@Seun:

My programming career has come to an end once more.
This time it's because my work doesn't matter to anyone.  Cheers!

Could you tell me what make you bored about programming?

Maybe I should tell first step of reverse any software (mainly dotNet) is easy to do. (Most of the software you have to install them and notice trial version signs eg. 30 trial version, limited functions and so on.)

1.Download PeID: open it and drag any software (it can be *.exe, *.dll and so on) you want to reverse. PeID will check if it is packed or not. If it is packed then you have to unpacked it.

2. Download OllyDbg: I won't explain how to use for you read documentation about it.

3. .NetReflator: Download from here ---> http://code.google.com/p/deflector/

\\Please don't ask me how to use them.

Politics / [have Your Say] Is Millitary Still Ruling In Nigeria? by Afritelly: 9:02am On May 31, 2011
Is millitary still ruling in Nigeria?

I am asking this question because of what I have seen here: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-678466.0.html

From News, I heard about bomb explotions and so on.
Programming / Re: 14 Year Old Call Of Duty Hacker Hired By Microsoft - Hacking Is Not Bad Right ? by Afritelly: 8:42am On May 31, 2011
how come u were caught? cant u cover ya tracks?
i will like to learn to be a white hat hacker, can u help?

I think they noticed that the network was very slow. Admin and one guy check all the computers connected internet and they noticed that some computer were not connected, "They were wondering how come? ", I guess they knew already, there is an attacked on our school network. Because it doesn't usually happen, I think they check CCTV camera and noticed when I went to one classroom.

Quite a long story, to cut it short. Anyway, they reported me to my lecturer (Microprocessor's Lecturer) he was shocked. Been an only African student in that  year. Well, I failed his course because I decided not to attend his lectures. Because, through that day he was just monitoring me up and down.  That is how the story went. Following year I took the course and I passed.

I have checked Naija Network and noticed it is very easy to hack but I am not interested in hacking. Moreover, I have good things to do order than just hacking websites and networks.

\\Please do not ask me how to do it.
Programming / Re: Please Advice by Afritelly: 5:07am On May 30, 2011
Nothing special to comment about order than just go ahead and do it.
Programming / Re: Be Part Of The Nigeria Youths Technology Tycoons by Afritelly: 5:00am On May 30, 2011
@Podonasmit: Nice idea. Instead of giving names and addresses, why can't we inform Admin of this forum to create a thread where we can share ideas like this or create affliated new forum?

For me, the objectives are not so strong because one of it aims base on income earning "For the product sales" rather why can't we do it for free?

At the moment I can't give info because I'm working at a company where we always get Naija boyz fraud emails.
Programming / Re: 14 Year Old Call Of Duty Hacker Hired By Microsoft - Hacking Is Not Bad Right ? by Afritelly: 4:37am On May 30, 2011
Hacking and Cracking are not bad things. It depends on your reason of hacking or cracking. I learned cracking (moreover we don't call it cracking rather Reservse Engineering). There are good hackers and bad hackers.

However, Hacking server or technology is way of knowing how secure or loophole of that server or technology is.
I remember when I hacked my school server. I didn't get job in school, rather they warned me not to do again.

Qt is good alright, but Java runs on all Platform Qt only run on those with Qt library which is just Meego, and Soon to be Dead Symbian.

Qt is crossplatform, it can be use for Desktop,Web,Embedded and so on. It is opensource.

Don't waste your time anywhere just go for QT: It is C++ opensource and free to use plus Qt Demos and Examples to get you started.

Lastly, Delphi and Pascal in general are dead.
People have been saying it over 10 years ago. But still alive, coming soon 64bit compiler and crossplatform. Go through those list.

_http://delphi.wikia.com/wiki/Good_Quality_Applications_Built_With_Delphi

Surprise? Do you know that skype (Windows) was develop in Delphi?

I do lots of real-time video and image processing software in C#. . . Definitely note "basic desktop" and I don't know of many app types that are more involved or processor intensive than that area. Do you?

Yes I do, but not depend on anybody's dll files as dotNet does. Have look at it, one sample of over 100 projectes I have done. Over 5000 users over the internet are using it. It is single exe file and less than 2MB, fast, Consume less CPU useage.

Guy, you have a really grave misunderstanding of what Non Disclosure Agreements are
I understand what it mean. Before, I work as a VB.Net programmer, there are somethings (Core useage of FrameWork) that are difficult for ordinary programmer/beginners will know except they belong to Microsoft Partnership (this is where NDA comes in). I won't say more about it because of NDA.

The .NET framework is regarded by all experts worth their salt as the Worlds most powerful RAD platform,

Well, I will say for you. But not for me. What do you thing about QT?

C# , Beef has said it all

i dont think java is the best option for a first programming language especially if you are going to be self taught

This might be very very strange to some of you. C# is only good for basic desktop applications. But when it comes to design Complex Business Applications then you will get stuck on NDA (Non Disclosure Agreements), this is Delphi/Pascal will get you out of NDA. Then you will started imediately. Sound strange?

Programming / Re: Can Someone Give A Summary Of Multithreaded Programming by Afritelly: 4:36pm On May 26, 2011
Ok, basic concept of multithreading is just to allowing access to two or more threads.

Then,

[b]What Is a Thread?

All programmers are familiar with writing sequential programs. You've probably written a program that displays "Hello World!", or sorts a list of names, or computes a list of prime numbers. These are sequential programs: each has a beginning, an execution sequence, and an end. At any given time during the runtime of the program there is a single point of execution.

A thread is similar to the sequential programs described above: a single thread also has a beginning, an end, a sequence, and at any given time during the runtime of the thread there is a single point of execution. However, a thread itself is not a program. It cannot run on its own, but runs within a program.
Definition: A thread is a single sequential flow of control within a program.

There is nothing new in the concept of a single thread. The real hoopla surrounding threads is not about a single sequential thread, but rather about the use of multiple threads in a single program all running at the same time and performing different tasks.

The HotJava Web browser is an example of a multithreaded application. Within the HotJava browser you can scroll a page while it's downloading an applet or image, play animation and sound concurrently, print a page in the background while you download a new page, or watch three sorting algorithms race to the finish. You are used to life operating in a concurrent fashion, so why not your browser?

Some texts use the name lightweight process instead of thread. A thread is similar to a real process in that a thread and a running program are both a single sequential flow of control. However, a thread is considered lightweight because it runs within the context of a full-blown program and takes advantage of the resources allocated for that program and the program's environment.

As a sequential flow of control, a thread must carve out some of its own resources within a running program. (It must have its own execution stack and program counter for example.) The code running within the thread works only within that context. Thus, some other texts use execution context as a synonym for thread.

Software/Programmer Market / Re: Watching & Learning Programming Language -free- by Afritelly: 3:21pm On May 26, 2011
let me recover first,

1. Why create an app that just plays youtube videos,  Isn't it better for me to go to the site?
2. Sorry to say, there's nothing innovative about the software. If it wasn't free, there would have been no reason to buy it.
3. Good attempt, but you can also add some extra channels, and maybe work on the UI,

1. Not just playing YouTube videos. Moreover, going to Youtube and search things sometime may consume time and in the end of the day you may not see what you need.
2. It is p2p application, I have been using it over three years, now I decided to make it publicly. I use it to watch live football matches and listening to Naija radios.
3. Have a look at the first version GUI. --> What do you think?

@ Blog icon:
If you want to learn about mobile programming: Java/QT is the way forward. Desktop Programming: Delphi/QT/dotNet (dotNet I wouldn't recommend it because of complex application and NDA), Web Programming: php, CMS (Opensource).

Depend on what you want to do. All programming are good for their purposes.
