@Austinblinks, pls no more death I beg you... Or could all this be dream that Lanre is still having... |
Just a simple 'sorry' could have averted all this, they could have enjoyed their camping and the class rep could have known who is father really was!!! I guess we have to do away with our youthful exuberance in most cases and pray this attitude doesn't kill us... Halimat shouldn't have died, am picturing her as one of my muslim friends that I crush on seriously (her name too is Halimat), she's damn beautiful and she knowns it and flaunts her beauty in a very good way.. Don't known I have this thing for muslim ladies that are beautiful and rock this small hijab or uses scarf as head covering. #ama christian. Good job @Austinblinks, saw this story an hour ago, and now am here.. More updates ooooo. And please keep the rest alive, they have gone through a lot already. |

amzee:I already did that before creating the thread, only felt I should let people know so that you will not fall victim of such... So that you don't swallow metal.. |
Mubby4luv:Its not a burnt corn, checked it was metal... |
Good evening, am a final year student in one of the school in the South West part of Nigeria, studying Food Science and Engineering. It happened that I went to visit my crush (girlfriend) and while there her room mate came in and brought a sachet of Nasco Cornflakes. Her room mate prepared the cornflakes and started eating all of a sudden she chewed on something hard and cold, upon spitting the object out, it happened to be a metal (probably a machine part). I thank God that it was my crush's room mate that took it first and not my crush, because it would have been more disatrous due to the fact that my crush does not chew cornflakes, she swallows it , and was thinking what would have happened if she had swallowed the metal. Companies should run more periodical checks on the equipment to know a part is breaking off. *** photos attached ***

penplayer:Good job there @Penplayer, sorry could not comment during the debate, went partying yesterday afternoon and came back late at night when the debate was already on and was so tired that I actually slept off while reading the essay of fellow student from ABU Zaria. I really appreciate your work in standing alone to participate in the debate. "Intimidation we condone not" In all fairness, LAUTECH could have this debate if you had a partner. You really showed the example of "Excellence, Integrity and Service" that our great citadel of learning stands for. Let's connect in view of a next time, would love to take part if not as a contestant but as a contributor to subsequent essays that our contestants will need for the debate. Thanks. Once again I say congratulation. Signed: Hon_Ajaxtea (P.R.O 2 Liberal Movement LAUTECH) |
*** Things You need to know about LASSA fever *** Lassa fever or Lassa hemorrhagic fever (LHF) is an acute viral hemorrhagic fever caused by the Lassa virus and first described in 1969 in the town of Lassa, in Borno State, Nigeria.[1] Lassa fever is a member of the Arenaviridae virus family. Similar to ebola,[2] clinical cases of the disease had been known for over a decade, but had not been connected with a viral pathogen. The virus is probably transmitted by contact with the faeces or urine of animals accessing grain stores in residences. Given its high rate of incidence, Lassa fever is a major problem in affected countries. After an incubation period of 6 to 21 days, an acute illness with multiorgan involvement develops. Nonspecific symptoms include fever, facial swelling, and muscle fatigue, as well as conjunctivitis and mucosal bleeding. The other symptoms arising from the affected organs are: Nausea, Vomiting (bloody), Diarrhea (bloody), Stomach ache, Constipation, Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), Hepatitis, Pericarditis, Hypertension, Hypotension, Tachycardia (abnormally high heart rate), Cough, Chest pain, Dyspnoea, Pharyngitis, Pleuritis, Nervous system, Encephalitis, Meningitis, Unilateral or bilateral hearing deficit, Seizures Clinically, Lassa fever infections are difficult to distinguish from other viral hemorrhagic fevers such as Ebola and Marburg, and from more common febrile illnesses such as malaria. The virus is excreted in urine for 3-9 weeks and in semen for three months. Control of the Mastomys rodent population is impractical, so measures are limited to keeping rodents out of homes and food supplies, as well as maintaining effective personal hygiene. Gloves, masks, laboratory coats, and goggles are advised while in contact with an infected person. All persons suspected of Lassa fever infection should be admitted to isolation facilities and their body fluids and excreta properly disposed off. |

Kitme:We are more than cool... Such a touching story, never expected Lola to make that sacrifice, I feel for her like...... |
britzz:Its not all about Yahoo guys this man terrorise, he once busted my hostel at the middle of the night that we thought it was armed robbers that came... That night some guys in my hostel parted with nothing less than #300,000 to evade arrest. My second experience with him was while driving in one my friends car (the car belongs to his parent who are LAUTECH staff). We were stopped on our way to our hostel around 8pm coming from school, we were searched like we had incriminate objects in the vehicle. We were delayed for like an hour, it took the effort of some my fellow honourables lead by a former Speaker Lautech Student Union who were on a routine security patrol around the residential area that came to our rescue that night... |
For those willing to know who this Alhaji of a guy is.. Google search his name and you will see the comprehensive news report about him. |
lakesidepapa:I dey Engineering. And U?? |
For those having pity on Alhaji Gay, it seems you don't know how notorious this man was. If you care to know ask any LAUTECH student presently in 200L and above now or those that have graduated till around class 09, they will be able to tell you who this man was.. You can also check one of the topics on Nairaland (just search for the name "Alhaji Gay") (the topic was done sometimes around late 2011).. I feel no pity at all for this man... Come see jubilation for LAUTECH especially amidst Yahoo guys (don't ask me how I know, I leave with a load of them in my hostel. And am speaking from experience) I can't forget what this Alhaji did to me and my guys when I was in 100L way back in 2011... Thank God for ridding Nigeria off another Nuisance.. Rest in pieces....... |
