This sums it all up. If u are still blaming zouma for Jorginho playing the ball straight into his own goal post, mehn.....I don't know what to tell u
In our next match our defenders would still play such passes and nobody would shout here because it may not lead to goal.
In fact yesterday, Mendy gave Silva a more difficult pass that i was even afraid as it was more risky and we used it to break Arsenal's high press in that moment. Nobody blamed Mendy as we used it to propel attack.
Jorginho was the culprit and he knows that himself.
donstan18: Your own is that you just don’t want to admit that Zouma fvcked up with what he did, not because he didn’t fvck up, but because it wasn’t Rudiger that did that.
You still had to drag Rudiger in just to push agenda. They are currently not mate in term of form and ball play. Rudiger is now miles ahead of Zouma and it’s a fact you just have to admit.
I asked simple questions regarding similar situation, instead of answering the questions you started talking about ''Rudiger and Zouma are not mates bla bla bla''. Who was talking about that with you?
Ogbeni, what stopped Rudiger from playing the pass to Mendy that opened for him in the gif posted above? Would you have blamed Rudiger had Silva messed with that pass and it led to a goal?
If you can't answer those questions or can't blame Rudiger then you have no point blaming Zouma for passing to Jorginho.
donstan18: Delaying to make a pass becomes wrong when you ignore all available options to rehearsal your traffic warden abilities.
Zouma had options, he had about 4 options ffs.
Is this too difficult for someone who watched that match to understand? This is not me hating on Zouma, he was my preferred defender to Rudiger, but it irritates me to see players make things difficult for their fellow players.
If you know Tuchels tactics and watched how Arsenal refused to be dragged out of defensive positions, you will understand why Zouma did that.
You can't tell me that the CB that gave Kante this pass below didn't have options to play a lofted pass to the flanks himself.
It's a tactical play to drag opponents out and get their numbers depleted for one attacker to pick up the subsequent pass and run at defence.
timbros: I am surprised all what I read here about Zouma being the cause of that goal. Like, seriously?
Look at the space Jorginho have to make a decision. Kepa opened for Zouma to pass to him but Zouma choosed to pass to Jorginho. So these guys are telling me that a player of Jorginho's calibre shouldn't know Kepa's position when the pass is coming to him? Even when he got the pass, was he that choked not to raise his head to know where to place the pass?
I just dey weak for wetin people dey write here. Jorginho has the blame. No one else.
If it didn't lead to goal, nobody would have said anything about Zouma not using other options.
They are unconsciously saying Zouma should never trust Jorginho with such passes again.
Ibime: We play that pass many times a game. The expectation there is to give it to the keeper if you can't do a half-turn
He fücked up the pass to the keeper partly because he has no confidence in his half-turn. A better midfielders first instinct will be to feint for the half turn and spin out. If he has confidence in doing that, he won't rush to pass to the keeper like the ball is a hot potato and fück his pass up
As if i was the only one seeing such passes in our past matches.
We had seen so many of such passes in tight spaces in past matches and they handled them properly and nobody blamed the passers for putting receivers under pressure.
Only God knows what would have happened to the ball passer if Kante had fumbled this pass against Madrid and it led to a goal. But now, Zouma must be blamed for Jorginho's error.
I was surprised they were blaming zouma too, I don't know how people take dey watch ball sef. The mumu no look and just went on to pass to the back . Coward of a player. When you have a penchant for passing to the back at any slightest provocation, this is what is bound to happen .
I first thought it was a joke when Dayo quoted some people and tagged me.
donstan18: My point exactly. He played a huge part in Jorg’s error when he had opportunities to avoid it.
We are not saying the same thing.
That's how they were trained to play from behind and in such manner, so that when they break with the ball, the opponents would have more players beaten in our half and their defenders in trouble.
You can't tell me that you never shouted 'kick out' while fearing that opponents were about stealing balls from us in tight spaces before today.
Rewatch that goal and see the mess he created by holding the ball and getting Jorg choked when he had 4 options earlier.
Even pundits like Ian Wright and some few analyzed and confirmed his fvckery. He messed up.
I hope you saw that image i attached. There was nothing wrong in the pass given to him as they have been drilled by Tuchel on how to receive and break from high press in tight spaces. In fact Jorginho wasn't even in a tight space there.
Go and watch the match and see how our defenders passed to Gilmour and Jorginho, in fact all our midfielders in tight spaces and nobody blamed anybody as none didn't result in goal.
The blame is only on Zouma because of Jorginho's error, and i can tell you for free that Tuchel will definitely not blame Zouma.
rationalmind: Watch that goal again. Jorginho had about three Arsenal players around him. He was definitely going to be put under pressure with no outlet except kepa.
Zouma had no reason passing that ball to him
You guys are funny. I had seen Jorginho receiving passes in tighter situations than below and decided well. I was surprised to be seeing you guys blaming Zouma as if even in this match all our defenders didn't make similar passes in tight spaces to break the presses.
Jorginho is the sole carrier of this blame and he knows it.
raumdeuter: Just call airmark name directly, Dont be stylishly subbing him
You are now desperate. You should be ashamed of yourself trying to hold on to straws to stay afloat in the midst of Ls that have drowned you recently.
Did you watch the match at all? Why should Zouma take the blame of Jorginho's fault in this match?
I didn't blame Rudiger for scoring an own goal in Sheffield's match, because i knew it could happen to anyone and he is better than Boathand. So, bounce.
raumdeuter: [s]Werner was Leipzig top scorer who scored over 20 goals for them, Now Leipzig is struggling to score and now weaker because your team weakened them[/s]
Lewandowski was Dortmund's best player when you bought him. Upermecano was Leipzig when you bought him. Neuer was Schalke04 best player when you bought him. Just to mention a few of how you weakened Burnthisleaguedown teams.
Leyqute: I get. But then the5y both played for different teams. Kanu played for teams at both ends of the spectrum while Yaks played majorly for mid-table teams.
I’d say Kanu, with his hype and potential, performer less than expectation when compared to Yakubu. Yakubu was deemed prolific and Kanu wasn’t. There’s a reason for that.
At this point DayoKANU Raumdeuter will need to come and tell you what Papillo brought to the table.
KingAlabi: Did you see recent times in my write up
That's why i added, 'No coach will win consistently if not allowed to build his team, with some kind of freedom and enough time.'
Your 'recent time' is only when he was at Chelsea and some of us know why he didn't achieve optimally. So you shouldn't base your conclusion of him failing next season on that.
raumdeuter: [s]You have a talent for talking nonsense. He was their best player in 2019/20 but he still played for them in 2020/21 Did Upamecano make the CL team of the season this season? In 2019/20 Werner was Leipzig's top scorer you took him immediately, Harvetz was Leverkusen's top scorer you took him immediately
Did you strengthen them by taking their best scorers[/s]?
Gibberish as usual.
Upermecano was Leipzig's best player when Werner left. That's a fact as decided by Uefa that put him in UCL team of the season and not Werner.
So since Tammy Abraham is our highest goal scorer, he must be Chelsea's best player.
raumdeuter: [s]Werner was their top scorer, Harvetz was Leverkusens top scorer, Did you make them stronger when you took their top scorers?
Leipzig scored 81 goals last year, how many did they score this year after taking their top striker?[/s]
Upermecano was their best player, that's why he made the UCL team of the season and Werner didn't. You just took away their best player and that's weakening a team.
