we good doc No yawa. The good thing is we all are expecting excellent performances from the defence. Lets hope Rojo comes back 100 %. Next thing for Jose to fix is the midfield. I also noted you mentioned 3-5-2, i agree that is something JM should consider for some specific situations |

dopeJemi: this is why I thought you didn't understand my post
I didn't say all our players shouldn't be in excellent form, i said, assuming all three are in excellent form, what happens to Rojo? the coach's ability to make all three happy will be crucial at this stage, hence the 3-5-2 I suggested which doesn't seem like a bad formation to try out considering the fact that we are still after belotti
that has been my point If all 3 are in excellent form we stick 1 of them on the bench. That is how it has always been. Whatever formation benefits the ENTIRE TEAM is what should be used, not switching formation to make the 3rd choice CB happy. Whether it is 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 3-4-3, or 3-5-2 what matters is that it works for the entire team not to keep 1 player happy. |

dopeJemi: I honestly don't think you understood my post
I would like to think that man management is essential to a club's success and I hope we won't have to sing "the one that got away" tune 2years from now We all understood it. If Rojo is in excellent form but Bailly and Lindelof are playing even better I don't know what the problem is. The competition would only make them better and keep up the form. There is no problem having an excellent defender on the bench especially in a big club like United. Unlike you I hope all our players are on excellent form next season so much so that team selection becomes a headache for Jose |

dopeJemi: the thing is, Rojo cannot be in form and be 3rd choice, that would be unfair to him, what happens when the three of them are in excellent form?
I am in support of chrisley's post, it's either we have Rojo at left back or we go with 3-5-2, Rojo's form cannot just be overlooked like that, he was one of our best performers last season and was a beast in that defence Is this Rojo united or Man Utd? If he wants guaranteed shirt he can go to Okomu oil fc. I don't even understand u. Are u praying that we have only 2 in form CBs at any one time so their feelings won't be hurt? If you want to win titles you better pray MOST if not ALL your main players are on form. Without 4 in form strikers the 99 treble would not have been possible. Rojo should fight for his shirt next season like every other player who does not have 2 heads. If he gets it ahead of Lindelof good, if not good still. That means we have quality coming on from the bench. What did Rojo do that Ole Gunnar and Teddy and a young Nick Butt not do 2 times over. Look at Madrid with in form players starting and on the bench. That is how it should be, not changing our entire formation because one decent Rojo is in form. IF WE WANT TO LEAVE THE MEDIOCRITY OF THE LAST FEW YEARS BEHIND WE NEED IN FORM STARTERS AND SUBSTITUTES. |

chrisley024: Maybe Baily - Lindelof and Rojo at LB. The good thing I saw from the above video is that he can pass and comfortable with the ball so his partnership with Bailly means we've 2 CB that can do this well. Yes. I was previously unsure about the links but i have watched a few more clips of him. He has pace, decent size, is comfortable with the ball and can pass out of defence with both feet. I saw similar attributes with Bailly before we signed him and if we have these 2 starting together it might be the beginning of a great partnership.I would offload Smalling who i have said several times is barely a footballer. Rojo as 3rd choice and Jones as 4th choice is not bad. I don't want Rojo at LB, that handicaps our attack which already has problems scoring goals. We need an attaking LB who will be a consistently creative outlet and give us much needed width when our inverted wingers drift inside. I am thinking of Danny Rose, Kurzawa or Raphael Guerreiro. The days of CBs deputizing as FBs are gone, let us banish the thought of muscle men like Bailly, Lindelof or Rojo giving us minutes at the FB positions. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 5:36am On Jun 11, 2017 |
I anticipate a 1st choice partnership of Bailly and Lindelof next season with Rojo pushing for Lindelof's LCB position and either Smalling or Jones as back up to Bailly with the odd man out leaving the club. Blind and Axel can still stay as 3rd choice LCB and RCB respectively. |

What is funny is the same people castigating Rooney for his top salary are now saying transfer fee does not matter.
If you are bought for top dollar or are paid top dollar the expectations are different from if u come in for peanuts or are paid same.
Pogba needs to improve his game and I believe he will but if he plays this level of football for the length of his contract it would have been a disappointment. |

