Foreign AffairsTrump Poses With Teslas In Front Of The WH, The Company’s Slumping Stock Climbs by AImiron(op): 11:05pm On Mar 11, 2025
New York, CNN— It was an extraordinary scene at the White House South Lawn Tuesday. President Donald Trump effectively held a combination press conference and live Tesla ad outside the White House, accompanied by the company’s CEO and Department of Government Efficiency Head Elon Musk – all in front of a line of shiny Tesla vehicles.

The scene was all the more remarkable because Tesla shares have been in a sharp slump recently, erasing all their gains since Election Day as Musk’s increasing political profile and moves to slash the federal government have drawn a major backlash and Europe sales decline.

Tesla stock climbed on Tuesday, with Trump saying that he would label any violence against Tesla dealerships as domestic terrorism. As he spoke, Trump was holding what resembled a Tesla showroom pitch with a list of vehicle prices, according to Getty Images. “Teslas can be purchased as low as $299/month or $35k,” the note said.

Tesla shares closed up 3.8% Tuesday, regaining some ground from Monday’s losses.

At the White House Tuesday, Trump said he would buy a Tesla and that he had bought a Cybertruck for his granddaughter.

I think (Musk has) been treated very unfairly by a very small group of people, and I just want people to know that he can’t be penalized for being a patriot,” Trump said, as protests both violent and nonviolent have risen across the country against Tesla and Musk.

Trump had posted on Truth Social overnight he was “going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American,” calling boycotts against the company illegal.

But some analysts still remain optimistic on Tesla. Wedbush said in a note Tuesday it was still bullish on Tesla’s innovation and technology outlook and expected only 5% of Tesla owners to second guess buying a Tesla again due to Musk. And other analysts saw the dip in Tesla shares as a buying opportunity.

Trump had said he would buy the Tesla full price.

I don’t want a discount,” Trump said. “(Musk) would give me discount, but if I do a discount, they’re gonna say, ‘Oh, I got benefits.’

Foreign AffairsRe: U.S. To Restart Intelligence Sharing And Security Assistance To Ukraine by AImiron(op): 8:29pm On Mar 11, 2025
Where are those slow fellas that called Trump a Russian asset.

Foreign AffairsU.S. To Restart Intelligence Sharing And Security Assistance To Ukraine by AImiron(op): 8:29pm On Mar 11, 2025
The United States will immediately lift a pause on intelligence sharing and resume providing security assistance to Ukraine after delegates from Kyiv agreed to accept the Trump administration's proposal for a 30-day interim ceasefire with Russia.

"Ukraine expressed readiness to accept the U.S. proposal to enact an immediate, interim 30-day ceasefire, which can be extended by mutual agreement of the parties," according to a joint statement issued Tuesday after meetings in Saudi Arabia.

The United States will communicate to Russia that Russian reciprocity is the key to achieving peace," the statement added.

The Kremlin did not immediately comment.

The future of U.S. support for Kyiv has been in grave doubt since an extraordinary on-camera spat between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office on Feb. 28. In the wake of that confrontation, Trump's administration paused intelligence sharing with Kyiv.Meanwhile, the Trump administration has made a series of policy moves heralding a more cooperative stance toward Russia, traditionally considered a key geopolitical foe of the West. Trump, for his part, falsely accused Ukraine of starting the war and called Zelenskyy — not Vladimir Putin — a dictator.

In Tuesday's joint statement, the U.S. and Ukrainian delegations said Trump and Zelenskyy had "agreed to conclude as soon as possible" a deal to develop Ukraine's critical mineral resources, a pact designed to "expand" Ukraine's economy and "guarantee Ukraine's long-term prosperity and security."

The minerals deal was halted after the Trump-Zelenskyy clash.

"The delegations also discussed the importance of humanitarian relief efforts as part of the peace process, particularly during the above-mentioned ceasefire, including the exchange of prisoners of war, the release of civilian detainees, and the return of forcibly transferred Ukrainian children," the joint statement said.

The announcement came hours after Russia said it had shot down more than 330 Ukrainian drones. Two people were killed and 18 were injured in the offensive, which Russian authorities said was the largest attack on Moscow and the surrounding area since Putin launched his full-scale invasion in 2022.

