Yes, do you think it's easy to let go when there is no option in sight? It's the government's responsibility in a responsible and civil approach, to ensure that the evacuation are done in a safe and decent manner in the whole exercise rather than behave in a dehumanizing way which will only end up being their problem again especially for a state that is already experiencing insurgencies from unknown gunmen.

I understand the structure was at the wrong place and needs to be removed but it could have been done in a civilized manner without beating and harassing. Have a residential meeting with the affected areas. Suggest alternatives, seal off premises. Ensure your officers conduct themselves in a professional manner and not bullying or oppressing cos they feel empowered. And more importantly, follow the rule of law. If they have a approval from previous governments, look into it and ensure that owners are either compensated or giving option.

We shouldn't treat ourselves to dehumanizing ways just because we want to correct something.

The reality is that Kaduna Christians face all the northern Muslims including the neighbouring Niger Republic �� - the reason there are lots of migrants claiming indigenes in some part of Kaduna. Infact the Emirs from other states in North are always interested in who rules Kaduna because they see the state as the capital of northern Nigeria and therefore should be seen as symbol of Islam. There are many indigenous non Muslims in Kaduna state that can challenge the status quo but the hurdle of facing the entire Muslim North is humongous for them.