Nihilist: The koko is sha that he is a UK citizen by birth and refused to recognise the army of his country of birth, despite the fact that the poppy as a symbol has nothing to do with the Troubles.
Jeremy Corbyn is another person that has refused to wear a poppy, and refused to sing the national anthem, and not only is he a UK citizen, he is English.
Yet those gestures are political rather than religious.
My point is simple, those Arabs and Asians are the ones that tie Religion and Politics so tightly together and try to export their brand of Religiotics. Some of those players might have seen no reason to be sympathetic to the dead from a country that bombs them everyday.
We cannot use the behaviour of those guys as the bench Mark for all Muslims. Like I always say to Dayo, those people from the middle East are fighting a political war..they just packaged it within religion l. Guy i was on campus during 9/11. The NIGERIAN non-Asian and non-Arab muslim students were happy that day, a few openly but many more were subtle but it was still obvious. At the onset of Boko Haram when they were mainly targeting churches and beer parlors killing innocent people many NIGERIAN non-Arab non-Asian muslims were defending them even on this same NL. The non-conformist, quasi antisocial and intolerant brand of Islam has extended to all corners of the earth not only Arabs and Asians and there are many "moderates" who though do not have the will to carry out these dastardly acts are quietly supportive of them. Trying to cast this issue as only a cultural and regional political issue is akin to digging a hole in the sand and hiding your head in it. This problem is such an endemic and deep seated problem that lines delineating the Middle East socio-political problem from Islamic extremism have been blurred probably for ever. |

Nihilist: James McClean is actually Nothern Irish. He was Born and brought up in Nothern Ireland - That's the part of Ireland that is British. He just plays for the Republic - the part of Ireland that isn't British.
Without going into too much complexity, the fact remains that James McClean refused to recognise a symbol of British National Pride due to perceived injustices
Saudi Players have the right to do just that whether we agree with it or not. I know his story well. He is Catholic Northern Irish but it doesn't make him British nominally after all it is still Great Britain AND Norhern Irish lol. Many Northern Irish still feel Irish and not British. It is not too complex bro. The soldiers that were being remembered were involved in military actions killing civilians probably. What did the civilian nurses, teachers etc being respected do to the Saudi players families. If McClean refused to recognize a symbol of British Pride what did those dead civilians symbolize that the Saudi players hatrd so much? |

Nihilist: The flynn bit is mostly irrelevant, as Flynn had already been sacked anyway. It's the discussions about 'lifting the cloud' of the general Russian Investigations that ring alarm bells.
Trump's comments regarding Sadiq Khan were just ignorant and pitiful. He actally misrepresented Khan's comments following the attacks and used those comments as the base for his own ediotic rants. Thresa May was forced to publiccaly defend and back Sadiq Khan...She's Tory and Khan is Labour, and Khan is one of the most vocal opponents of the Brexit that Theresa May is determined to deliver.
That just shows you how much of a car crash Trump is.
With regards to your pic, Participating in Moment of Silence is not an obligation, and is down to individual discretion. Let's not pretend that Religion and Politics are intertwined in those areas in a way that doesn't happen outside those regions. Who knows if one, two or three of those people had lost family members to British Bombs?
Afterall James Mclean of West Brom refused to respect the War Dead of the British on Memorial Day...and he's british. Not really the same. 1) McClean is Irish not British. 2) He refused because the War Dead being commemorated included British soldiers that killed Irish men, women and children like him during "The Troubles". The people being respected today were innocent civilians who had nothing to do with whatever tragedy befell these Saudi players' families. What they did was disgraceful. Even if only one of them misbehaved it might have been understandable but for the whole group to show such callous behaviour is just too bad. |

Another match up i'd like to see is this year's Golden state and the 1986 celtics. 86 Celtics had a bit more balanced offensive firepower compared to the Bulls but they are front court heavy and not defensively versatile or athletic enough. The Warriors would isolate and run The Chief and Kevin McHale ragged i think. |

Another match up i'd like to see is this year's Golden state and the 1986 celtics. I did not say they will hold him to ZERO nah. Same as KD is unusual for anybody to guard, you have to realize he too has never come against that amount of defensive talent before in his life. They will slow him down is what i said, make him work for his points and make him less efficient. I actually agree somewhat with A40. I just believe old rules Bulls win easily and Warriors get no shot but with the new rules Warriors win but the Bulls still have a slim shot. |

A40: This is probable. However the Bulls would have to up their 3pt shooting significantly. Pippen was a low 40's guy from the field and he could barely make buckets from mid-range. Its fun to argue theoretically but its tough to tell. That is why I feel the rules they play under would be key Yeah. Talentwise it is pitting possibly the best defensive team against the best offensive team. X-factor is MJ, with today's rules he would probably average 40 in a do or die series.........and not break a sweat. But you have a point about the Bull's improving their 3pt shooting. |

A40: I think the lack of 3pt shooting and Golden State ball movement go give Bulls some problems. If na last year Golden State the Bulls would win easily. This year the addition of Kevin Durant don scatter everything. He is Karl Malone 2.0 Yeah KD is an unbelievable asset. But Rodman and Pippen would slow him down a little, one takes him on the perimeter and the other in the post. The 3 points would be an issue though but they arent getting those high percentages against the ball hawks on the Bulls. It is a fun debate to have . |

If its those days when u fit handcheck and physicality was high I'd go with the Bulls Fair enough. For me though under the old rules DEFINITELY Bulls but under today's rules MAYBE Golden State. One team has MJ and 3 all time defenders who could each guard multiple positions. Interesting matchups though: MJ on Curry, Harper on Klay, Scottie on KD, The Worm on Draymond. |
