Senator Graham is one of Ukraine's allies and a staunch supporter of Zelensky and Ukraine. He has traveled to Ukraine several times.
Well, hearing this from him means Zelensky is in serious trouble. I was quite surprised when I saw his speech, I had to double-check to make sure it wasn’t an AI-generated video.
This picture was taken before the meeting at the Oval Office today. Losing an ally like Graham is a huge blow, Zelensky is in deep trouble.

US Senator Lindsey Graham said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky needs to "change or go" after his meeting with Donald Trump on Friday.
Speaking to the media after the high-profile meeting between the Ukrainian and US leaders descended into chaos, Mr Graham said, referring to Mr Zelensky: "I told him this morning, don't take the bait, don't let the media or anybody else get you into an argument with President Trump."
Speaking to a group of reporters outside the White House, he added: "Zelensky is going to have to fundamentally change or go."
Posting on X, Mr Graham said: ""I've never been more proud of President Trump for showing the American people - and the world — you don't trifle with this man.
He wanted to get a ceasefire.

I knew they would kick him out eventually. That was an unprecedented meeting; I’ve never witnessed anything like it. He intentionally made it happen while they were with the media. Zelensky is truly a comedian, he probably hasn’t read anything about diplomacy. He’s about to find out the hard way. Good luck to Ukraine if they don’t boot out this wannabe dictator. He thought this was Biden’s administration, but even Vance roasted him.

Foreign Affairs › President Trump, V.P Vance And Zelensky Spar Over Russian War In Tense Exchange by AImiron(op): 7:22pm On Feb 28, 2025 |
President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sparred during their meeting at the White House to end the Russia-Ukraine War, including Trump telling the Ukraine leader that he's "talked too much." Amid Zelenskyy's visit to the White House, Vance said that a path to securing peace between Russia and Ukraine was through the U.S. engaging in diplomacy, including speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to White House pool notes of the meeting. "Mr. President, with respect, I think it's disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media," Vance told Zelenskyy. "Right now, you guys are going around and forcing conscripts to the front lines because you have manpower problems. You should be thanking the president for bringing it, to bring it into this country." "Have you've ever been to Ukraine that you say what problems we have?" Zelenskyy shot back. "I've actually watched and seen the stories and I know that what happens is you bring people, you bring them on a propaganda tour," Vance continued. "Mr. President. Do you disagree that you've had problems bringing people into your military? And do you think that it's respectful to come to the Oval Office of the United States of America and attack the administration that is trying to trying to prevent the destruction of your country?" Zelenskyy continued that under war, "everybody has problems, even you" and that the U.S. would feel the war "in the future.""You don't know that," Trump responded as Zelenskyy said "God bless you" to Trump."Don't tell us what we're going to feel. We're trying to solve a problem. Don't tell us what we're going to feel," Trump continued. "You are in no position to dictate that, remember that," Trump said, as Zelenskyyy defended that he was simply answering Vance's questions. "I feel we're going to feel very good, very strong," Trump said. "You're right now not in a very good position. You've allowed yourself to be in a very bad position." "You don't have the cards right now. With us, you start having cards," Trump continued, as Zelesnkyy said, "I'm not playing cards.""Yeah you're playing cards," Trump said. "You're gambling with the lives of millions of people. You're gambling with World War III. You're gambling with World War III. And what you're doing is very disrespectful to the country, this country."Vance interjected, asking Zelenskyy if he's "said thank you once this entire meeting.""You went to Pennsylvania and campaigned for the opposition in October, offer some words of appreciation for the United States of America and the president who's trying to save your country," Vance continued. The Ukraine leader argued Vance was speaking "loudly," before Trump shot back that Vance was not speaking loudly."Your country is in big trouble," Trump said. "Wait a minute. No, no, you've done a lot of talking. Your country is in big trouble." Zelenskyy traveled to the U.S. Friday to meet with Trump at the White House after Trump said Thursday that a peace negotiation to end the war between Ukraine and Russia is in its final stages. The Trump administration is also working to ink an agreement with Ukraine that would allow the U.S. access to Ukraine’s minerals in exchange for support the U.S. has offered the nation since war broke out in 2022, as part of the peace deal. Trump also remarked during his remarks to the media that a trilateral meeting between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the U.S., would be no "love match" and likely be difficult. "They don't like each other, I can tell you that, it's not a love match," Trump told the media when asked how he envisions a trilateral meeting between the U.S.-Russia-Ukraine. source: FoxnewsNlfpmod mynd44 frontpage

