You'll need at least 1 year work experience Veevii: Thanks for your reply. Although I hope to use my MSc. Degree in occupational health and safety for this immigration. Is there any possibility? I will be going for a 6 months internship on the course in an oil&gas company. Will that count as experience? |

I suppose you should be able to work with this if the working hours is more than 20 hours per week. What come to mind is Sales Representative (Medical and Pharmaceutical Products). The problem is currently no state is offering nomination for it. What you can do is go through anzscosearch.com/search and see if you can find any other occupation that is closely related to what you do.

What you should do is go through anzscosearch.com/search and search for occupation that is closely related to your occupation. You'll find options like laboratory technician, laboratory scientist etc. Job title is not really important, job description is. Your Bsc is good. Years of work experience is also good. sunsplash99: Hello My Good People Pls somebody should help me with information on the best visa option, the necessary documents needed and other useful information.

Did you see @tunlex01 response? He already provided insight on your qualifications. So, your BSc is enough for assessment. Do not include MSc. Your estimated points: Age - 15 Qualification - 15 Work Experience: 10/15 Married: 5 (your spouse should write English Test and score at least 50 in all bands for PTE of 6 in all bands for IELTS) 491: 15 English: 10/20 Total: Between 70 - 85 points. (85 points if the assessor approved your 8 years experience and your achieve 20 Points in English). The ball is in your court. Goodman25: Good morning, 1. anzscosearch.com/search The relevance is that, for a skill level 1 occupation BSc is the minimum requirement. For instance, VETASSESS only recognise BSc from Tier 1 universities like Unilag. If your university is not classify as Tier 1, then it has to be a 5 years program. If it's not, the BSc will be graded as equivalent to their Associate Degree and not BSc. Bodacious1: How/where do you check what level an occupation is? And what's the relevance of this? Thank you. |

You can apply for Pharmacy Technician. BTW, you do have a chance for 491. Before the lock down, Northern Territory was accepting nomination for 491. NSW is also accepting but with minimum of 5 years work experience under stream 2. Quick questions: 1. What year did you attain your BSc (what University/number of years) and Msc? 2. Work experience is from what year? Goodman25: Good morning good people,
Is there chances for visa subclass 491 with the following information:
Age - 42 yrs

No IELTS yet, just about to start the whole journey
Can I apply as a Pharmacy technician as the job description align with what have been doing even though my offer letter state pharmacist.

Your profile is good. The next step is to do assessment and in your case, write another English Test. What you have presently is 0 point. You should try PTE-A for 20points (i.e. >79 in all bands). Your visa options ranges from 189, 190 and 491. You have a lot of options depending on your overall points. What's the course of study for your MSc and PhD? Also, what do you lecture? I've attached VETASSESS information sheet on assessment as University Lecturer for your perusal. Please go through it thoroughly. What I can't advice is whether your should use your MSc so that you can gain more points in experience, or use your PhD for higher points in qualifications. @tunlex01 will assist you with any missing information necessary when he's chanced. You should also check if your spouse occupation is available for assessment. The English test alone will give you extra 5 points. If he can do assessment for his occupation, you'll get 10 points in total. omoluabiade: Good morning, Looked at this process sometimes last year looked cumbersome so I abandoned it. Your school have to send the transcript to VETASSESS. There's no two ways about it. If your MBA is related to the nominated occupation, you can use it alone. If you can get your school to send the BSc, by all means do it. Just to be on the safe side. Goodies1: Hello great people! Please help clarify....
If I have my official transcript, can I post to vetasses myself? will it be accepted? I'm asking cos I don't trust my uni to deliver.
Also, my bsc is not in a related field. I intend to use just my MBA for assessment. Is there any need to still send my bsc transcript to vetasses? |

First and foremost, you cannot apply for 190. Your focus should be on 491. Secondly, I hope you have gone through VETASSESS requirements before you apply for the assessment. Make sure your job description is aligned. Also, you need to be sure that your degree in English Literature is highly relevant to your nominated occupation. Another way to be sure is to apply for VETASSESS skill assessment support. It's a document checking service that will cost you AUD $110. Better to be sure than waste AUD $880. To the best of my knowledge, to gain points for partner skill, DOHA requires that the partner should be a (spouse or de facto partner). You'll be require to show proof for any of these relationships. I assume what you meant was de facto partner. See the attached screenshot for further clarifications on single/partner points. udi2111: Thanks for the feedback. Your projected 75 points won't cut it for 189. See the invitation rounds as at March 2020 as attached. The last round of invitation for your occupation is at 90 Points. To be realistic, anything less that 85 points at this time may turn out to be a waste of time for 189. Also, in a relationship means you're single. So, that's 10 points for you. Unless you planned on getting married soon. You can apply from anywhere, whether home or abroad just like you said provided you can provide all the supporting documents. One thing I don't get is how you arrived at 10points for work experience. It's 4 years from 2016 not 5 years. I'd advice you target 20 Points for English and look at 190/491 visa options. udi2111: Hello house. I'm a silent reader. I need an assessment of my profile. I'm applying for 189.I'm a bachelor's degree holder of electrical engineering, working in electricity distribution company.

