Last month Lasgidi Online brought you pre-wedding photos of Ebonyi state corp members that met at the Orientation camp and were set to wed, today we got you the exclusive photos from their church wedding.

The wedding took place at WDC (Women Development Centre), Ezza Road, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State on Saturday 10th September 2016.

It was a fun moment to last for a life time as other corp members were seen dressed in there uniforms beating the drums and matching as the convoy of the couple arrives.

At the wedding was the State NYSC coordinator, other officials, NYSC members and other well wishers.

We wish them a blissful and successful marriage.

Malaysian Research University, the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has awarded Umar Ahmad, a Nigerian held from Bauchi LGA of Bauchi State Certificate of Merit for being the best student to graduate with Outstanding Distinction with a CGPA of 4.00 in his Master of Science by Research in area of Medical Anatomy.

In addition, Ahmad has published 5 papers from his Master Thesis in a peer review, high impact scientific journals. He participated in about 30 different professional certification workshops and attended many international seminars, conferences, and scientific gathering during his master studies.

His major research activities in basic and translational research focus on developing targeted therapies for human cancer and he is currently interested in the targeting and identification of genes involved in breast cancer metastasis, neuroblastoma prognosis, anti-angiogenic factors relates to NDV virus and apoptotic pathways in cancer such as how the virus stimulates DNA fragmentation, which will of course be relevant in drug development and initiate virotherapy application for cancer patients. In recognition of his accomplishment, he was offered to service Malaysian Journal of Microscopy (MJM) as their Sub-editor.

Ahmad was among the best student in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, where he had his undergraduate degree at Medical Faculty of the University and graduated in 2010.
We therefore, on behalf of the entire Nigerian Students studying in Malaysia extend our congratulatory message to Umar Ahmad for his recordable achievement in academic. Nigerians are highly making us proud by showcasing their talents to the world.

I heard my neighbor's daughter reciting states and capital and when she got to Gombe, I began wondering why it has the same name as it's capital. Even Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto... [b]. . . . . . .first off, I am not a PDP goon, imp or minion . . . . . . . . . . .but the recent appointment of a new NSA by Buhari has really got me thinking; was Monguno the best in the pack? what were the reasons for his appointment? has Buhari been wrongly advised? . . . . . . . . .I might never know the yardsticks used for his appointment, but what I do know is that Monguno has a lot of baggage!!!

How many remember the self acclaimed Boko haram co-founder Ali Tishau? how many remember the controversies surrounding his release from DIA custody on the orders of the then CDI, Gen Babagana Monguno? well to recap;

Ali Tishau a boko haram suspect (and self acclaimed co-founder of the group) was arrested by the police in December 2010, he was interrogated and arraigned before an Abuja magistrate court but was granted bail . . . . . . . . . . . .the police knowing the big fish they had, re-arraigned him before the FCT high court where he was again granted bail!!! . . . . . . . . . . . .for security reasons, police re-arrested him for further prosecution.

On the 27th of june 2011, the then CDI (Gen Babagana Monguno) requested that the police hand over the suspect to the defence intelligence agency, the then IGP obliged Moguno with the understanding that the suspect will be returned to the police after DIA interrogation, this was never to be . . . . . . . . . . . . .Tishau miraculously vanished from detention . . . . . . . . . . accusing fingers were pointed at Monguno!!!

. . . . . . .after inconclusive investigations by the presidency, Moguno was transferred from the DIA . . . . . . . . . . . . .now I don't know the outcome of those investigations, but I do know that with this kind of controversy, Monguno should have been the last man considered for the post of NSA . . . . . . . . .but then again, I am not privy to the information at the disposal of our good President.
