Obara President Barack Obama’s father appears to have had a short memory when it came to remembering he had a wife a child in the United States. Newly released letters show that Barack Hussein Obama Sr made no mention of the fact that he was married to the future US president’s mother and had a child with her as he applied for a scholarship and a grant to tide him over as he pursued his studies at Harvard. The New York Times has for the first time made public the letters written by Obama’s father in the 50’s and 60’s. The letters were discovered at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem, US a few years ago. The centre provided scholarships to needy but bright students from Africa. Obama’s father was one of the students who benefitted from the study-in-America scheme. Left out out Obama and his mom Obama Snr, described as a brilliant mind by many of his contemporaries, married president Obama’s mother Ann Dunham, his classmate, while studying at the University of Hawaii. At the time he already had a wife and two children in Kenya. The future president would be born in 1961. However, as the Times reports, these details about his family situation would slip the older Obama’s mind when it came to applying for scholarships and grants. “But Barack Obama Sr. never mentioned his new wife and son, not even in his scholarship applications. In 1963, as he applied for a grant to help cover his graduate studies at Harvard, Barack Obama Sr. was asked on a financial aid form about his marital status and number of dependents. He left the section blank.” In the same piece, however, the Times quotes Obama Snr’s youngest brother Said Obama who stressed that the letters should not be taken to mean his brother didn’t love his son. President Obama’s uncle said his brother, then back in Kenya, often showed off his America son’s photographs and schools progress reports. For Said Obama, those were the actions of a man who loved his son. “I don’t think you do such things if you don’t love your son,” he said. Obama Snr, described as a brilliant mind by many of his contemporaries, married president Obama’s mother Ann Dunham, his classmate, while studying at the University of Hawaii The President is yet to read the letters The cover of President Barack Obama’s 1995 book “Dreams from My Father. Obama Snr’s marriage to Ann Dunham had fallen apart by 1962. In 1964 he returned to Kenya after finishing his studies at Harvard. He would only get to see his son one more time when he was 10 years old. In his 1995 book “Dreams from My Father” Obama wrote of the pain and sense of loss he felt growing up without his father. Given the painful memories they are bound to stir up, it’s a small wonder then that president Obama is yet to read the letters himself. The Schomburg Center asked president Obama to pay a visit to see the letters in 2013 but he is yet to come by. KenyaPolitics Barack Obama true identity is a US state secret. The fact that there were Black slave owners, black soldiers who fought for slavery and black who joined KKK Jews and poor Whites in killing other Blacks says anything is possible. All Obamas pictures appear staged and photoshopped. Agents are causing more confusion by putting out alot of photoshopped pictures of Obama. And Obama senior never acknowledged this son.

Sodomy is a rite By Dan Popp March 30, 2013 The term "gay Christian" is either an oxymoron, like "sunshiny night," or a non sequitur, like "spicy arithmetic." If the assertion is that someone can pursue sin while turning away from sin (which is the first requirement of the gospel; repentance), that's nothing but nonsense. Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, NAS95) But if, instead, "gay" means "a person with a certain predisposition (without regard to his actions)," then "gay Christian" is a phrase like "frugal basement," with no inherent meaning. The manual for Christians, the Bible, recognizes that certain people have tendencies toward certain sins, but it does not hold those people to a different, lower standard of behavior. I don't know of any scientific evidence to support the view that some people are by nature attracted to those of their own sex. I do know that this view has no basis in the Christian religion, or in any of the major religions around us today. But if we look back very long ago, we'll find that there were religions that exalted homosexual acts. These were all the rage back in the Bronze Age. (And why do "progressive" ideas invariably turn out to be failed relics?) There shall be no LovePeddler of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. (Deuteronomy 23:17, KJV) And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. (1 Kings 14:24, KJV) Other translations render this word "male temple prostitutes" and variations. It's the word qadesh, from a root that means to sanctify or dedicate. (See Smith's Bible Dictionary, entry for "sodomites." The worship of Baal and Ashtoreth included ritual homosexual acts, just as the fidelity of one man to one woman for life is an expression of faith in the one true God.The first chapter of Paul's letter to the Romans shows the connection between paganism and homosexuality. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.... (Romans 1:21-28 NAS95) The Holy Spirit here says that homosexual acts, and acceptance of homosexual acts, are obvious features of God's judgment on a group of people. They're proof of the heathens' rejection of God, and His rejection of them. Whether "gay" is made to refer to acts or attraction, it does not belong with the word "Christian." Yes, there's plenty of room in the Christian church for those who recognize that they are prone to evil. That would describe almost everyone in it. But the Lord will show Himself distressingly "intolerant" of those who call evil "good" and "right." If you want a god that celebrates sodomy, try Baal. I'm sure he'd appreciate the attention after all these millennia. Dan Popp Sodomy is a sacred act of devil worshippers. Devil simply means evil spirit. Evil cults through history seeking imperial domination, slavery of others and absolute rule have turned to evil spirits for aid. These spirits require debauchery as an offering. The entire history Rome founded by dirty Moors and Jews enslaving Slavic Whites and other Africans has continued until today. Both of them together created the man image of God the pale faced Jesus Christ. Black Romans and Greeks are heavily involved in satanic worship. Wake up out your slumber |
