Lagosboy: Sister Time2think
You really have to think deeply as you have to analyse your post and observe that most of what you posted are the same reasons we all want Buhari back. It is really commendable that in all you posted, there is not a single accusation of looting, embezzeling , illegal acquisition of wealth in there which is something that can not be said of any presidential aspirant today(maybe Ribadu is an exception). Among what you said there is nothing that could be said to be breaking of the law in the which is nothing that could be said of any presidential aspirant today (Even Ribadu subverted the law when Alamco was impeached and GEJ was made governor).
Buhari 4 change!!!! Bakare represents change !!! Two honest men, two men of integrity and two men that could lead us to where we truly deserve to be as a nation.
SAI Buhari!!!

We now know why you spent so much to produce so little because you know that EFCC is compromised. How much did you pay to buy your way out. Kettle calling pot black. You are the greatest disappointment in the whole saga for me because I had hoped that at your age you would do something different but now see where you are. |

9ijaMan: Either! GEJ held a regional rally in Kaduna and was left standing alone on the podium when it got to his turn to talk. The stands were completely empty. In Port-Harcourt, in order to avoid the Kaduna catastrophe, the rented crowd were locked inside the campaign arena. This led to the stampede and loss of 14 lives when people got tired and wanted to leave before it got to GEJ's turn to make his speech. The stands were virtually empty in Lagos. Gej's North Central rally was also not anywhere comaparable to Buhari's rally in the same state, Niger.
So much for a popular President! How can you have a stampede that can kill as much as 14 people in the absence of a mammoth crowd? |

9ijaMan: Sorry my dear, your benefactor could not even manage to fill TBS, despite all the noise about being popular. Lagos is supposed to be the 2nd most populated state n the country. Lagos according to INEC has the largest number of registered voters. If GEJ was unable to fill only the grounds of TBS let alone the empty stands, where then is the so called popularity.
Nigerians have all seen through the lie called Jonathief!
By the way, I'm sure by the time we make a head count, those rented crowd will barely make 3000 lol you are very funny and you know it. Anyway if that makes you feel good then go ahead |

about the eggs stuff, it can be unhealthy but not as much as 2 pkts of indomie and a 50cl bottle of soft drinks in one day.
1 large sized hardboiled egg = 90 x 6 = 540 (agaba u see what i mean). so apart from the fried yams included in buhari's meal that day, everything could as well be under 1000cals.
One large egg contains 212 mg of cholesterol and the recommended daily amount of cholesterol is 300 mg. Six eggs = 1272 mg which is over 4x more than daily recommended amount.

One question for you all.
Assuming GEJ in his quest to refine PDP decided to deny through winners of primaries the party tickets because he thinks those people are not presentable, what will you say?
Many PDP legislators lost their primaries in many states all over. These are people who are supposed to be close to GEJ and would help him get elected in April. Most of them were crying foul that they were not protected but he said, let the wishes of the people be done.
If you think someone has violated the rules, you should have disqualified him with evidence. How many of the people they chose did not use monetary or material inducement? The so called anointed would have used their the financial muscles if they had any. Hypocrisy comes to mind.
This is just like IBB saying he annulled June 12 election in order to save Nigeria. |

