A humanist organisation says a Nigerian man detained in a mental hospital because he didn't believe in God has been freed. The International Humanist and Ethical Union said the man - Mubarak Bala - was released due to strike action at the hospital. It said he had been forcibly medicated and confined for eighteen days in a psychiatric ward in the northern city of Kano. The man's family is reported to have had him committed to the hospital because it feared for his safety after he publicly stated his atheism.......
