Hello my fellow NL. Pls i have few questns to ask concerning the Nigerian Navy. I need someone who know more about the Service to enlighten me on these few questns. I want to apply for the ongoing Nigerian Navy recruitment exercise 2014.

1. If someone get enlisted into the Nigerian Navy with SSCE how many years can d person be in service before applying to further his education. As i heard one must spend atleast 10yrs in service before applying to further his/her education

2. Do Nigerian allowed an SSCE holder to who joined the Navy as Ordinary Seaman to pursue a Degree program as i heard that officers with SSCE can only be allowed to advanced in academics to OND level.

3. Is it true that as a SSCE officer in Nigerian Navy the senior officer u work under determined whether u further ur education or not, as i heard, if the senior officer is a bad person he may not allowed u to further ur education

4. Is there a possibility that someone enlisted as SSCE officer can rise to the rank of a Rear Admiral i.e. Major.general in army.

5. If luck smiles on someone and maybe after enlisting as ordinary seaman in Nigerian Navy. If he's opportuned to further his education and get a Bsc.
