Crime › Re: Two Nigerian “big Boys” Jailed Over Wire Fraud In The U.S. - Pictures by ak22(m): 11:50am On May 15, 2018 |

Two Nigerian citizens, both of whom reside in Houston, have been ordered to federal prison for perpetuating a wire fraud scheme involving various internet scams, announced U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick. . . Idowu Olugbenga Temetan aka David Cole, 30, and Adetilewa Olamigoke Afolabi Ikuejuyone aka Kuffour Duval, 36, previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and three counts of wire fraud. . . Temetan also admitted to one count of passport forgery. U.S. District Judge Sim Lake handed Temetan a 51-month sentence, while Ikuejuyone received a 45-month sentence. . . Both defendants were also held jointly and severally liable to pay $187,422.60 in restitution. As both are not U.S. citizens, each are expected to face deportation proceedings following their sentences. . . At Ikuejuyone’s sentencing, the court heard testimony from a relative of one of the victims who testified about the emotional and financial toll the defendant’s criminal actions had taken on their family. . . During Temetan’s sentencing hearing, he acknowledged his mistakes and apologized to the victims for his actions. In handing down the sentences, the court noted the defendants engaged in a series of actions over an extended length of time to defraud multiple victims. . . From October 2013 until March 2014, Temetan and Ikuejuyone used counterfeit passports to open bank accounts in the greater Houston area. The passports contained photographs of Temetan and Ikuejuyone but utilized the aliases of David Cole and Kuffour Duval, respectively. . . Both Temetan and Ikuejuyone then worked with others to lure victims into sending money into various bank accounts under their sole ownership and control. . . Law enforcement has been able to trace at least $4 million to victims, some of whom who reside in Houston, that have been affected by this scheme. The conspiracy resulted in the defrauding of one elderly victim of $3 million alone.

Morwendy: Hi. New here but have read threads for years til now and I just have a simple question to ask . Ok, I know how dim I sound but I married my Nigerian husband 8 years ago. Next week, we apply for his permanent leave to remain here. We've been happy enough since we got married, the usual ups and downs but nothing too serious. Anyway, I found that he has a website advertising a business in Nigeria. Asked him about it and he says yes its his but its not up and running yet (like thats why I was mad at him rather than because he set ghis up without even telling me). I was looking at some photos on his site and I came across a poster laying out the days events for his fathers funeral. At the foot of the poster it says 'by [his name but different surname] on behalf of the family. Now, this new surname is the same as his fathers so I believe it to be his true name. Asked him about it and he says that his surname is different to the rest of his family because he chose to take his paternal grandfathers name. I assume his father should also bear the grandfathers name? He just keeps telling me that I don't understand Nigerian customs/traditions but now the word 'scammed' keeps popping into my head. A simple yes or no would be enough - is it usual for a man to NOT take his fathers name? Thanks in advance. Good day madam . it is very possible for someone to bear different surname name from other siblings. Let me use my own case for example I decided to bear different surname with my siblings, when I discovered my grandfather first name which is very sweet to pronounce than our initial surname, and I told my father that Dady , I want to change my surname to my grandfather name and he accepted it till date am bearing different surname . But I don't know why your husband decided to change his own surname . |

OmoBendel24: They can book together and also interview same time. Your uncle can be a relative of your sister, but for grandma, who is your uncle to her? The SPONSOR is the one who is proposed to bear the cost of the trip, his relationship to your sister is RELATIVE, yeah. Okay, I think it's same for grandma too, can't really remember how that form is structured again, but faintly think there isn't room for addressing one's sponsor as IMMEDIATE FAMILY/RELATIVE even if they were. Do check and get back to us on what the options are.... Regards Okay thanks |

maximunimpact: Nigerian government under president Muhammadu Buhari has saved about two hundred billion naira (N2,000,000,000) by eliminating ghost workers from payroll.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo revealed this while highlighting governments efforts in cleaning the federal civil service from corrupt practices.
A tweet posted on the verified Twitter handle @AsoRock, revealed that Osinbajo said this during his keynote address at the on-going Open Government Week, which started on Monday (today).
The VP said the government had put in place the Presidential Initiative on Continuous Audit, which helps to keep a check on the federal payroll and pensions.

Ishilove: Well, at least he looks like he is dying. He is now emaciated and all his favourite food is being rejecteted.
He has lost all his teeth and only eats soft food. He is even rejecting fish and ordinary soup. The poor thing is perpetually hungry but when we give him food, it is the lizards in the compound and neighbourhoods birds that it (you should see how fat those lizards are now).
Can anyone suggest what to feed a sixteen year old dog who seems to have lost his taste for food? Please, it hurts so much watching him waste away. Yesterday he was staggering around like a drunk because of hunger. We had to feed him left over meat pie and gala before he could get himself.
Please, suggest something.
*sob*
PS- My dog's name is Ruggedman, so no one should go and harass the rapper with 'get well soon' messages. This your dog don suffer too much oooo . dey deaf since 2016 but now hin teeth don comot . .we dont know when will happen to the dog next month . why don't you allow this dog to rest in peace once