Qualification BEng in Electrical Engineering 2009 - 2015(6years) 15 pts
Experience (5years) 10 pts (2016 - till date) Electricity distribution company ( Job duties are in line with bachelor's degree)
PTE 10 pts but will try to make it 20.
marital status. (in a relationship) hopefully to get additional 5 points cos I read from this thread that one can get that.
Total 65pts or 70 or (75pts if PTE goes well).
What are my chances. Lastly, hope applying from abroad is not a problem provided i can provide all the supporting documents?

What I've learnt from various people that has gone through this process is that patience is key. I'm not qualified to actually respond to your question cus we are also expecting. All I can say is that; we just have to wait, trust God and in the end everything will be just fine. OmenaVI: Good evening everyone! Trust we're taking precautions and staying safe
A quick question please:
We applied for Visa 190 NSW since early November 2019. We haven't heard ANYTHING from them, no CO contact; absolutely nothing. This is early April (about 5 months after) and we're wondering.
We suspected all processing was put on hold due to COVID-19 but noticed ITAs are still going out.
Any advice or suggestions please.
Thank you!

Your chances are really good. You and your spouse should do assessment. With these, you'll gain maximum partner point and also any of you can be the main applicant for your occupations. Haven't said that, I'd advice you find someone that has gone through HRM assessment with AIM for guidance. Your spouse occupation as Spatial Scientist is under VETASSESS. Their process is quite straightforward and the MSc from Ibadan is 2008 will do just fine. Just make sure the work experience and job description is verifiable and matches that of ANZSCO. Every other information can be found on your assessor's website. In addition, your occupations are both available for nomination by various states, some with caveat base of type of Visa class. You should try and see how much points your spouse as main applicant can gather on https://www.anzscosearch.com/search/. If he can get 20points from English Test, it will really do your guys a great deal to apply for either 189 or 190. His occupation is available for 189, 190 (Both permanent residence) as well as 491 (Provisional visa) Goodies1: Please help me out...what are my chances please God bless |

Your chances seems alright base on states offering nomination for your occupation. However, your assessment on the other hand is another thing. I'd suggest you go through http://www.lpab.justice.nsw.gov.au/Pages/admission-overseas-lawyers/admission-overseas-qualified-lawyers.aspxThey are the assessor for your occupation. They also have English requirements as well. So, digest as much information on how to proceed with the assessment. I hope their procedure is straightforward and doable. Your spouse should write Test of English as well. You need all the points you can get. Good luck. lowsugar: Please help me check our chances so as to go ahead with IELTS after this COVID-19 problem.

Now I'm confused. What year did you finish your Masters, 2013 or 2018? Also, have you completed any of the visa test point calculator? If not, do that here https://www.anzscosearch.com/points-test/. From what I've gathered so far, this is what you have. You should complete the rest. Age: 25 points Martial status: English: Your current English result is 0 point Education: (Masters) 15 points Years of Exp: ? Occupation: HR Adviser Visa Type 491: 15 points As it stands you have 55 points Just so you know, you can get 20 points for Test of English if you are able to get 8 in all bands for IELTS and 79 for PTE. single 10points, if you are married, your spouse can give you additional 5 points with English or 10 points with English & Assessment. Potentially, you can max 80/85 points without work experience. To the best of my knowledge, States like SA requires 85 points for 491, while NSW & VIC requires 5 years work experience with minimum of 65 points. Can't say more until you have an idea of your maximum points base on the year you completed your Masters. june24: Hello @ajayidebo thanks please indulge me on more time.
I was thinking since i finished my Masters in Feb 2013. I get points for 1.5 years ( March 2014 - Oct 2014). Since it's a ten year work period they are assessing my job description can get me full points for 2017 till date. If am not getting points for experience then maybe i should save the money meant to Vetassess and look towards another country.
What do you think? |