Foreign Affairs › Donald Trump Says EU Was 'formed To Screw The USA' And Threatens 25% Tariffs by AImiron(op): 9:19pm On Feb 26, 2025 |
Donald Trump has said he will impose 25% tariffs on the EU "very soon" and claimed the bloc was "formed in order to screw the United States".
The US president made the remarks while holding his first cabinet meeting at the White House since his inauguration in January.
The world's richest man Elon Musk, who leads the US Department of Government Efficiency but is not a cabinet member, was among those present.
During his second term as president, Mr Trump has sparked fears of a global trade war by either imposing, or threatening to impose, high tariffs on both America's allies and geopolitical rivals.
Earlier this month the US government imposed 25% tariffs on goods imported from Canada and Mexico and a 10% tariff on imports from China.
Beijing retaliated by imposing 10% duties on many US imports and 15% tariffs on coal and liquefied natural gas.
Meanwhile, the 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada were paused after agreements were reached on border security.
'They've taken advantage of us'
Asked whether he had made a decision about imposing tariffs on the European Union, Mr Trump said: "We have made a decision, we'll be announcing it very soon and it will be 25% generally speaking and that will be on cars and all other things
The European Union is a different case than Canada, a different kind of case, they've really taken advantage of us in a different way.
"They don't accept our cars, they don't accept essentially our farm products. They use all sorts of reasons why not, and we accept everything from them, and we have about a $300bn (£237bn) deficit with the European Union."
He added: "The European Union, it was formed in order to screw the United States.
"Let's be honest - the European Union was formed in order to screw the United States, that's the purpose of it, and they've done a good job of it, but now I'm president.
Asked what he will do if the EU retaliates, Mr Trump said: "They can't, I mean, they can try, but they can't."
He added: "They can retaliate, but it cannot be a successful retaliation, because we just go cold turkey, we don't buy anymore.
"If that happens, we win."
The threat of tariffs comes at a time of fragile relations between the US and Europe as the Trump administration appears to favour Moscow over Kyiv as it tries to bring about peace in Ukraine.
Mr Trump shocked European leaders last week by calling Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a "dictator with no elections".
Mr Zelenskyy accused the US president of living in a Russian-made "disinformation space". Source: Skynews

