Messi has already conquered football. He's so bored and it's lonely at the top. The new challenge is to conquer Hollywood.

What a way to enjoy your career. He's the luckiest man on earth. He won on and off the pitch. If minding your business is a course, he's top of the class. He never sees anyone as competition; he only wants to play football. He isn't after personal achievements but rather team efforts, which explains why he has achieved so much in his career.

Ever since I've been following Messi, he has never once blown his own trumpet. Unlike that desert fraudster, he's so insecure and irrelevant lately, no one cares about him except his delusional fan base. Messi is on top of the world, his rightful place, while Penaldo is in the desert where he belongs, playing among below-average mediocre players.

Celebrating Saudi goals like World Cup triumphs is something I've never seen before. Y'all call that passion, but it's not; he's massaging his ego. What is the use of those goals when his team went trophyless? Did they sign him to score goals with nothing to show for it?

SportsMessi Speaks English In Bad Boys Advert Alongside Will Smith And It's Gone Viral by AImiron(op): 9:31am On May 28, 2024
Many fans are hearing Lionel Messi speak English for the first time after he joined Hollywood actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in promoting the upcoming 'Bad Boys' film.

The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner, who signed a multi-million dollar contract with MLS side Inter Miami last summer, has appeared in a handful of commercials over the years.

In fact, he recently made his Super Bowl commercial debut, starring in one of the biggest adverts of the year alongside "Ted Lasso" star Jason Sudeikis and NFL icon Dan Marino.

Messi's global appeal is up there with anyone on the planet, so his recent appearance alongside 'Bad Boys' duo Will Smith and Martin Lawrence has already travelled far and wide.

As you can see below, the Argentine decides to pay the actors a visit ahead of the film's release date on June 7, 2024 – and it delivered a moment that surprised fans. [1:36s]

One said: "This is the first time in my life I’ve heard Messi speak English," while another commented: "This America PR will be the best thing he gains for going to the US."

A third wrote: "He is doing Hollywood commercials? Dude already owns Miami. Do you understand how big this is? They came to him to promote their movie. A soccer player. Hollywood. He is a true champion."

A fourth said: "Messi going to the MLS might be one of the best decisions he made," while a fifth added: "They should give Messi the Oscar already."

It may be one of the few times Messi has spoken English publicly, but Inter Miami teammate Julian Gressel has heard it all before.

In fact, the German full-back was shocked when the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward spoke to him in fluent English during a game.

Speaking about that moment on his Player Manager podcast, Gressel said: “Between me and Leo we've had this running joke a little bit ever since the first few days.

“I asked him if he speaks any English and he was like 'no, not really, your Spanish is probably better than my English' There was one moment in Saudi, I forget which game it was but maybe the first game, against Al Hilal and he came over to me and spoke to me in English.

SportsBarcelona Sack Xavi With Flick Set To Replace Him by AImiron(op): 7:29pm On May 24, 2024
Xavi will take charge of Barcelona for the final time on Sunday, when they host Sevilla in their last La Liga match of the season.

The 44-year-old, who had been contracted until 2025, was informed of the club's decision during a meeting with club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco on Friday - exactly one month since it was announced that he would remain at the club.

Former Spain midfielder Xavi said in January that he was going leave the Camp Nou, but he was persuaded to stay by Laporta in April.

But recent comments from Xavi, in which he opened up about the club's financial struggles, are said to have angered Laporta.

Barcelona said they would like to "thank Xavi for his work as a coach" since taking charge in 2021.

"It is never easy to leave the club of your life, but I am very proud after two and a half years at the head of a dressing room that has been like a second family," said Xavi in an open letter issued on social media.

"From Sunday I will be just one more Barca fan, in the stands.

"Because before being a player or a coach I am a Barcelona fan and I only want the best for the club in my life, which will always have me at its disposal
."

The Catalan club said a "new structure" will be confirmed in the coming days, with Flick set to take charge.

The 59-year-old has been out of work since he was sacked by Germany in September 2023.

Flick, who replaced Joachim Low as national boss in 2021, became the first Germany manager to be sacked since the role was created in 1926, winning just 12 of his 25 matches in charge.

Flick's stint with Germany came after he guided Bayern Munich to a treble in 2020, winning the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League.

Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski, 35, played under Flick at the Allianz Arena for two seasons.

After guiding Barcelona to the La Liga title in 2022-23, Xavi's side put up a disappointing defence to their crown this term.

The Catalans are 12 points behind rivals Real Madrid, with one game remaining in the season.

Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage by Paris St-Germain.

Xavi spent 17 years with Barcelona as a player, having emerged from the club's La Masia academy.

After four years' playing for Qatari side Al-Sadd, Xavi retired in 2019 to take over the side as manager.

He remained in Qatar for a further two seasons, before replacing Ronald Koeman in November 2021 as Barcelona boss.

Xavi helped the club to the La Liga title and Spanish Cup during his first full season in charge, earning the side a return to the Champions League.