Kyiv said its targets included oil production and pipeline control facilities.

Foreign AffairsUkraine Willing To Accept 30-day Ceasefire With Russia by AImiron(op): 7:47pm On Mar 11, 2025
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia — The U.S. and Ukraine said Kyiv would accept a 30-day ceasefire with Russia after talks in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, with Washington pledging to immediately lift a freeze on intelligence sharing and military aid to Ukraine.

"Ukraine expressed readiness to accept the U.S. proposal to enact an immediate, interim 30-day ceasefire, which can be extended by mutual agreement of the parties, and which is subject to acceptance and concurrent implementation by the Russian Federation," the U.S. and Ukraine said in a joint statement released by the State Department. "The United States will communicate to Russia that Russian reciprocity is the key to achieving peace."

The agreement came after more than eight hours of negotiations between Ukrainian officials and a U.S. delegation led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio in the Saudi city of Jeddah.

The statement said the U.S. "will immediately lift the pause on intelligence sharing and resume security assistance to Ukraine." Both were frozen in the wake of an explosive meeting between Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President Trump at the White House on Feb. 28.

The now-unfrozen military aid comes from roughly $3.8 billion in equipment that has already approved, including air defense systems, HIMARS rocket launchers, artillery and support for Ukrainian fighter jets. Ukraine has been buoyed by the U.S. and other Western allies in its fight against Russia since Moscow launched a full-scale invasion in 2022, and the move to cut off aid left Kyiv at a disadvantage and European allies scrambling.

Whether Russia will support a ceasefire remains to be seen. Steve Witkoff, Mr. Trump's Middle East envoy, will be traveling to the country in the coming days, according to a person familiar with the planning. Witkoff met with Russian President Vladimir Putin for more than three hours in February.

Foreign AffairsZelensky Apologized To Trump In A Letter Over Oval Office Blowup by AImiron(op): 8:51pm On Mar 10, 2025
Days after their fiery Oval Office blowup, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky apologized to President Trump, US special envoy Steve Witkoff claimed Monday.

Zelensky sent a letter to the president. He apologized for that whole incident that happened in the Oval Office,” Witkoff, 67, told Fox News on Monday.

“I think that it was an important step, and there’s been a lot of discussion between our teams and the Ukrainians and the Europeans who are relevant to this discussion as well.

Trump, 78, publicly revealed that he received a letter from Zelensky, 47, last Tuesday during his annual presidential address to Congress last week. But Trump made no mention of receiving an apology.

The Post reached out to a Zelensky spokesperson for comment. A top aide, Mykhailo Podolyak, previously told French outlet Le Point that his boss wouldn’t apologize.

Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than the Ukrainians,” Trump read from Zelensky’s letter last week during his speech to Congress.

“We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence.”

US and Ukrainian officials are gearing up for a meeting in Saudi Arabia starting Tuesday to further iron out a plan to end the bloody war sparked by Russia’s unprovoked invasion

The talks in Saudi Arabia are intended to get peace efforts back on track after tensions flared between Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Zelensky in the Oval Office on Feb. 28.

At the time, Zelensky had openly questioned Vance’s push for diplomacy with the Kremlin, citing Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s track record.

Following the verbal spat, Zelensky was booted from the White House, and the mineral agreement the two sides had been set to finalize was left unsigned.

Intelligence sharing and military aid to Ukraine had been put on pause during the aftermath of that acrimonious meeting, something CIA Director John Ratcliffe later confirmed. Witkoff claimed that from his “understanding,” intelligence sharing for strictly defense matters with Ukraine wasn’t completely “shut off.”

Foreign AffairsMusk: Starlink Is Ukraine's Backbone; The Front Line Would Collapse Without It. by AImiron(op): 4:50pm On Mar 09, 2025
Billionaire Elon Musk said Sunday that Ukraine's frontline would collapse if he turned off his Starlink satellite internet constellation in the country amid its war with Russia, stressing his frustration with "years of slaughter in a stalemate that Ukraine will inevitably lose."

Musk, also a senior advisor to President Donald Trump, first reacted to a post on X by Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, who said "Not another penny to Ukraine" in response to a post from another user questioning if U.S. taxpayers paid for a huge Ukrainian flag that was unfurled in front of the White House.

