How many times in total have you serviced it with the mobil 1 5w20 since you got the vehicle? During the other times you changed the oil before you serviced it again did you notice this exact same type of oil consumption?

Have you checked your pcv valve? (It’s a switch with a black rubber pipe in plugged front of the engine behind your power steering pump)

2008 Honda Accord 4 plugs

Bought tokumbo October last year and I've been servicing it with Mobil 1 5w-20

Mileage is 144000. The mileage it was at when I bought it was 132000.

The engine doesn't smoke so I don't know for sure if it burns oil and I've bent down,looked under the engine and there was no leak whatsoever.

I know paying 30k for the Mobil 1 hurts. But it's actually the better option. 20W50 is too heavy for the K24. You don't want to start dealing with failed VTC actuators.

If you don't suffer from Oil burns and blue smoke, please stick with original Mobil 1 5w20. You gonna enjoy that engine for a long time.

Please keep on using the Mobil 1 5w30 oil. Budget to change it twice a year because the full synthetic of that oil grade can go 10,000 miles before next service which is about 16,000Km. To be safe, you can change the oil at 7,000 miles or 11,000km. If you cover that distance in one year, then it should be once a year servicing. Else if you drive frequently and always enter stop and start traffic,you can do twice a year. It is better for you in the long run. Engine price is crazy expensive now.

If your fuel cap is in good condition, then it is likely your evap canister vent valve is not sealing properly.
Google and YouTube should help you with this.

Just remove the valve (it's plastic) , clean it with a dry cloth, check the seals, and reinstall. You may need to blow some air through the valve in both directions to push out any dust or cobweb.
NOTE -- Do not spray any liquid in there. You don't need such.

(This was the fix for mine about 2 or 3 years ago. It has never reocurred since then).

do you run your car fuel to reserve most of the time before you refuel?

You may have a bad fuel pump or the cap of the fuel tank is bad
