He came in overweight,and has been struggling with fitness issues. He's never been 100%,so a large chunk - if not all - of those minutes are combinations of different times spent trying to regain peak form/fitness. This "two left-legged twerker" was the best player in Chelsea for the duration of his career in England. He was arguably the best player overall in the league in his time there. Football always has Domino effects, everything in football is about sequences..if Semedo was with Vinny there kroos wouldn't have made that pass..

And asking if I was in his mind is quite dumb tbh..we all know that's his game, that's what he does, he loves dropping deep and pulling markers and opening up space for others, that is and always has been his game..credit where credit is due

And FergieRaww there is no modern striker that is world-class right now that is static or stationery in the box, this your definition of how a number 9 should position is not correct even the Legendary Raul was always drifting, makes it harder for defenders to track you and also opens up space for others..

With that being said Benzema will be best suited playing with someone who has more of a killer instinct that can attack the spaces he opens up the way Vinny did and the way Ronaldo always does

VAR was right on this based on the rules.

Sugurdadon was too close to the ball. He was even in the direction of flow of the ball towards the goal and the goalkeeper was in goal.

His movement or being there affected the goalkeeper's decision. DeGea was going to dive for the ball but anticipating a deflection he moved to his right, I saw that clearly from one of the angles from VAR which the retired ref also said in the video above.

However, DeGea didn't have to be in a position to save the ball for the rules to apply. Nevertheless, who says DeGea with his sharp reflexes would not have saved that ball because he has made more serious saves. DeGaa himself told Ole that Sigurdson in that position distracted him

Alonso is already a striker in all but name. He averages more touches in the penalty box per game than the likes of Jesse Lingard, and actually sees more of the ball in the Final 3rd than Morata himself.

His game is about off the ball movement, and is only really hampered attacking wise by the fact that he has to retreat to his own box area several times a game.

Alonso is really a false 9. Why not just make him a real 9? His defensive game still leaves a lot to be desired, but offensively he could probably do some real damage. He's good in the air, tall, strong, and has a great eye for goal.
