Just use your SS1 to SS3 results and upload. That should serve as your secondary school transcript.
CampusCastle:
Thank you.

Yes, I'm applying for an undergraduate degree.

Do secondary Schools give academic transcript? I have never heard of it before. I thought it's only tertiary institutions that provide transcripts.
I'm guessing that will be hard to get o

Is there any alternative

I think your sponsor needs to have a substantial amount as closing balance because that is very important. You should be thinking of millions of naira as closing balance because the final amount in the account is very important as it is the ''show money'' the Visa officer needs to see.
Biot34:
My sponsor has 430k as closing balance But there is Inflow and outflow of 70m: Can I used it

Thank you so much. Will definitely give this a consideration.
guzenaira:
Hello AkeemTy,

From my vantage point, the best is for you to apply together. It’s faster, alittle cheaper and less stressful and most times comes with an approval but it’s very demanding.

I read your profile above and it’s fantastic that there is no accompanying children which makes it alittle better.

My advice; Make sure you have full tuition and 1st year living expenses for you and your wife in you account. (14k cad) + full tuition.

Make sure your sponsor is a direct family member, your dad like you said is fantastic. Make him write a committing Sponsorship letter and Afidavit.

Make sure you submit your business papers and try to hype your business in your SOP.

Make sure you add your personal asset to your application.

Make sure you let the VO know the provision you made on who will handle your business on your behalf before you Come back.

Once you are granted, they will definitely grant your wife as well. Western world take marriage or family seriously and they don’t want to put separation because they know the consequences of the law they created themselves.

Finally, like sillysassysally will say, you need to sit down and write a badging SOP if truly you really mean your wife should be with you. I love your courage and I pray it works out well.

In your wife’s application, she doesn’t have much to say. Her SOA is an option in the application, marriage certificate, photos and her SOP stating why she’s following you and the importance of she being with you but don’t ever mention that you guys haven’t given birth in the application. That’s all she needs. It doesn’t matter if she’s working or not.

But if you can’t do the above, submit your application, once you get an approval then apply for her but it’s a 50 50 stuff.

Nevertheless, you can visit the spouse open work permit thread SOWP for more information.

https://www.nairaland.com/2271485/canada-spouse-open-work-permit

Pls apply early.

Thank you for your feedback. I do have a business I can include in my application but the financial standing of the business is not so great. In terms of sponsorship, it will be self and co-sponsor (father) as his business is buoyant financially. It will be hard to leave my wife behind because she is not a Nigerian and does not have anyone here to look after her. I am hoping strongly my application scales through when the time comes. Thanks once again.
Qudkom:
It's good you are asking questions and making plans. However, every application is unique in terms of content and perception in the eye of a Visa officer. With the information you've provided my advice/comment will be;

1. Your wife seems to be the only factor that csn compel you to return, and the fact that you'll be going with her may weaken your home ties. Non the less applicants have scalled through in the past.

2. The fact that you require financial aid as a Married man may put a VO off and not only weaken your financial stance but also further prove to the vo of the probably of you departing Canada at the end of your studies.

Nothing is impossible it's just a matter of chances, luck and how you package your application. If you have assets, Business etc that can compel you to return you can mention for further advice. Also you need to research on your proposed program.

Hey folks,

I will be glad if someone can advice me on this. I intend applying for a masters program in eHealth, September, 2020 intake and in a few weeks the admission process starts. I am married with no kids and certainly will be taking my wife along when the time comes but I am concerned about the best approach to take. I read there are two ways one can go about this:

1. You can apply to get the study permit first, then later your spouse can apply to come join you.

2. You can do joint application, which means both can go at the same time.

In my situation, the only possible way for me is to do a joint application as I can't leave without my wife.

So for those that have gone through this process, what is the best option you advice especially as it concerns applicants coming from Nigeria who usually have a high visa application scrutiny and high denial rates?