Foreign Affairs › Trump’s Art Of The Deal Turns Around An Unwinnable War Against Ukraine by AImiron(op): 8:46pm On Feb 26, 2025 |
On the campaign trail, President Donald Trump claimed he could end the Ukraine War in a week, and the pundits howled with laughter. But as Trump said at his press conference with French President Macron, he’s a deal guy.
In mid-February, Trump floated a plan with President Volodymyr Zelensky to develop Ukraine’s rare earth minerals. After some back and forth, Zelensky is coming to Washington now to sign the deal. It is the first step in a larger agreement to end the Ukraine war.
Trump has taken an unwinnable war, found a way to end it, and bring peace, prosperity and security to everyone.
The deal gives the U.S. access to much-needed rare earth minerals and helps us recoup some of our investment in the Ukraine war. A win for us
It helps rebuild Ukraine’s economy and infrastructure. It puts thousands of American engineers, miners, builders and even bankers on the ground in eastern Ukraine, serving as a security guarantee to Ukraine. A win for Ukraine.
It gives the U.S. an opening to a better relationship with Russia with an aim to driving a wedge in the anti-American Sino-Russian alliance. A win for the U.S. and our allies.
It gives Russia an off-ramp to a difficult war and holds open the possibility of improved relations with the U.S., including in trade and investment. A win for Russia.
First, Trump’s plan is based on accepting reality. Because despite its best efforts and intentions, Ukraine is losing the war – slowly, grindingly, brutally – but losing, nonetheless
President Joe Biden’s pledge to give Ukraine "as much as it takes, as long as it takes" was unrealistic. This was never a war Ukraine could win. It is a war of attrition and those are won by the bigger, richer, more populous countries. Ukraine, the Europeans, and Biden never had a path to victory, the best they could do was deny Russian President Vladimir Putin a win. So, they kept fighting another forever war. Trump’s plan ends the war - with no clear winners or losers.
Second, Trump’s plan addresses the increasing frustration Americans have with the hundreds of billions of military equipment and assistance we’ve given Ukraine, a good percentage of which is unaccounted for. We could recoup some of our contributions by gaining access to Ukraine rare earth minerals and other resources, which the U.S. needs but does not have domestically.
Third, Trump’s plan pushes the Europeans into shouldering more of the burden for their own defense. In a sharp about-face, European leaders are now trekking to the White House with pledges to increase their defense budgets, to help pay for the reconstruction of Ukraine, and even to supply peacekeeping forces.
Fourth, While Ukraine cannot win the war, Ukraine could win the peace. The U.S.-Ukraine deal to develop Ukraine’s resources will put a significant number of American engineers, miners, technicians and bankers will be on the ground in Ukraine, especially eastern Ukraine, where the bulk of the resources are located. Travel › Couple Forced To Sit Next To Passenger's Body After Mid-flight Death by AImiron(op): 6:38pm On Feb 26, 2025 |
An Australian couple said they were forced to sit next to a passenger's body who died on a recent Qatar Airways long-haul flight.
Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin were embarking on their dream trip to Venice and about 10 hours into the flight from Melbourne, Australia, to Doha, Qatar, when a woman leaving the aircraft lavatory collapsed and died near their row, the couple told Australian news outlet A Current Affair on Sunday
"Unfortunately, the lady couldn't be saved, which was pretty heartbreaking to watch," Ring told the news station. "They tried to wheel her up towards business class, but she was quite a large lady, and they couldn't get her through the aisle."
"They looked a bit frustrated, then they just looked at me and saw seats were available beside me; my wife was on the other side, and we were in a row of four.
The flight crew asked Ring to move seats and placed the deceased passenger in his former seat. The couple said they were not offered to relocate seats despite there being empty seats. For the last four hours of the flight, the couple sat in the same row with the dead passenger and was told to stay seated upon landing for medical crews to remove the body.
The couple told A Current Affair the incident was traumatizing, and they have not been offered support from the airline. "They have a duty of care towards their customers as well as their staff, we should be contacted to make sure, do you need some support, do you need some counselling," Ring said.
Qatar Airways told USA TODAY in an email statement on Tuesday: "First and foremost our thoughts are with the family of the passenger who sadly passed away on board our flight. We apologise for any inconvenience or distress this incident may have caused, and are in the process of contacting passengers in line with our policies and procedures." Source: USATODAY

Foreign Affairs › French, UK Leaders Rush To Washington At A Historic Turning Point For The West by AImiron(op): 10:56pm On Feb 24, 2025 |
An existential week is ahead for Ukraine and the West. The leaders of Europe’s two nuclear powers are rushing to the White House to try to reclaim a central role for themselves and for Ukraine after they were cut out of US-Russia talks on ending the war.
President Donald Trump sent shock waves through the transatlantic alliance last week and played into Russian President Vladimir Putin’s hands while attacking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and trashing the truth about how the war started.
French President Emmanuel Macron visits Trump on Monday — the third anniversary of Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, a sovereign democracy, which has killed tens of thousands of civilians and left Putin and his forces accused of war crimes.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will follow on Thursday, in the most treacherous moment yet of his young premiership, with large gaps opening between Washington and London on the reality of Ukraine’s plight.
Britain and France are drawing up plans for a European “reassurance force,” perhaps including up to 30,000 troops that could deploy to Ukraine in the event of a peace deal. The idea, however, faces massive barriers — not least that a deal that both Zelensky and Putin could agree to sign seems highly unlikely. And Starmer has already warned that the force couldn’t work without a US “backstop,” which could potentially include security guarantees, American intelligence cooperation, air support and heavy lift transport. A key takeaway this week will be whether Trump has any interest given Russia’s opposition to NATO troops in Ukraine under any flag.
As Trump leads the US in a new direction on Ukraine, historic schisms are opening that threaten the transatlantic alliance and the post-World War II order. Trump treats America’s longtime friends — who have failed to deliver on calls by successive presidents to spend more on defense — as adversaries. And the new administration has already shattered years of European assumptions about America’s security guarantees to the West. Source: CNN
