Hmm...majority of the arguments here are so hateful and never objective. This forum becomes distasteful when discussions do not engineer the Nigerian Spirit, nor are intelligible. It should be borne in mind that there are many 'unseen' observers of the comments made in this forum. It makes no sense to argue circuitously, with both sides of the mouth, and without concessions even when one is severely contradicted. It's high time we Nigerians learnt never to allow our opinion be influenced by the yearnings of politicians. After all,it is ridiculous that after canvassing shamelessly, violently and probably blindly for them, they wouldn't even remember such a person until the following elections. If there are trains, acknowledge them,if you haven't seen them, make your way to see them, and if you can't find them, ask for where they are so as to find them.It makes no sense to blindly doubt and cast aspersions on people under the pretext of commenting in a forum. The worst is to wave it aside as not being an achievement despite ages of retrogression in that sector.I hold no brief for anyone. But it remains to be seen that the ordinary Nigerians would constructively engage themselves when analysing leadership issues which have bedeviled us for decades now, since independence.Nairaland shouldn't be a platform for sentimental, hateful, derisive and misleading comments about Nigeria.Nigerian youths should arise and take charge of Nigeria's destiny, not to stay here and argue blindly, probably having been paid to do so by a certain corrupt politician. |
Fellow Nigerians, let's grow away from sentiments and talk about issues. This story talks about some photoshopped pictures. Is there anyone who can discredit this? All I see above me are arguments as to persons and not as to issues. In as much as our politicians are sentimental and parochial in thinking and expression,I believe we the led should be different. |

The best thing to happen to Nigeria so far,is the removal of the Arabic inscription on the naira. It is high time the Northern extremists realized that the southerners are increasingly becoming stakeholders in the Nigerian project, and will refuse to be muzzled to the back seat. It is unarguable that Arabic is NEVER a national language, just like the Hebrew language is not either. Therefore,Arabic not being one of our national languages shouldn't have found its way into the naira. Period! |
Really?Honestly, the explanations do not offer such use as is commensurate with the amount borrowed. It appears the use to which the loan was put is inexplicable! |
A wife who cheats is way worse than that who nags;though a nag can be hell to live with. |
Seriously, the situation is utterly despicable.Recently,I have realized that MTN even charge normal rates for data usage even when I have megabytes.I have since restricted my recharging of my MTN account to limit the fraud. |
With due respect to Femi Falana SAN,leasing a jet registered under part c of CAMA is not contrary to the provisions of the said legislation. This is because organizations registered under part c of CAMA are allowed to do business in order to achieve their objects, unlike companies limited by guarantee registrable under part A of CAMA which are never allowed to do business. Therefore, the pastor was at liberty to have leased the said jet in order to achieve the aims and objectives of his organization.Akanimo Ukpe |