"Place sanctions on the top 10 Ukrainian oligarchs, especially the ones with mansions in Monaco, and this will stop immediately. That is the key to the puzzle," Musk responded to Lee.

Another user said they agreed with Musk's position that anyone engaging in corruption should be sanctioned, but told the SpaceX and Tesla founder that he should "stop pretending" Russian President Vladimir Putin is not the aggressor. The user said Musk only seems focused on criticizing Ukraine but not Putin.

Musk replied by saying he had challenged Putin to a physical fight and that Starlink "is the backbone of the Ukrainian army," as the war between Ukraine and Russia sparked by Mosow's invasion in February 2022 continues.

"I literally challenged Putin to one on one physical combat over Ukraine and my Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army. Their entire front line would collapse if I turned it off," Musk said.

"What I am sickened by is years of slaughter in a stalemate that Ukraine will inevitably lose," he continued. "Anyone who really cares, really thinks and really understands wants the meat grinder to stop. PEACE NOW!!

Musk had challenged Putin to "single combat" in March 2022 in a post on the social media platform.

This is what happens when you select a m0ron as a diplomat. They’re too dvmb to understand the meaning of their office. Your only portfolio and worry should be about your country's interest on the global stage.

Keep your f*cking emotions inside of you. But weak men everywhere everyone is forming woke. If you're not supporting Ukraine, you're evil? They forget that things play differently in diplomacy.

Diplomacy will make you work with your worst enemies or even do things against your personal beliefs, but your personal beliefs or emotions are irrelevant in diplomacy.

Y’all uniformed folks on this forum really think Donald Trump is happy negotiating with Russia? Well, he has to find a way, or else the war won’t stop, and it will lead to World War 3 eventually. How many millions still died from covid19?

Trump understands that World War 3 won’t be fought with conventional weapons, it will go nuclear, and that’s the end of mankind. But too many moronic and weak leaders everywhere in the West, they are so dumb and always believe their own lies.

Who in their right mind thinks Ukraine can defeat Russia? Now that this one is jobless, his brain will reset.

Foreign AffairsTop New Zealand Diplomat Fired For What He Said About Trump by AImiron(op): 6:20pm On Mar 06, 2025
New Zealand’s most senior diplomat to the U.K. was fired after seeming to question President Donald Trump’s understanding of history and his handling of Russia. The incident took place during an event hosted by Chatham House, a think tank in London.

Phil Goff, who was serving as New Zealand’s high commissioner to the U.K., apparently tried to draw a contrast between Winston Churchill’s handling of Nazi Germany and Trump’s approach to Russia.

The New Zealand official said he was re-reading a famous Churchill speech from 1938 in which the British leader blasts then-Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain’s decision to sign the Munich Agreement with Adolf Hitler.

"President Trump has restored the bust of Churchill to the Oval Office. But do you think he really understands history?," Goff asked Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, referencing the bust seen during President Trump's heated exchange with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

When speaking with media, New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters, who fired Goff, called the diplomat’s question "deeply disappointing." He also said that it made "his position as high commissioner to London untenable."

Peters called Goff’s firing "one of the most difficult" things he has had to do in his career. He also said that had the former high commissioner made the statement about any other nation, he would have been "forced to act," implying that the firing was not because Goff specifically insulted Trump.

"When you’re in that position, you represent the views of the government and the policies of the day – you’re not able to free-think, you are the face of New Zealand," Peters told the press on Thursday.

Goff has had a storied political career and has served as foreign minister, a Labour Party leader and mayor of Auckland. He was appointed to his position as high commissioner to the UK in 2022.

Valtonen seemed uncomfortable with the question, saying she would "limit" herself in her response. Rather than saying anything about Trump, the Finnish official said many of Churchill’s remarks were "timeless."

Now I understand why the Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. appeared emotional when Zelensky was having a tense back-and-forth with the President in the Oval Office. The US support is fading daily, this fallout is monumental, and at this ‘find out’ stage, Zelensky’s political survival is highly uncertain.

