In contrast, Nigerian stocks have rallied this year on macroeconomic reforms, higher oil prices and better foreign-exchange supply, with the naira gaining 4% since January. News this week that S&P Dow Jones Indices is considering upgrading the country to frontier-market status may add to its investor appeal.

Unlike the Kospi, companies listed on Nigeria’s stock exchange aren’t directly exposed to AI. Investors piling into equities in the West African nation are attracted by other factors, according to Damilola Okeleye, a Lagos-based trader at Stonex Nigeria Financial Ltd.

Nigeria’s economic reforms and the potential listing of the continent’s largest crude-processor, Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Fze, have been “a strong driving force to the gains seen year to date,” Okeleye said.

The Federal Government will today unveil a new hybrid digital broadcasting platform that will give Nigerians access to 100 free television channels, as part of renewed efforts to complete the country’s long-delayed Digital Switch Over (DSO) programme.

The announcement followed a high-level stakeholders’ meeting convened by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) in Abuja, bringing together regulators, broadcasters, signal distributors, satellite operators, set-top box manufacturers and content producers.

At the end of the meeting, stakeholders unanimously adopted a hybrid broadcasting model combining Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT), Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite services and digital application-based platforms. They also agreed that DTT remains a critical part of the system and should not be discontinued.

In addition, reforming the police means a decentralization of the force, to ensure community policing of lives and assets across the nation. Decentralising the police force allows for the issues of poor funding and inadequate equipment to be tackled by relatively smaller entities such as States or Cities who have a vested interest in ensuring that the force polices them, require all that they need to function.

Here is a personal advice.
If you urgently need the item and it's only AliExpress that have it.
Get any relative or trusted contact you have in any neighboring country(Ghana, Togo, or Benin). Use their address and order,(delivery is usually 2-3 weeks)Once the item arrives ship it down to Nigeria via GIG.

Will cost extra, but you're guaranteed to get your item

UPDATED: ‘Missing’ ₦210 trillion: Senate nullifies arrest threat against ex-MD Kyari

The Senate on Thursday disagreed with its Committee on Public Accounts’ decision to issue a warrant of arrest against a former Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), Mele Kyari, for his failure to appear before the committee.

The upper chamber held that the power to authorise such a measure rests solely with the presiding officer of the Senate, in line with its rules and constitutional provisions.

Consequently, the Senate withdrew the threat of arrest against Mr Kyari. It directed that no committee should issue such a directive in the future without the Senate President’s approval.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced the resolution after a majority of senators adopted it through a voice vote during plenary.

What do you mean by current 5G NSA?
Deployed at where?

5G standalone (5G SA) and 5G non-standalone (5G NSA) are 2 types of network infrastructure.

For operators with an existing 4G LTE network, it is easier to start with 5G non-standalone (5G NSA). For this purpose, these operators use new 5G radio equipment, which they however lay over the existing 4G LTE infrastructure. This allows operators to offer 5G services faster and more cheaply, but a 5G NSA network is subject to the limitations of 4G LTE. Users enjoy a higher data rate, although 5G NSA does not allow access to certain 5G benefits that require the dedicated 5G core that is provided in 5G standalone (5G SA).

In the case of 5G SA, the operator rolls out a completely new 5G network that is entirely separate from its existing 4G infrastructure. 5G SA is a true 5G network, with 5G radios and a 5G core, that fully realizes the promised benefits of 5G.

For ordinary consumer applications, 5G SA is less necessary. Therefore, the typical user will often not notice whether the network is a 5G SA or a 5G NSA.
