3KINGZ18: hw abt d new ps4 they are about it support 4k
They will support 4K movies and streaming not 4K gaming...it completely different.
This is what we know about the new PS4 It has 8 Jaguar CPU cores clocked at 2.1GHz... Old ps4 has 8 Jaguar Cores clocked at 1.6ghz. New ps4 is 1.3x higher clocks. Research AMD Jaguuar cores they won't match a desktop PC processor. It's a dual core 4 module CPU. Comparing it to the i7-4790 in the 'ideal' spec for Gears of war as above, the i7-4790 is an Intel 4 core, 8 thread CPU clocked at 4.4Ghz. Even AMD's 8 core desktop CPU clocked at 4.2Ghz, the FX8350 won't beat intels i5-4th gen CPU so how can 8 jaguar cores (designed for low-power) do it.
Moving on to the GPU in the new ps4 Neo, it has 36 GCN compute units clocked at 911MHz still made by AMD. It's using the new Polaris architecture which can be found in AMD RX460,RX470 and RX480. The high end Polaris in the RX480 has 36 GCN compute units clocked at 1266MHz when it boosts. Now research on RX480 its a 1080p card and will manage 1440p. It can't deliver 4K which is 2160p with a high refresh rate.
Gaming relies on both the CPU and GPU. For instance, if you have a strong GPU with a weak CPU in a gaming PC the CPU can't process data fast enough for the GPU and the gaming experience will be poorer.
This is what leads me to believe that game developers will use this power to consistently hit 1080p at 60Hz which will improve gameplay and include better graphics and textures instead of 4K where visuals will suffer.
Let's wait till September 7 though, we'll know a lot more. I'm only speculating now.
hakinze00: d 4k console is very possible bro if their common 20th anniversary limited edition console wich had d same specs with normal console den cost above d normal price nd pipo still bought it so dats y are not forcing it on every1,doz wu can afford 4k tvs will surely be able to get it @ least dey said dey will still be supporting d 1080p consoles
The Xbox One S has HDMI 2.0 which enables having the throughput for 4096x2160 at 60Hz and HEVC; x265 encoder/H.265 video codec for 4K content (Netflix 4K movie streaming and similar). Rendering 4K gaming resolution, 8.8million pixels is a completely different story. No console can do that, believe me.
hakinze00: dese are d reasons y deir 4k resolution of a tin, will really after gaming expenses of game lovers, imagine sometin lyk dat is done on a Ps4 or xbox one 4k console, dats means d disc will be costing almost $80-100
No console will be pushing 4K gaming resolutions tho. See the hardware required to do it on PC. the cards alone cost $500, $300 for the processor. Consoles will be unaffordable with that kind of power inside.
hakinze00: Gears Of War 4 PC Specs Revealed Alongside New 4K Gameplay Video The following are the complete specs provided by Microsoft for Gears of War 4 on PC:
I am not into gaming as such but I need a desktop pc that i can use online in some games website and a pc that can take some high end software without parking up: For example, PC with dedicated graphics card, Intel HD graphics of 5000+ nvida 4Ghz processor 1 - 2 tb hard disk etc.
Look, I am not a tech person but I need a desktop pc that can work well on games website stress free.
Thanks in advance
Thanks
Well, if you put it that way. One can build using an Intel Q6600 (quad core CPU) this will be good for multitasking. 4GB RAM and perhaps a GT730. For that money it think it'll have to be a 500GB HDD or one with an AMD A6-6400K processor which is only a dual core and decent integrated graphics (HD 8470D), 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD. These aren't great gaming PC, but should run website based games fine.
Major issue is finding the components in Nigeria or if you can afford to have it shipped from the UK or US.
instinct30: To showcase the importance of a computer in its ongoing PC adoption initiative, tech giant, Intel and its partners have launched a media campaign tagged “With A Computer, You Are Powerful”.
Unveiling the campaign at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Lagos , Intel said that the initiative was borne out of the company’s continued commitment to the socio-economic development of the average Nigerian.
