Kctems: How long do you expect it will take From my findings in past threads,it usually takes about four (4) weeks after the first test (which includes BRT in our case) for qualified candidates of the management trainee recruitment exercise to be contacted for the next stage. Please I can only speculate as I'm only a candidate like most if not all of you |

Chevinsmedia: BRT is over. What's next my people? We wait As for me I wish I used a laptop for the BRT, the phone screen I used was just small which made me to waste time by scrolling up and down to answer questions, also the test is quite tricky ,I came to realise (after the test) that some questions were not what they seemed to be, but in all things I give thanks to God because I know He has seen me through, see you at the next stage. |

Walspring: New edition of discounted promo offer for GRE and TOEFL is out again for just 15 people and is likely for it to increase above 15. All the 15 applicants will pay 50% while some benevolent poeple on this thread are paying 50% to subsidize it for them but they don't want me to mention their names as usual.
Due to some issues encountered during the previous edition, payment is required before test registration this time around because i am not going to wait for 24 hours anymore before requesting for payment. Enough of all the touching stories. It is not by force to benefit from this discounted promo offer.
It's easy to partake, go to www.ets.org/gre or www.ets.org/Toefl and create your Ets account first. GRE is $205 while Toefl is $180, multiple it by 370 and divide it by 2 to get the 50% of the amount you pay. Make sure you register before sending me login details for the TOEFL or GRE registration.
1. Type of test. 2. User name. 3. Password. 4. Date you want to write the test. 5. Month you want to write the test. 6. Phone number. (please let the phone number be reachable) 7. State you want to write the test. 8. Name of the center you will prefer. 9. Send me pm to give you account details for payment. 10. Notify immediately you send payment 11. the exchange rate is #370 to $1 12. You divide the total cost by 2 to get the 50% rate
I beg of you that want to partake, kindly do the fee calculation very well and don't send me below the fee payment because i will automatically delete you from the offer list and please be sure of your test date and center before sending me your payment and details because i won't call anyone this time around to verify test date and center. I don't want incomplete details to be send to me and to all those sending people my email and phone number kindly notify me first or better still show them this page to send me pm.
N.B This is first come and first serve because i will work on the payment i received first.
Terms and conditions. Payment is required first before test registration in the edition.
God bless the good people behind this. Amen Boss, I sent you a PM is the promo still available? |

Congrats to every one who made the list, I believe you all deserve to be shortlisted. For everyone (including me) who couldn't make the cut, I hope we all learn from this experience and become better persons (atleast practice the new vocabularies you have learnt). I will be back next year not to just congratulate people but to be congratulated.
For curiosity's sake, does anyone know anybody that was shortlisted who registered while serving? |
Education › Re: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by akatovic1: 12:12pm On Sep 01, 2017 |
DreManuel: Bro, saying Mechanical Engineering is not enough. I did Mech too. But it's about finding a research area or branch of mechanical engineering that you have experience (work or research) or passion in. Then you can reach out to professors that are working in that area. Most times they will be the one to fund you based on the grants they have. And getting funding this way is relatively easier.
But, getting admission into a Mechanical Engineering program can get you partial/full departmental funding such as Merit-based scholarship, fellowships, and TA. But these are very competitive since you will be competing with the entire entering class for the funds.
Anyway, the mistake some of us made in the past was that we only applied to top schools where getting full funding is extremely difficult and only received partial funding. So I suggest you target more of tier 2 schools. If you read the previous pages, you would see some suggestions.
And if you really like research or academics, you can pursue more of PhD applications since they are given preference as per funding.
You may also Google cruchprep. They have something called "Ultimate List of Schools that Accept the GRE score of 300-310", etc They often mention the prospects of getting funding there. And you can have an idea of where you will be competitive for funding based on your profile and scores. Thank you boss, that's a mistake I also made. I have a research area which I'm passionate about and your suggestion about tier 2 schools and PhD funding is spot on because my friends took advantage of that window of opportunity. I will check out crunchprep to add to my list of schools which I have already selected based on ranking, funding, research fit and mode of transcript submission. Thanks once again |

DreManuel: Chief, you sef don enter here? Na so.
Interestingly, US doesn't really care about first class or 2nd class. They usually evaluate your transcripts and GPA. Some even give a higher weight to last two years of your program.
I'm in the mid of something presently. Others can take it up from here. thanks boss, I'm making back up plans for next year, since the admission I got didn't come with funding (although we are still trusting God for PTDF), I just want to know schools with good funding for my course |

I will love to have some sugestions for schools who will likely provide full fund with this profile of mine CGPA: bordeline firstclass TOEFL: 101 course: Mechanical Engineering target degree: MS/PhD GRE: still preparing I believe some of you have more experience than me, so your advice will be highly valued. |

Good day friends, I want to first clarify that I am not yet at purdue university but I was checking to see if anyone on this thread is and am still researching on schools best suited for me. However I will love to inquire if anyone here knows a school ranked within the first 100 (preferably within the first 50) that meet full financial need for masters student. Profile CGPA: borderline firstclass TOEFL: 101 (not high) GRE : not registered but preparing mainly on verbal and AW course: Mechanical Engineering Previous school: well known uni in the south east
pls your contribution will be invaluable (although I am still researching) because I'm about to defer an admission given to me by the university of michigan because of lack of funds |

Cowboy78: I had to go back and reread what DMainMan initially posted to understand what triggered this argument and I still do not understand how some of you interpreted it as Northerners not having first class graduates or the North not having good schools.
He said a program was discontinued because applicants from the South were outperforming those from the North. If you think he's lying, you should say so but even with that he provided links to buttress his point.
Come on guys, we are all applying for advanced degrees which means we should be capable of logical reasoning and what's up with the insults? Can't you disagree with another person without cursing or being obnoxious? May God bless you real good, Cowbell ,sorry Nama male , forgive me Cowboy. PTDF need to come to this thread to see how some of its prospective scholars are expressing themselves |

Ellacity: I have waited patiently and observed some failures or better still inability of some of us to reason through their head or better still deliberately wanna have advantage over others. Honestly speaking, any information feed here is no longer a fair interview because you have added advantage to the people that will be interviewed and they will definitely be better in answering and presenting their proposal than you. I noticed what happened here during MSc CBT exam, some people came here and gregariously wrote what they were asked and that put them at disadvantage. Someone who was privileged to have seen the list of shortlisted masters scholars told me that people that wrote late performed extremely well unlike the early bird, and I know what happened because I was here and I saw how they posted their new words and others capitalised on that and became better than them. My point is that asking for a clue in a game of competition and mostly from your competitor is nonsense, its inhuman, stupidity and arrant nonsense. Some of us here are using our mouth in reasoning instead of our head. Anyways for me, I did mine and it was very fantastic and if you want to know how it went and the questions they asked me, please feel free and write me back from Saturday 29th July, 2017 after the whole exercise then I will be free to share with you but before the exercise then you are a cheat, dishonest human, dubious individual who wanna take advantage of some myopic and intellectually deluded entity in human skin, thinking purely with their psychotic invariance, some mis-match in their faculty of thought with some element of madness vis-a-vis innuendoted personality of highest degraded animal.
Having said that, go for your own interview like I did, come back here and lets share our own experience for the people that will come here next year. This to me I felt its fair and it is consistence with the natural justice, equity and good conscience and its purely acceptable to the extent of its consistency.
I am Dr. ELLACITY stop stop I said stop nawa all this grammar, you have just reminded me of that english section in the msc test. |
