The R9 290 is a cut down version of the R9 290X. The 290 has 256 less compute units than the R9 290X (2816 vs 2560 compute units) and the reference R9 290 is clocked at 947Mhz. What we have here is an overclocked edition by ASUS sporting a clock of 1000Mhz on the Core and 1260Mhz on the memory. So how will this perform compared with the others?

just be prepare to save as hell if you are to get a gaming pc,i advise you to go with d ps4 atleast it still have the console life of 4yrs or more compared to a gaming pc which requires upgrade of hardware almost every year.the money alone used to set up a gaming pc can be used to buy a land so rethink man #ps4alltheway

Upgrade every year!? It's a gaming laptop , the most he'd possibly upgrade is the RAM and that doesn't need changing annually

I found an exceptional deal to get the renowned Silverstone FT03-Mini(including a SFX 450W 80+Gold PSU and a slot-loading CD Drive) and will be downscaling from a full ATX case to a Mini-ITX case. The plan is to harvest the CPU, RAM and a case fan from my monster build and sell off the remaining components to raise funds to buy a Mini-ITX motherboard only. So watch this space!

I like the Silverstone FT03-Mini for it's footprint and how the airflow is designed. Heat naturally rises; with the intake fan at the bottom of the case, it aids the natural movement of heat.

The RX480 is a successor to the R9 380 though...the successor of the 390/390X or perhaps the Fury/Fury X is coming..I'm excited about that

The file isn't corrupt. The game doesn't need installation rather it's activation and I don't trust the activator. It's bit shady. It's a 'silent' installer and requires you sign into Steam to activate the games. Sounds like it carrying some malicious software.
I saw the DLauncher as well.

For the target market, the RX480 is a no-brainer! When the 290X was released it cost $550 now the RX480 has about the same performance and is under $200 for the reference. It's incredible. Can't wait to see the performance of the 390x successor.

Read the 'readme' installation file and it seemed strange. Went back on oceanofgames and realised all comments were deleted but the mods comment weren't. It seems fishy...I deleted it don't install that game.

Here's what you need to know about the power supply connector.

24-pin (20+4 pin) - this is required to supply power to your motherboard. This can be split if your motherboard only has a 20-pin ATX.
8-pin (4+4 pin) - supplies power for the CPU. This can be split if your motherboard only has a 4-pin CPU power connector
8-pin PCIe (6+2 PCIe) - supplies power to the graphics card. This can be split if your graphics card only has 6 pin. Most PSU's will ship with 2x 8Pin as some graphic cards require 1x 8pin+ 1x6-pin or 2x 6-pin
SATA connector - to power your 2.5" SSD/HDD or 3.5" HDD and CD/DVD/Bluray drive.
Molex connector - powers peripherals like case fans, fan controller, in some cases with an adapter, the graphics card.

Don't attempt to connect the 8-pin PCIe to the motherboard, it can damage your system.

It difficult to say which does because there so many different PC configurations. Form low-end to enthusiast builds.
My graphic cards core temperature can reach 93 degrees Celsius on air, that's almost the boiling point of water lol. With two of them in my case, I can heat up my room in 30-45mins.

The first 4K gaming graphic cards for PC came out late 2012 but there weren't any 4K monitors then. Soon after most AAA titles supported that resolution. PC gaming is another league, don't underestimate it o. You just need to search for 4K PC gaming on YouTube to find out for yourself.
IMO, the PS4 Neo/XBox one Scorpio won't manage 4K are reasonable framerates. It will be upscaled, not drive 4K natively. Currently one needs the likes of a GTX980ti or R9 Fury X to drive 4K gaming on PC, these are $500 graphic cards. To make consoles affordable, they can't strap such power in a console. Plus there's heat dissipation to worry about...the console will melt lol. If they manage to drive 4K natively, image quality will suffer seriously.