Speaking on the objectives of the campaign, the Marketing and PR Manager for Intel West Africa, Adim Isiakpona said Nigeria is a booming economy with a vast array of talent, wealth, and brain-power and that Intel i http://digitalclique.com.ng/intel-rolls-computer-powerful-campaign/

rawdpiper: #100,000 to #150,000. I'm also looking for where I could get laptops on installment plant either Nigeria or abroad. So with the R7 GPU could I play GTA V at medium or high settings and their popular games like metal gear, COD, Battlefield, far cry, PES 16, FIFA 16 etc.
Jumia sell an Asus Laptop with the GTX 920M for #150k. Checkout purplekayc's thread there a video link to see 920M performance. It performs similar to the R7 mobile series.
Mckandre: I just downloaded and installed MGSV ground zero on my Intel HD laptop and surprisingly it played smoothly,at first I vbin dodging the game silently together with phantom pain considering they re both high spec games; too intimidating for my laptop to bare but unfortunately for me my kid bro downloaded it with just 2.9gb; I can't imagine the game of that caliber could be that small, the installation was fast but the anticipation was short lived when it refused to play,I later downloaded the windows 10 patch. Right now I done finish rescuing chico and paz which I think are the only main missions in the game. Right now na to download phantom pain sharp remain
system preference:
lenovo G40-70 Intel celeron 1.4ghz 64bits 4gb ram(planning on upgrading cos of GTAV) 1Tb HDD intel HD 128mb dedicated vram
not much of a thing but it handles must of my games relatively well
Will have to test this on mine having a Core i3 with similar specs. What kind of setting's have you used? Low? Med? Resolution?
Anyway, thanks for interpreting what you meant by the 980 surpassing the area 51. The vortex is SLI, so is the Area 51 and more. The alienware area 51 not only has a titan X, it has 3. That's 3-SLI of a CPU monstrousity.
Article from 2014, the 18.4 laptop is no longer in production. It comes equipped with a 4TH GEN I7 with slower DDR3 RAM THE AREA 51 has to be configured to have 3 gpus it doesn't come as standard. But you know what YOU WIN...it time to move on. You proved that there's an 18.4 inch alienware.
For a fact the alienware 18 does not out rank the 17 R3, I was merely comparing the level of activity you could get done with a laptop sold for lesser than 4000 dollars and a CPU worth 3999.
I ain't no maga or hording game hardware fanatic so nothing for this life will make me shell 4grand to buy a vortex CPU.
I've been trying to verify ur claim that a titan X is not more than a 980
No you are just been silly. You can't man up and admit there isn't an 18 inch Alienware...it doesn't exist. What exists is a model called Alienware 18 that has a 17.3 inch screen.
Read my previous comment..I clearly stated I won't advise any one to buy these overpriced PCs
If you don't know what the term GTX 980 in SLI IS it MEANS HAVING TWO GPUs in one system. That's what the Vortex has. I CLEARLY STATED THAT THE TITAN X DOESNT BEAT TWO GTX 980's or GTX 980 in SLI.
Your ignorance is sickening. Plus you attach a link to an article about 10 Best gaming PC's and guess what the MSI Vortex is number 1...you are really dumb!
MrEverything: So no system can play those games on medium or low?...someone else should also recommend biko
The Asus laptop with the GTX920M will play those games low-medium setting on most recent titles. Setting differ from game to game as they all have different game engines.
Titan X (maxwell architecture) doesn't beat 2x GTX 980..not in this life time bro.. one GTX 980 Ti will give the Titan X a run for it's money
It's what floats your boat, some people pay $4000 for a Mac Pro with 2013 components all in the name of Media creation. I won't encourage anyone to buy these overpriced PC's
Silkmoth33: Guy! From what I was seeing, you must really be joking!
The area 51 and this thing no be mates.
The 18inch alienware laptop sef go dust this cylindric dustbin.
What else do you have? And ho much is the vortex cpu?
Quoting the Alienware laptop, the top spec having a GTX 980M ...M(mobile gpu)...not a full blown GPU vs 2x Full blown GTX 980 GPU's in the Vortex clearly shows you need to be schooled.
MrEverything: Nawa for una sef I asked for recommendations on gaming laptop I can get for 150k brand new in Nigeria that'll play new games like assassins creed syndicate,GTA v,the batman arkharm games and battlefield, yet no answered me please na somebody should help me it's only 150k I have I don't want to go and buy rubbish