Sevilla boss Quique Sanchez Flores has criticised Barcelona's treatment of Xavi.

"I shouldn't say this, but how badly Barcelona treats its legends. What a bad streak," Flores told reporters on Friday afternoon.

"With Koeman, with Messi, with Xavi now - how bad. I wish clubs treated their legends well. That would be fantastic. Xavi is a legend of the club."

Flores added he had "doubts the criticism about him [Xavi] is correct".

Barcelona will finish the season second in LaLiga behind champions Real Madrid and Xavi will remain in charge for the game at Sevilla.

During his 141 games as Barcelona boss, Xavi won 89 matches - giving him a 63% win ratio.

SportsLookman Hat-trick 'beyond Anyone's Wildest Dreams by AImiron(op): 8:46pm On May 23, 2024
Ademola Lookman's Europa League-winning hat-trick was "beyond anyone's wildest dreams," his former academy coach at Charlton Athletic Steve Avery said.

The 26-year-old Nigeria international scored three spectacular, unanswered goals for Atalanta as the Italian side ended Xabi Alonso and Bayer Leverkusen's 361-day unbeaten run with a 3-0 win in the final in Dublin.

Having started both legs of Atalanta's quarter-final victory against Liverpool, where they won 3-0 on a memorable night at Anfield before the Reds beat them 1-0 in Bergamo, Lookman ran riot against the Bundesliga champions.

He stole in at the back post for the first, bent the ball into the bottom corner with his right foot for the second, before rifling home into the top-right corner with his left to complete the first hat-trick in a major European final since Jupp Heynckes for Borussia Monchengladbach in the 1975 Uefa Cup

'It was written in the stars'

A clip of West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski easily saving Lookman's attempted Panenka penalty during a loan spell at Fulham circulated on social media after the game, showing what a transformative performance this was.

But for Charlton academy director Avery, the quality was always there.

"He was so exciting to watch. That second and third goal - I've seen him do that here, so I'm not surprised," he told BBC Sport London.

"You always wanted him to get on the ball, you weren't sure what would happen sometimes but you knew there was a good chance of it exciting you.

"I don't think it would have been in anyone's wildest dreams that that would have happened."

Lookman has won 21 caps and scored six goals for Nigeria, starting the Super Eagles' 2-1 final defeat by Ivory Coast in the Africa Cup of Nations this year.

But long before that, as a boy growing up in Wandsworth, south London, he played for Waterloo FC between the ages of nine and 16.

Oliver Reynolds was one of his coaches and said he saw the "Lookman of old" against Leverkusen.

"I woke up this morning and just said 'pinch me because I'm pretty sure that was a dream' - we loved every minute of it," he said.

"But, man, it was written in the stars for Ademola Lookman."

He's playing for a club that believes in him'
Lookman began his career in south-east London before moving to Everton in January 2017, where he marked his debut from the bench with the final goal in the Toffees' 4-0 victory against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City
.

That would be his only Premier League goal for the club as he was restricted to just seven league starts in two seasons at Goodison Park.

A six-month loan spell at RB Leipzig followed, with a permanent move to the Red Bull Arena coming a year later in 2019.

After just one Bundesliga start and no league goals, Lookman was loaned out again and returned to London with Fulham.

He scored four times for the Cottagers as they were relegated from the Premier League under Scott Parker and spent the 2021-22 season on loan with Leicester City, scoring eight goals in all competitions as the Foxes finished eighth in the top flight.

Across five and a half seasons he started 62 of his 118 league appearances. Remove his spell from Fulham and that becomes 31 starts in 84.

Since moving to Atalanta in 2022, he has played 76 matches and started 52 of them.

"He's been playing at that elite level but the difference here is that he's playing at a club that clearly has some belief to continue to work with him and develop him, and for him to strike up a relationship with them as well," Avery said.

"Now he has fully established himself at that club, in that league, and he as put himself right up there now in terms of his European achievements."

SportsLookman Makes History, Hits Hat-trick As Atalanta Win Europa League Trophy by AImiron(op): 10:36pm On May 22, 2024
Nigerian forward, Ademola Lookman scored a hat-trick on Wednesday as Atalanta thrashed Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 to win the Europa League trophy in Dublin, Ireland.

The Nigerian striker made history as he becomes the first player to score a hat-trick in Europa League final. He also helped Atalanta to win their first continental trophy in 49 years.

The defeat ended Leverkusen’s 51 games unbeaten run of the season in all competition.

Leverkusen opened the scoring 12 minutes into the match. Davide Zappacosta fed the ball through to Lookman, who picked up the pass inside the box and quickly sent it into the left side of the goal.

Eight minutes minute later, Charles De Ketelaere placed a shot from the edge of the box towards the bottom right corner, but Matej Kovar made a terrific save to deny him.

Lookman completed his hat-trick in the 75th minute. He made a great solo run and pulled the trigger from inside the box, beating Matej Kovar with a strike under the crossbar to make it 3-0.
