your school is supposed to give you an introduction letter for the Co-op work permit. Write to your school to give you that letter, that is what you will upload.
ucystan:
I dont even understand this IRCC people. I got a Request letter on my portal yesterday asking me to upload my official work permit receipt when I didn't apply for a work permit. What I applied for is a study permit, I also indicated that my study has a co-op (last time I checked applicants don't pay for co-op work permit). I also applied alone. So where could this be coming from??

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by AkeemTy(m): 8:37am On Aug 19, 2022
Better you go do medical upfront to save time on your application. Do the upfront and upload the e-medical form you will be given after the medicals is conducted.
Alukoholumidey:

folks if you want to check cheap flights, use Google flights to check for cheap flights but to book, you may require a dollar card so as to pay some of the third party sites Google flight website will link you to.

The Nigerian Police Force has launched a new digital system for obtaining a Police Character Certificate and other services. I like how they are making the process seamless

call them on phone to rebook your appointment, rebooking online does not work sometimes.
RelaxingEnd:
Hello, guys.

I missed my biometrics appointment due to heavy traffic which made me arrive 20 mins after the time and I wasn't allowed in. I'm trying to reschedule another appointment for tomorrow and it's saying I can't reschedule on appointment date.
Is there any way I can book another appointment today for tomorrow? And is there any consequences for missing an appointment?

Get a dollar card from any of the Nigerian banks, deposit Dollar into the account and use it for payment.

Good day everyone

I got admission to dalhousie university.
I'm finding it difficult to pay my $200 admission fee deposit.
I used WU and it's almost 3 days now it has not reflected.

you may not get your study permit before your classes resume considering you applied quite late. Takes about 12 weeks minimum to process the study permit. The best advice is to contact the school that you applied for study permit late and what other options are available to you. If they offer deferrals.

We just concluded our Jumat Service in our Mosque and my mind keep on telling me to post the following here so that I can later refer to it to testify to the Power of the Almighty Allah:

Timeline
Upfront medical = July 19, 2022
Application submitted with the upfront medical = August 2, 2022
Biometric done and updated immidietly = August 4, 2022

My program starts on September 8, 2022 and In Sha Allah, my family and I will get our PPRs before the day despite that it is already close. Amin yah Allah.

Thank goodness Naira is strengthening against the US dollar. At least the cost of flight tickets will drop down a bit. I don't know if banks will be faster in approving Tuition payments abroad when one applies through the CBN trade system platform.

I uploaded my upfront medical sheet yesterday through the web form and I am happy it is being reviewed when I checked back in this morning.

Praying earnestly my eligibility starts soon as that is yet to begin and classes resumes on 6th September 2022.

Thank you for the response

Hi AkeemTym,

Most applications from Nigeria are processed in Nairobi, Kenya. Please use the link below to submit your e-medical sheet.

A response to this will be appreciated
AkeemTy:
hello folks, I did my upfront medicals today and would like to upload the e-medicals sheet. But i am confused as to the Visa office responsible for processing applications from Nigeria. On the webform, I am seeing that Lagos, Nigeria is part of the visa processing centre and also other African cities. How do I know which to direct my enquiries to since I am an applicant from Nigeria?

feedback will be appreciated.

Okay, but have you confirmed if your first medicals is still valid? Although this is my first time applying, I don't really know the validity period of the medicals.
Gilb231:
I will book online medicals right away. It’s my second time applying so I just figured my medicals are still valid for a year. The results are from November. I will book again to avoid being caught out. We will testify very soon IJN !

same situation as you although I applied for a study permit on 7th June 2022. I will go do the upfront medicals on 3rd August 2022 so nothing disrupts my chances of resuming classes on the 6th September if eventually my study permit is approved. The school I applied to does not do deferrals and i must resume for the first day of classes. So timing is running out on me. I will suggest you book upfront medicals also within this week as spaces can run out fast.
Gilb231:
Hello Nairalanders,

Please your input would be appreciated. I applied for fall term and my resumption date is September 6, 2022. I applied for my visa on June 13, 2022. Till now my eligibility has not started, would it be a good idea to defer my admission to winter term while I wait for IRCC to make a decision ? Or just wait it out, the 12 weeks processing time will probably be up by the end of the month or spill into September .

Thank you.

One way flight tickets to Canada have gone off the roof.

Things are not looking so good.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by AkeemTy(m): 1:56pm On Jul 30, 2022
those resuming September, please try to book your upfront medicals, the only available date in the month of August is 31st.

I was just relaxing thinking I should wait till I am instructed to go for medicals but looking at things, decisions on the study permit application made in June may not come until the middle or end of August and booking a medical then may require one scheduling an appointment by end of September.

I needed to put proper documentation and funds together that is why I submitted my application in June
CharitoJames:
You didn’t submit on time so don’t say it’s taking forever. On the site it says 12weeks so don’t use forever. A lot of September resumption got approved since April and May even... na you no apply on time