Jarus: First, how are we sure he was the one that actually won? Because anybody can cry foul if he loses. After all, even Femi Pedro that gathered less than 50,000 votes in Lagos in 2007 claimed he won but was rigged out by CAN where Fashola had almost a million votes?
Second, there is a limit to which Buhari can do. Yes he formed the party and he is the leader, he still has to watch his interference so as not to turn the party into a one-man party.
3, We only heard from an aggrieved party. We have not heard from the other party. I can easily go out and grant interview and hurl insults against somebody.
4, Which job is the man doing? What's his source of income to be ready to pay 100m as independent million if not one of those rogues that want to ride on Buhari's good name to power to loot 5, We cannot rule out PDP agents and fifth columnists planted in CPC to destroy the party from within.
Odunnu, when does someone become a 'fanatic' for 'selecting'? Haba Jarus, You just read that he still has the result signed by Buhari as authentic. By the way, the same thing happened in Kano and Abacha went to court to overturn it. They had the same problem not only in one state but in all the states that they have good followership and National assembly primaries were not spared of the irregularities. Haba na like that? ahidjo: Those people that won bought people with money during the primaries. That's why they were dropped. Buhari did not want to have anything to do with fraud. Obama also bought people with his excess campaign fund. It is obvious that you do not run for an elective post without fund so those who have the funds tend to have the upper hand if they are electable at all. The same excuse they gave about Abacha. It all smacks of intolerance and I know it all attittude of Buhari. Please guys see through the veil. |
So roughly speaking, Abacha got denied in the PDP, moved over to the CPC, bribed/bought the primary using his probably hard-to-match finances, CPC tried to deny him, he took them to court and has their decision overturned?
So how is the CPC the villain here, lol?
Na wa o. Some people will hate for any reason
What do you mean by 'bribed/bought' ? Who did he buy? Did he force anyone to vote for him?
Why did they try to deny him when he did not rig election?
Why did not they not disqualify him if he was going against the rules initially? Were they blind to the said offence(s) assuming he was breaking any rules? |
Politics › Re: Abacha's Son Is Cpc's Kano Governorship Candidate. by agabaI23(m): 8:43am On Mar 06, 2011 |
Look at this write up . . . . .Trustees of various political parties. Yet, people tend to forget so soon. Recently, when General Lawal Jafaru Isa was announced winner of the CPC ticket for Kano governorship race, some people greeted the news with unbelievable astonishment and argued that his opponent, Muhammad Abacha supposed to be the winner for scoring highest number of votes counted in 21 Local Government areas, out of the total 44 Local Government councils of Kano State. Perhaps this was only what people were keen about, in the whole affair in the electoral process, which was full of dirty and illegal maneuvers such as money dangling, rigging, use of thugs to cause violence and duress and hiring of people to vote for a particular aspirant. All these are offences that were taken into consideration by panel of elders of the CPC, who received a large number of petitions and complaints against the mentioned malpractices. What fascinates some right thinking and patriotic people most in the present Democratic pursuit is the good intention shown by Nigerian authorities to inject sanity and minimize rigging and fraud in our electoral system – The review of electoral act, appointment of a reputable personality at the apex of the Electoral Commission are tangible signs that it is hardly possible for one to use money or coercion and simply win over, this time around. One clear fact is that Muhammad Abacha appeared to be over-ambitious to become governor by hook or crook. Unfortunately, his lieutenants and advisers seem to be misleading him for reasons best known to them. This was a man who was forced out of the PDP by the Kwankwasiyya adherents, who, after observing his hell-bent intent and diehard ambition, they wouldn’t allow Abacha to unseat Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, their hero and preferred flag bearer of the party. At least, if he couldn’t be grateful for his warm acceptance into the CPC, where he later cross-carpeted and was allowed (with his entire campaign structure), to run for governorship along with his seniors such as General Lawal Jafaru Isa, Engineer Magaji Abdullahi and the rest, Abacha ought not be misadvised to consequently sue General Muhammadu Buhari, a credible and impeccable statesman, who is also a father to him, as a result of his losing the election. Personally, I view this as a political suicide and a great damage on Abacha’s political career - One does not bite his own finger, nor stab his tummy with a knife and proclaims himself as a hero. Being himself a novice in politics coupled with so many chances that lay ahead of him in the future, I wouldn’t advise Abacha to hasten to succumb to his sentiments and later regret it. When someone is in politics, uncountable chances and opportunities await him – if he fails to make it now, he could scale through some other times or he could even bag a position of appointment from the federal government. A very good example is demonstrated by Dr. Auwalu Anwar, another unbeatable opponent in the race, who, long before Abacha arrived in the arena, had already carved his niche. But Anwar had whole heartedly accepted the result, knowing quite well that more chances abound in the future. After all, he didn’t take it as a matter of life and death. This write up though, is not intended to discourage Abacha from seeking redress where he is genuinely hurt or offended. However, himself too should turn around and consider his personal failures and misdeeds as par the rules of the game. He should look inwardly; think deeply and objectively, before embarking on such course of action. On their part, people should not always rush to pass imaginable judgment by merely assuming or even declaring a winner of an election, much earlier than the right authorities have done so. When Professor M.D. Sulaiman, chairman of the electoral panel of CPC made the first disclosure of votes won in 21 Local Governments out of the total number of 44 Local Government areas of Kano State, the issue didn’t end there. The disputed matter had to subsequently be transferred to the party headquarters inAbuja, for further adjucation. Hence, it is not right for any layman on the street to jump to conclusion and say this is the winner and that is the looser, more so in an election that was fraught with confusion, underhandedness and uncertainties. In fact all such irregularities, confusions and chaos were seen to have surrounded the CPC in Kano and some other states, during the time preceding the primary elections as well as during the elections. Apart from the governorship primaries, the elections for the positions of Senators, Members of the Federal and States Legislature happened to be the worst hit by crisis. One fact about the CPC leadership is that it is determined to sieve out credible and qualitative candidates to contest for positions in the April 2011 polls. Their emphasis appeared to be on qualified candidates as well as quality of the process of electing those candidates, before they could be accredited as flag bearers of the party, which many Nigerians hold in high esteem and look up to it as trustworthy. It is pertinent here to call on Abacha to drop his litigations and sit down for reconciliation and purge ahead with his political toil, as more chances and greater opportunities abound in his future sojourn and the future is never too far away. If Abacha would adjust his political attitude and his home structure for the better to remove aggressiveness, he stands a better chance to woe positions and reputation for himself in the future, more so with his background as a son of an ex-military head of state.
ISA MUHAMMAD INUWA, writes from Sharada Quarters, P.O. Box 4534, Kano E-mail: ismi2000ng@yahoo.com http://www.elombah.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5194:how-jafaru-isa-won-cpcs-kano-governorship-ticket&catid=25:politics&Itemid=92Results should be announced at each pulling station and according to Buhari any fiddling should attract lynching. Why did they have to take the result to Abuja-more like what PDP will do. And how could they take such a case to Abuja without Buhari being aware of it? The writer here clearly asked Abacha to drop the case against Buhari because it will be a political suicide if he goes on with it. This was part of my earlier submission and I am sure that this advice from many others was what he listened to and struck Buhari's name out not because Buhari was not culpable. All saint CPC primaries from senate to local government were fraught with crisis and the reason was that they wanted to select 'people of intergrity' instead of obeying the electorates mandate. In other words, the primaries were rigged or manipulated to favour annointed candidates and those who had no money for litigation kept quiet. This is the reason why I said that Buhari does not know what democracy is. He will always want it to go his way and he does not even know how to get that done because he was a ruler not a leader. A leader will get what he wants by subtle persuasion. Even if he means well by trying to weave out those who by his opinion are tainted, he did not go about it the right way. Why in the first place did they accept Abacha into their fold if they won't let him be the candidate? They are probably after his stash of looted funds. |
