OJURONGBE1: Shay una dey read wetin this man dey write so? Were you aware that VVD couldn't kick a ball with an ankle injury for half of 2016/2017 season (Jan - July 2017) before signing for Liverpool? For a player to be out for that long, made a comeback and secured a move to Liverpool, shows one thing, he's good at what he does.
A player who has brought stability & Leadership to Liverpool defence, won high profile trophies & competed for prestigious individual awards in the process, is the one you called 'Lucky'
Why has Mugwire not been lucky at Manyoo? Disregard that guy's views. Someone that gladly had sex with his uncle's wife and even posted it on nairaland, should be seen as a lunatic. |

hensben: That Conte second season is where the board got it wrong, after winning the league Matic wouldn’t have been sold, Fabinho(not Bakayoko) ought to have been signed to rotate with either Matic or Kante. Lukaku and Virgil ought to have being signed. We would’ve won ucl that second season with Conte. Sad. Immediately they asked Conte about Matic and he said he didn't know anything about him that they should ask the club, i knew there was a problem. Na that VVD own pain me pass. Imagine, we had to go and bring old Thiago Silva, just because Rudiger was useless. |

swiz123: You are talking as if Rudiger and VVD cost the same. Lukaku too cost more than Morata in transfer fee and wages. The same with VVD.
So, it can be argued that the board was looking at it from an economic aspect. Which stupid economic aspect? By using 60m that should have been used to buy VVD, an Epl-tested defender, to buy a Rudiger and Zapacosta or '2 for #5' average players that wouldn't upgrade the team? Lukaku was suitable for Conte's style and the difference in fees between him and Morata was negligible, for any smart football person to see. |

iamJ: any player you buy is a gamble, Chelsea's model is to buy young potential stars that can become world beaters later and generate the club profits after being a success at chelsea
We have made alot of money using this method, the old method of buying already established players for big bucks can't work, we no get stadium and the club isn't generating enough, this method allows us to compete at the highest level and generates money for the club
How much did barca spend trying to replace Neymar?
Its not easy to buy a player and that player will come and perform, coaches use sentiments when picking players that's why the board overseas all transfers, do you know the double L that united took buying pogba back? And he still hasn't performed or accomplished anything for the club after that investment, how do you know that rice will work? Some players are only good in mediocre teams, I don't blame the board, they are trying to protect the future of the club, if these things aren't carefully thought out, it can destroy the club, we are struggling to qualify for champions league football lately, the club has even tried to find a balance self, instead of una to appreciate the board, una dey talk nonsense, if the owner fold his hands like arsenal and we fall into mediocrity na that one una want abi, he should leave lampard there and we finish 14th
Look at arsenal, nobody respects them anymore, these days even when they lose matches, nobody goes to their page to troll them because they aren't important That's how the board picked the nonsense Rudiger over a Conte-preferred VVD. That's how they forced the spineless Morata on the Italian, who preferred Lukaku for his system. And we saw how it panned out. Make the board kuku go and be coaching with the players they signed na. Nonsense. |

A40: [s]Lool of course leave out the fact that they lost the first leg 3-0 at home
Whether they were knocked out shamefully or respectfully is immaterial. They were the best team in England simple and the numbers back it up.
UCL and Europe have no correlation. I'm tired of repeating this. Madrid did a 3peat in the CL and you couldn't confidently call them the best team in Spain. Learn to separate the two
Were the big teams in decline in 2018/2019 too when City won 18 games in a row? And Liverpool were the only challengers? Yet City won a domestic treble. Would you call Liverpool the best team in England in 18/19[/s] You kept on shifting the post. You asked about Arsenal in Ucl 2004, i smashed it. You said big teams in 2017/2018 were not on a decline, i showed you the epl table to knock it off. You said other teams in 1999 were rubbish, you are yet to prove it. Just rest Mr. A40. |

Even when one was supporting Lampard he still brought the Chelsea Boathand, Rudiger to play against Leicester and that nailed him.
Anytime i get that opportunity of meeting him, i will ask him what made him use Rudiger in that match that later signed him off into oblivion.

A40: [s]UEFA Cup winners cup was a B-RATE competition and the Super Cup was more of a glorified Friendly then than it is now
Arsenal who couldn't get past the CL group stage and without European distractions couldn't score more than 78 points? That is clearly rubbish competition
Scoring 106 goals and winning 32 matches from 38 is not a record. Show me any team with a better winning percentage
Internationally not domestically. Duhh[/s]
The season Arsenal went undefeated they were the best team in England. Does it have anything to do with Europe? Was Milan the best team in Italy all those years they were winning Champions League? Yes, they defeated Inter milan at San Siro 5-1 in what stunned everyone that time. Also, they didn't get knocked out shamefully home and away in the UCL like Man city of 2018. In fact it was an 87th minute lucky goal that knocked them out in the Quarter finals. You can't be the best epl team ever and get disgraced out of UCL like that Man city team you were hyping. The big teams in 2017/2018 were obviously on a decline and that gave City team that edge. Stop hyping them.

I actually said I would give him till season ending, but no be me get club na.... Well, against Leicester that Odoi started he was horrible and i remember the biggest chance of that match fell on his lap, courtesy of Pulisic and he wasted it. I remember against Aston Villa Odoi played full 90 mins and didnt play half of what he played as a sub against Luton. Fact is, most of these players are inconsistent to be relied on, Odoi, inclusive. |