Also I will like to ask if it is possible that my co-sponsor (father) can also act as a sponsor for my spouse since I will be doing a joint application?

Please I will be glad to get suggestions and feedback on these issues I raised.

Thank you very much.

Please did anybody write at Ogun State, I just called to confirm those who were called for interview are the ones that scored 70% and above.

I fell short of 7% from the cut of mark.

I'm quite disappointed with myself although I tried so much even with my little knowledge of questions that was asked about Ogun State especially on the local governments areas and senatorial constituency questions.

Great men and women, I heard this year's recruitment will be 10 per state as a result of the mass retirement of officers, does anyone has a contrary view? Some states are already conducting interviews and with the look of things, Camp might be March or April
Do you have an idea the sought of questions they ask during the interview process?

Check your application page for your admission status and see if you can initiate clearance process.

I was referring to the other guy who applied for computer science. I saw the advice you gave him.

But then, why haven't you gotten a recommendation mail yourself ? Are you sure your colleagues haven't been recommended.?
No they haven't. We keep s group contact. So I am following things up and I am far away from Ibadan that is why I can't go to PG school to know what is wrong.

Good morning everyone! Just want to ask if anyone has gotten a mail from pgschool concerning COMPUTER SCIENCE*....I went to d dept. yesterday; & I was told dat my name has bin shortlisted & sent to pgschool*......
Though I am not a Computer Science applicant, someone earlier on this thread said he has gotten a recommendation mail but that was possible when he went to PG school to check, his name was shortlisted and the staff there immediately sent him a recommendation mail. I think you should do same.

i just got cleared this morning around nine. it was so fast. when u re cleared the next thing is to print out school fees invoice. I tried mine but it is not opening yet. a guy at the Pg internet room told me to get #120,000 ready(English). but what he doesn't know is if it will be paid in installments or full. secondly that of accommodation has to be applied for separately (I think that is after u be paid school fees am still not clear.) finally if you have a problem with ur certificate or anything go to the department and sort itself out pls, but if you do not have any problem be patient na turn by turn we go matriculate together no worry.
What course did you apply for Sherilah?

Just got my recommendation mail. wink

It was indeed a tough journey embarassed but all the same interesting. cheesy

To those waiting at home for recommendation letter, you might be making a huge mistake sad. Please take a bold step to find out what is delaying your admission sad. I was also relaxing all these while waiting for UI to send me a mail.

I was about losing hope when I took the step angry to find out what was wrong at the pgschool and my department but lo and behold, my name was lying fallow on the merit list shocked and I didn't hear anything all these while.

Even if you are living afar, travel down, don't send someone on your behalf, go to your department, go to pgschool, ask questions!

I wish us all the best.
That is great bruv.
Please what course did you apply for?
Are you still at Ibadan at the moment?

Am also for Hpm and have not gotten any mail..sorry to ask,but how comes you wrote 1st week of December cause I did both written and oral last week of November..just don't want to be left out
Sorry I forgot the date smiley, we did the oral interview 26th November, 2015.
I did call the HOD few days ago and he told me list of recommended applicants has been sent to PG school but due to a strike currently on, the PG school has not made any decision. What I thought was once someone is recommended, the department sends one a message but I was worried why I haven't gotten such, but since you also have same situation, it means it is a general thing. I'm hoping PG school do the needful soon so we could know our fate. In the meantime, i am trying to get contacts of the applicants in the department so we could make contact and always inform ourselves when anyone gets a recommendation.
Please send me a mail because I have two other contacts on my list and we have been communicating quite well, akeemaths@gmail.com

Good Day folks,
Please is there any applicant here for Public Health with Health Policy and Management who has done the oral interview by the department and has gotten a recommendation mail or text message?

Since I did the interview 26th November, 2015, i haven't gotten a recommendation and the few people I was able to contact in my department that applied for same course said they haven't either. I just want to be sure everything is okay or if it affects everyone too?

Will be glad to get a response to the questions I asked.

Thanks.