Foreign AffairsTrump Plans To Revoke Legal Status Of Ukrainians Who Fled To US, Sources Say by AImiron(op): 12:41pm On Mar 06, 2025
WASHINGTON, March 6 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's administration is planning to revoke temporary legal status for some 240,000 Ukrainians who fled the conflict with Russia, a senior Trump official and three sources familiar with the matter said, potentially putting them on a fast-track to deportation.

The move, expected as soon as April, would be a stunning reversal of the welcome Ukrainians received under President Joe Biden's administration.

The planned rollback of protections for Ukrainians was underway before Trump publicly feuded with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy last week. It is part of a broader Trump administration effort to strip legal status from more than 1.8 million migrants allowed to enter the U.S. under temporary humanitarian parole programs launched under the Biden administration, the sources said.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said the department had no announcements at this time. The White House and Ukrainian embassy did not respond to requests for comment

A Trump executive order issued on January 20 called for DHS to "terminate all categorical parole programs."The administration plans to revoke parole for about 530,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans as soon as this month, the Trump official and one of the sources familiar with the matter said, requesting anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. The plan to revoke parole for those nationalities was first reported, opens new tab by CBS News.

Migrants stripped of their parole status could face fast-track deportation proceedings, according to an internal ICE email seen by Reuters.

Immigrants who cross the border illegally can be put into the fast-track deportation process known as expedited removal, for two years after they enter. But for those who entered through legal ports of entry without being officially "admitted" to the U.S. - as with those on parole - there is no time limit on their rapid removal, the email said.

The Biden programs were part of a broader effort to create temporary legal pathways to deter illegal immigration and provide humanitarian relief.
In addition to the 240,000 Ukrainians fleeing the Russian invasion, and the 530,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans, these programs covered more than 70,000 Afghans escaping the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.

An additional 1 million migrants scheduled a time to cross at a legal border crossing via an app known as CBP One.

Second stage of FAFO for Zelensky. He already agreed to sign the deal, but this move is a clear message; no more games. When Trump says, "It’s time for peace," he means it. If Zelensky had any other game plan, this should clear his mind. Western support is fading fast, and without U.S. backing, Europe can’t do much. Time to negotiate or face the consequences.

Foreign AffairsTrump ‘BANS Britain From Sharing War Intelligence With Ukraine by AImiron(op): 1:59pm On Mar 05, 2025
WASHINGTON has reportedly banned Britain from sharing American intelligence with Ukraine - but it may let the UK take the lead of Nato.

The order, which applies to all UK intelligence agencies and military outlets, revokes the "Rel UKR" classification - previously allowing Britain to pass on US-generated intelligence to Kyiv.

The decision follows Trump’s shock decision to suspend US military aid, a move that has triggered warnings that Ukraine could run out of weapons within months.

The ban affects GCHQ, the Ministry of Defence’s intelligence branches, and other UK security agencies, potentially hampering Ukraine’s battlefield tactics against Russian forces.

UK military intelligence expert Phil Ingram told the Daily Mail: “The United States’s instruction to stop allies sharing US-derived intelligence with Ukraine is what I would expect[.

"The US’s intelligence partners, including Britain, have had their authority to pass on intelligence revoked"

The US will tightly control distribution of its intelligence to Ukraine through agencies based in Kyiv.”

America's decision to cut intelligence ties came just hours after Trump delivered a blistering speech to Congress, in which he confirmed a “temporary pause” in military aid and blamed Ukraine for failing to secure peace talks with Russia.

The US president insisted that “America must focus on American interests”, warning that the war had become a European responsibility.

Trump’s move stunned Western allies, with officials scrambling to determine the full extent of the freeze.

He has the mandate for everything he's doing, which makes his job easier and more enjoyable. If he's ready, he knows what to do, Trump’s administration demands a public apology first

Foreign AffairsZelensky Describes Clash With Trump As ‘Regrettable,’ Says He Is Ready To Negoti by AImiron(op): 5:47pm On Mar 04, 2025
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a statement Tuesday that his Oval Office meeting last week with US President Donald Trump “did not go the way it was supposed to,” describing it as “regrettable” and noting that Ukraine is ready to negotiate.

“I would like to reiterate Ukraine’s commitment to peace,” Zelensky said on X. “None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts.”

“Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right. We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive,” Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian leader also said Ukraine is ready to sign a deal on Ukraine’s minerals, which was meant to be signed on Friday until the disastrous Oval Office meeting led to Zelensky being told to leave the White House.

“Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it in any time and in any convenient format. We see this agreement as a step toward greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively,” he said.

The framework that Zelensky laid out for a peace agreement is similar to the plan proposed by French President Emmanuel Macron at Sunday’s summit of Western leaders.

“We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same. Then we want to move very fast through all next stages and to work with the US to agree a strong final deal,” Zelensky said.

“We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this.”

Foreign AffairsState Department Terminates U.S. Support Of Ukraine's Energy Grid Restoration by AImiron(op): 2:24pm On Mar 01, 2025
The State Department this week terminated a U.S. Agency for International Development initiative that has invested hundreds of millions of dollars to help restore Ukraine's energy grid from attacks by the Russian military, according to two USAID officials working on the agency’s Ukraine mission.

Power outages have been applied overnight in some regions of Ukraine due to the attacks on energy facilities. The country’s systems have sustained near-constant impact throughout the course of the three-year war.

“It significantly undercuts this administration’s abilities to negotiate on the ceasefire, and it’d signal to Russia that we don’t care about Ukraine or our past investments,” one USAID official involved in the Ukraine mission told NBC News.

The official continued: “Russia is fighting a two-pronged war in Ukraine: A military one but also an economic one. They’re trying to crush the economy, but USAID has played a central role in helping it be resilient, [including] shoring up the energy grid.

We’ve provided vast amount of support to the Ukrainian government to avoid a macro economic crisis.”

In addition to ending the Ukraine Energy Security Project, USAID is also dramatically downsizing its presence in Ukraine.

Before the Trump administration’s latest moves, 64 American government employees and contractors were serving on the ground in Ukraine for the agency. Just eight of those personnel are slated to remain on the ground in the war-torn country after the Trump administration placed its remaining global workforce on administrative leave and ordered those workers not deemed “critical” to return to the U.S.

The two officials warned that USAID withdrawing from Ukraine would leave its energy grid vulnerable in the heart of the winter as it endures assaults from further Russian missiles.

A State Department spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Both officials also asserted that USAID plays the foremost role in ensuring financial aid provided to Ukraine is spent for its intended purposes.

Based on a document obtained by NBC News, the State Department has also ordered the termination of a program focused on “financial sector reform activity.”

We won’t have the eyes on where this money has gone over the last few years,” one of the officials said.

USAID’s Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, which oversees the Ukraine mission, has 115 staff based in Washington, D.C. The bureau’s staff has been told that number would be pared down to 29 employees remaining active, according to the two USAID officials.

Foreign AffairsRe: Zelensky Invades Trump’s ‘disinformation Space’ And It Could Really Hurt Ukraine by AImiron(op): 2:14pm On Mar 01, 2025
The U.S. State Department has terminated a USAID initiative aimed at restoring Ukraine's energy grid, which has been severely damaged due to ongoing conflicts.

This decision comes amid internal debates within the U.S. administration regarding foreign aid allocations and follows a recent heated exchange between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House.

The cessation of this program raises concerns about Ukraine's ability to maintain its energy infrastructure during the ongoing conflict.

Foreign AffairsZelensky Invades Trump’s ‘disinformation Space’ And It Could Really Hurt Ukraine by AImiron(op): 2:14pm On Mar 01, 2025
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky exploded inside what he’s called the “disinformation space” Russia has created around US President Donald Trump, but he may have jeopardized further American support for his country.

Unwilling to sit by while Trump and Vice President JD Vance projected a Swiss-style ambivalence about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Zelensky threw out the recognized world leader playbook for dealing with Trump — fawning and deference — and talked back.

The scene was in stark contrast with the audiences Trump held with two other world leaders this week.

French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer both wanted to entice Trump to deal with Zelensky. Both deployed flattery, with Macron reminiscing about Trump’s visit to Notre Dame and Starmer hand-delivering a letter from King Charles.

Zelensky was at the White House to sign an agreement with the US over rare earth minerals to which Trump wants access in exchange for continued military support. But Zelensky apparently could not stomach a revisionist history in which Putin is not seen as a villain.

Trump, meanwhile, accused Zelensky of “gambling with World War III.”

