nateevs: So why the incessant tirade of attacks on Jackson? Because it was obvious since last season that we should have got a better striker but some fans like you, Timbros, Lordfalcao were blind to it and still blind to it. To someone like you, it was the support cast and not Jackson. We need to beat the drum continuously so that you and those believing in Jackson at Stamford bridge, could hear it, stop dreaming and get a better striker. |

diggz: In the PL or which league?
Anyway, thanks for answering my question! I guess we can agree that he wasn’t an exceptional striker at 22. In fact, he was on loan playing in a lower division league.
The only reason I asked about this is to highlight that comparing Wood to Jackson isn’t really fair. I think we can all agree that we need a better striker than Jackson though. The highlighted is the point and that's all that's important. |

FBS: NFO! 5 goals! WOW! Just WOW! airmark: I don't know how both Arteta and Maresca couldn't figure it out that Fraudiola won treble with both Barcelona and Man city with quality strikers in his attack.
Both will be stupid if they don't get a quality striker, as Liverpool will definitely crack after teams master ways of keeping Salah quiet.
Chris Wood at 33 is pushing Forest up the table, our own Jackson at 22 is dragging us down the table. |

Kimbeast: Take a look at how Rodgers squared the ball for Watkins followed with a one time finish. He didn't send Watkins to Armageddon. Palmer forgot Jackson is a baby-striker that must always be spoon-fed. Haaland was younger than Jackson when he was stretching to ensure the ball hit the back of the net.

This is the type of player from Madrid that i believe will help the team. I remember how he destroyed Busquets last season. |

BlueRayDick: I already apportioned the blame to both players in relation to the sequence of play.
If Palmer had taken his chances when he was through on goal and the defender was still trying to catch up with him, there wouldn't have been need for Chelsea to rely on a gutless striker like Jackson.
However, since Palmer didn't take his chance then Jackson should get his blame for failing to hit the ball with his weaker foot while being faced with an empty net. The moment he hesitated and wanted to get the ball on his stronger foot, he has fumbled and reduced his chance of scoring to the barest minimum. But you still didn't answer my question. No wahala. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by airmark(m): 2:25pm On Jan 29, 2025 |
BlueRayDick: This thing is very easy. Palmer should've scored by himself when he was put through on goal because he had that much time and space to do just that; so the first blame should go to him.
Since Palmer's poor judgment led him to pass the ball to Jackson, as a striker Jackson should've attempted to hit the ball with his left foot being a striker, so the second blame goes to him.
Simple! Both should be blamed but who had the brighter chance of scoring between a player with keeper in his front and the one with empty net in his front? |
