Kobojunkie:Why did he include his name in the first place? Removal of his name was an after thought |
noblezone:He did not serve under Abacha after he was made out to be a tyrant and his name synonymous with tyranny. He served when Abacha was God. Saint Buhari will not want to be associated with the tyrant now but it is too late because our memories are not that bad. |
Kobojunkie:First off no one wants you to change your mind because I am not even sure you are in a place where you can vote so it makes nonsense. That you prefer to refer to a valid point raised from you post as a word game is what baffles me. No one is a wizard that will x-ray your mind to understand what you wanted to say if you assume that what you wrote is not what you wanted to write. ' When they realize' means that the subject did not realize beforehand. . . that contradicts your later explanation Kobo. Was that not what you meant? You can humbly accept that you did not think over your post and edit it or accept that you were indirectly giving them grounds to gloat. |
Kobojunkie:That's funny if you claim you do not understand my argument above which you shied away from countering. There is nothing like word play is my argument, I was responding to you based on what you posted and I know you understood my point. You can edit your post if what you posted was not what you meant. I however do apologize if showing you another argument that supports my earlier submission is offensive to you. Or are annoyed that you were pushed to a corner? |
'On the instruction of Abacha' because he is a politician and he wants to ride on Buhari's popularity in Kano and win. Ibime said that Buhari tried to manipulate the election. Obviosly he was not comfortable with him being associated with the Abacha. This a sample of what Buhari will be up to if he wins. If he does not want you, he finds a way to eliminate you to maintain his 'puritan' stance. Striking his name out is just a damage control. Why did he include his name in the first place if he was not involved? Buhari was privy to whatever happened. You cannot argue that he did not know about a major event in his most populated stronghold. It is good to talk about individual when you are talking about CPC even though Buhari is the founder and the live blood of the party. Remove Buhari and there will be no CPC. Yet when it comes to PDP candidate, you prefer to tar everyone with the same brush. what is good for the goose is good for gander. It is only a party that stands the test of time that will claim sainthood for now, all parties are wanna be Saviour. They have not even won an election and they are manipulating who will and who will not be a governor. No one can explain this out. |
debosky:Tell kobojunkie |
Ibime:I read this post 5 times but i still want to confirm something. Do you mean there is nothing wrong in Buhari trying to manipulate the people's mandate? |
Religion mixed with more religion. It is not good to mix religion with politics. He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” Luke 20:25
I do not agree with you. There is nothing new in people of different faiths coming together to govern. He was trying to appeal to Bakare's voting block (Christians) knowing that he 'has the ears' of the other voting block (Moslems). McCain did it in selecting Palin but it backfired anyway. |
I rather have GEJ run this nation than a man who believes in Sharia. Religion should never mix with politics and that BB ticket is an abomination.
Why is it an abomination? |
Kobojunkie:Let me start from the last question. The difference between what you said and what I inferred is the phrase ' when they realize'. By this you are practically telling us that they did not realize at the beginning that people will not approve of what they were doing and when they realised it was not popular, they apologised or withdrew. Kobojunkie:The context of this comment is totally different from the context of your earlier comment. Reason is that in the above comment, the action is premeditated knowing that the people will revolt against it going by your submission. So your explanation does not nullify my earlier submission that you were indirectly or better put inadvertently giving them credit except you want to remove the phrase 'when they realize' |
You don't need to work out when you find yourself in a wrong place that you are cordially invited to for the sake of courtesy. Btw,I won't work out from the church if i find myself in that kind of situation.
You are there is that you are there. The press would have seen you already. Obasanjo is one man who would not want to be seen as weak. Working away is trying too hard to impress (not bad if you want to). However remember that a human being is involved. |
Kobojunkie:As ridiculous as it may be, that underlines the fact that they are human. Secondly it also shows that they listen to people's opinions which is a very good ingredient of democracy. Obasanjo is one person who does what he wants and never cares whose ox is gored. So for him to even do what you have suggested means he is 'changing'. If had you said that they knowingly do what they want with a prepared flimsy excuse to give afterwards in their minds then it would have been a different thing. Your statement in this instance is giving them credit indirectly. |
orbaxy:And the man with 86 wives dey go where? |
I think the INEC should step into this. I was thinking they should disqualify any party involved in poster vandalism but then I realised that some people could vandalize their own posters in order to disqualify their opponents. This is really sad both ways. Animal politics! |
Jarus:You are being very reasonable here. The catch is that a man of his standing is doing such a thing. It is just like a Rev. father in his cassock defacing Buhari's campaign posters. What he did has religious colouration. Two much religion in our politics which is a very negative point for anyone candidate whose appeal is due to his religious leaning. Having said that, I think taking him to Abuja is like killing a mosquito with a machine gun. A caution by the police would have sufficed. I expect Buhari to caution the Imams and I expect GEJ to release the guy ASAP |
Is this different from the one that missed its target and killed 3 people? The same Suleja . . . |