The resulting Oval Office shouting match, conducted in front of reporters, was a spectacle without precedent in front of TV cameras at the White House.

Trump later kicked Zelensky out of the White House and issued a statement on social media.

“President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations,” Trump wrote on social media. “I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace.”

Americans aren’t used to seeing video of Trump visibly upset – and certainly not at the leader of a democracy the US is supporting with military aid.

Vance also spoke up, and instigated the argument when he said the US condemning Putin during the Biden administration had only brought years of war.

“The path to peace and the path to prosperity is maybe engaging in diplomacy,” Vance said, defending Trump’s apparent trust in Putin. “We tried the pathway of Joe Biden, of thumping our chest,” Vance said.

Zelensky countered that Putin has broken agreements before, such as the one reached in 2019, when Trump was in office. Zelensky didn’t mention it, but that agreement was reached at a time when Trump was preparing to face his first impeachment trial, for withholding aid to Ukraine and pressuring Ukrainians to spin up an investigation ofBiden.

Both Vance and Trump accused Zelensky of not being grateful enough for the aid Zelensky and Ukraine have received from the US, and they both also criticized Biden. Zelensky said he worked with Biden because he was who voters had made the US president at the time.

While Zelensky did try to interject with more thanks during the Oval Office appearance, Trump berated him, saying the war would have been over in “two weeks” without American military aid. Trump also inflated the amount of US aid to Ukraine, which is less than $200 billion, by saying it was $350 billion.

That’s when Zelensky cut Trump off, all but accusing Trump of using Putin’s talking point that the war would have been over in three days without US support for Ukraine.

Trump clearly has animus toward Zelensky and feels kinship with Putin.

“Putin went through a hell of a lot with me,” Trump said. “He went through a phony witch hunt where they used him and Russia. Russia, Russia, Russia.”

That’s a reference to the US intelligence community’s assessment that Russia meddled in the 2016 election in an effort to help Trump’s campaign. A resulting special counsel investigation found multiple contacts between Trump’s campaign and Russians but did not find enough evidence to allege collusion. The investigation overshadowed much of Trump’s first term.

Now, back in office, Trump does not view Putin as an enemy.

“Donald Trump has switched sides in the war, and I think that is the context for the confrontation we just saw,” said Susan Glasser, a journalist who wrote a book about Putin’s rise in Russia.

In Russia, officials were borrowing Trump’s talking points to praise the US president for lecturing Zelensky.

“The insolent pig finally got a proper slap down in the Oval Office and @realDonaldTrump is right: The Kiev regime is ‘gambling with World War III,’” said Dmitry Medvedev, a top official in Putin’s government, in a post on X.

Zelensky, on the other hand, took to X to again thank the US and Trump for their support, as if the blowup had never occurred.

“Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people. Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.”

But the damage may be irreparable. Even supporters of Ukraine in the GOP, like Sen. Lindsay Graham of South Carolina, were questioning whether Zelensky can be a partner.

“I don’t know if we can ever do business with Zelensky again,” Graham said outside the White House on Friday.

Why? The Ukraine president is a president, I wonder how the true Ukrainians feel now seeing thier head talked to like this. Can Russian president be talked to like this by Vance, what ever you do in this life, depend on God and yourself, this really hurts, trump is trying to stop a 3rd world war, its there something that is not being said about thus issue. Great America is defending Russia for what exactly, trump and his folks just made it look like they are scared of Russia or they are Russian friends. In my layman opinion zelensky has shown strength and resilience. History will remember this. I pray trump reconsider this issue because most countries will loose trust for America after this. I am for peace but not on this oppressive terms. Is diplomacy about the truth or manipulation.

I am sure Zelensky knew what he signed up for.

Trump and his gang are just trying to outright bully him.

Calling him to the whitehouse to scold him is no way to talk to a sitting president.

I am happy Zelensky stood his ground. It made trump and Vance look weak.

As slow and as weak as Biden looked he never needed to go into a shouting contest with Zelensky.

Trump wants zelensky to accept whatever he says....so that he can quickly declare that he has ended the war which Biden couldnt do.

Zelesnky wants reassurance that, if he concedes there will never be another attack.

And that shady 50% earth minerals deal just feels like Rape........lol
