This matter is simple. You have #400,000 unaccounted for.

Collect all the materials purchased and resell.

Negotiate with the traders and collect whatever can be retrieved as down payment for their workmanship.

Decotech has spent money on logistics and shouldn't return anything.

I'm sure you will get more than the #200,000 you're expecting at the end of the day.

Have you verified whether he actually made some down payments and incurred logistics expenses for the job? That's where the remaining #400,000 is stuck.

This is totally different from what Decotech posted. You sent #700,000 of which he sent #100,000 back to you leaving a balance of #600,000. Out of the balance,he claims he spent #367,000 and he has evidence to back it up. He has refunded #200,000 and the only issue for now is the money that has been deposited for workmanship/materials.

Explain how the free #200,000 came about.

Keep 200k for what? You be charity organization? It's better we wait for him to give his own side of the story.

When did you send the money to him? How much was sent to him?
When did you request for a refund?
Did he state that part of the money had already been used?

Did he initiate the job in the first place? I see no reason why he shouldn't be able to refund 100% of the money if he hasn't used any part of it to buy materials or for logistics expenses.

The interviewer will usually call back. Remember he has a form to fill and he/she will state reason/s why you couldn't attend the interview. They will also follow-up with an email.

I'm talking about a well structured company.

For unstructured companies and government parastatals,return the call. If no response,send a text message and explain why you were unable to pick the call.