All 30 NBA Teams Release LGBT Pride Month T-Shirts Darren HeitnerContributor SportsMoney I cover the intersection of sports and money. This article is more than 2 years old. The National Basketball Association is embarking on a two-week campaign with on-demand commerce platform Teespring to sell limited edition LGBT Pride month t-shirts. Each NBA team’s logo has been altered to display a rainbow design set on a black background. Shirts are on sale for $24.95 a piece. All proceeds from the sale of the LGBT Pride month shirts will benefit the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network(GLSEN), a national organization focused on ensuring safe schools for all students. Its main mission is to reduce the amount of harassment that occurs at schools based on sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. “Support from professional sports for LGBT people has been one of the biggest cultural developments of the past five years, and the NBA has consistently led the way,” said GLSEN Executive Director Dr. Eliza Byard. “For LGBT fans and players alike, visibility and inclusion in the family of sports remains a key goal. The entire GLSEN family is proud of our longstanding partnership with the NBA, and excited about all of the work we are doing together to make K-12 physical education and athletics – and all of K-12 education – more inclusive and welcoming of LGBTstudents.” The LGBT Pride month t-shirts counts as the second execution of a new partnership between the NBA and Teespring. In March, the entities cooperated in the creation of specially licensed t-shirts that combined elements of NBA teams with popular recording artists and entertainers, including a match between popular DJ Khaled and the Miami Heat. Why is sodomy an offensive word to the gay community?BY JESSICA HAYNES AND MICHAEL COLLETTUPDATED FRI 16 SEP 2016, 4:07 PM AEST Email Facebook Twitter WhatsApp PHOTO LGBTIQ Action Group's Phil Browne says the word sodomy promotes stigma. 774 ABC MELBOURNE: SIMON LEO BROWN The word sodomy has been removed from Queensland's Criminal Code, as part of a new law which allows 16-year-olds to engage in anal sex. Meanwhile, LNP MP George Christensen has said the change will mean 50-year-old men can have sex with 16-year-old boys. So why is the word sodomy offensive to the gay community? We spoke to Brisbane LGBTIQ Action Group convenor Phil Browne about its impact. Where did the word come from? The word "sodomy" originates from the Old Testament; specifically, the story in Genesis of Lot and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Here's a summary: God tells Abraham that he will spare the "wicked" city of Sodom if he can find just 10 righteous people in it. Two angels are then sent to Sodom to investigate. When they arrive, they are offered hospitality by Abraham's nephew Lot. But when the other townsmen find out about this, they demand that Lot allow them to be raped. This is the specific verse which the Oxford Dictionary says linked the idea of Sodom with homosexual rape: "They called to Lot: 'Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them'." (Genesis 19:5 New International Version) Lot refuses to hand over his guests. His family escapes and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah are destroyed. Why is it offensive? "Well the word sodomy promotes stigma, prejudice and discrimination and society has moved on and recognised that all people are worthy of respect, regardless of what they may or may not do legally in the privacy of their own bedroom," Brisbane LGBTIQ Action Group convenor Phil Browne told ABC News. "It's a word that has been demonised, as a weapon to promote intolerance against gay people." What did the State Government say about it? Health Minister Cameron Dick said the laws finally corrected an injustice and protected the health of young people. "By removing anachronistic, value-laden language and ensuring equality in the age of consent, the bill will not only improve sexual health outcomes, but also mental health outcomes for young Queenslanders," he said. What will the change in law mean for young Queenslanders? "I've been writing to attorney-generals from the ALP and LNP for probably about nearly 10 years, however, others have been campaigning and lobbying attorney-generals since the 1990s for this," Mr Browne said. "This reform is about treating people with respect and treating those straight and gay couples who may engage in anal sex with respect. "It will open the door to important conversation with doctors about sexual health practices without fear of up to 14 years in jail, should a 17-year-old be engaging in anal sex." What's your response to Mr Christensen's comments about the law change? PHOTO George Christensen Facebook postFACEBOOK "It's worth noting that it has always been legal for a 50-year-old man to have vaginal sex with 16-year-old girl," Mr Browne said. The devil community desires to remove the word sodomy from homosexual acts. This is because Illuminati cults hide underneath consensual sex so they can disguise the religion of sodomy. Ritual sodomy is apart of the ceremony of Baal. Wake up out your slumber |

. There appears to have been only one Baal, who was manifested in lesser Baals at different places and times. Over the years, Baal became the dominant deity, and the worship of El faded.
