Some disgruntled voices have been calling for the resignation of Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) President, Musa Ahmed Kida. But a closer look at the facts and the federation’s constitution raises a compelling question... Is this call for exit really justified? The NBBF constitution clearly outlines the tenure of its president. If leadership is only determined by the tenure prescribed, except in cases like death or proven constitutional breaches, then why the sudden demand for Kida’s resignation? Is the federation suddenly “tenure-less,” or are these calls simply impatience dressed as concern? Kida’s tenure, by all observable measures, has been productive. Under his leadership, Nigerian basketball has gained visibility on the international stage, structural reforms have been implemented, and young talents have found pathways to develop professionally. If his performance is not in serious question, why not let the democratic process take its course? Why call for his exit before the next election, when the ballot would ultimately decide his mandate? And there’s the constitutional question of term limits. Does the NBBF constitution permit a third term or not? If it does, why cry wolf? If it doesn’t, then the rules themselves provide a natural timeline for transition. Premature agitation risks undermining not just Kida, but the stability and credibility of the federation itself. Beyond basketball, Kida’s leadership footprint extends into national sports development. He currently serves as Chairman of the National Institute for Sports (NIS) 10-Year Implementation Committee and holds key responsibilities within the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). Kida's experience in managing complex institutions brings a level of professionalism and strategic oversight rare in sports administration. The debate, therefore, should not be about personalities or impatience. It should be about process, performance, and adherence to the rules. Democracy in sports governance is not measured by noise or clamor, but by constitutional respect and structured engagement. If the NBBF constitution governs tenure, then it must be respected. If elections determine leadership continuity, then stakeholders should prepare for the ballot, not agitation. Until then, Musa Ahmed Kida’s leadership remains both legitimate and defensible. |
Edo State Stands Firm as Court Weighs Ownership Claims of Radisson Blu Hotel, Benin By Comrade Robinson Akhenoba In what has become a defining legal battle over one of Edo State’s most strategic investments, the Edo State Government has once again drawn a clear line in the sand over the ownership of the Radisson Blu Hotel project in Benin City, declaring, without equivocation, that the property belongs to the people of Edo State. The case, instituted under the Fundamental Rights (Enforcement Procedure) Rules, 2009, pursuant to the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), pits Tilbury Nigeria Limited as applicant against the Edo State Government, the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, the Secretary to the State Government, the Clerk of the Edo State House of Assembly, and the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly. Presiding over the matter is Hon. Justice E. O. Ahamioje of the Edo State High Court, Civil Court 4. The question is, who truly owns the Radisson Blu Hotel under construction in Benin City? A project that symbolizes not just hospitality development, but public investment, accountability, and trust. Following the court sitting on Monday January 19th, 2026, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Edo State, Prof. Roland Itoyah Otaru, SAN, PhD, who is lead counsel to the 1st–5th respondents, made the position of the Edo State Government unmistakably clear. According to him, the applicant filed an application which the State promptly responded to with a counter affidavit, firmly asserting that the property under litigation belongs to the Edo State Government. “The property and the subject matter under litigation belongs to the Edo State Government,” Prof. Roland stated. “Nobody, no agency, no corporation will be allowed to claim what rightfully belongs to the people of Edo State.” The Radisson Hotel project, he recalled, was purchased by the Edo State Government in 2021. However, Tilbury Nigeria Limited is now alleging that it acquired 80% equity in the project, an assertion the State Government maintains is unknown, unsupported, and unrecognised by it. Even more striking, the applicant is claiming that Edo State does not hold up to 20% equity in a project it fully purchased and has consistently financed. The dispute also brings to the fore lingering public concerns over the project’s equity structure. There have been allegations of financial malfeasance and questions surrounding claims that about 25 billion was sourced from the stock market for the Radisson project, yet the State is allegedly left with just 20% equity, while a private entity is said to control 80%. Despite this, the Edo State Government is reportedly servicing an Irrevocable Standing Payment Order (ISPO) of about 385 million monthly for the project, an obligation that underscores the State’s financial commitment and stake in the hotel. To many observers, this contradiction alone strengthens the moral and legal argument of the State: that a government which shoulders the financial burden of a project cannot be pushed aside by opaque claims of ownership. Addressing the legal technicalities, Prof. Roland explained that the rules of court are explicit. Once a respondent files a counterclaim, it becomes a distinct and separate action. “The issue of whether it is a fundamental human rights application or not does not really matter,” he clarified. “Once you have filed a counterclaim, it stands on its own. That is the language of the rules, and that is exactly what we have done.” The Edo State Government’s counterclaim squarely asks the court to affirm what it insists is already clear: that the Radisson Blu Hotel project is the property of the Edo State Government. With the applicant seeking time to respond, the court adjourned the matter to February 10, 2026, for hearing. A Test of Governance and Public Trust Beyond the legal arguments, this case has become a test of governance, transparency, and the protection of public assets. For the Edo State Government and its legal team, led by Prof. Roland Itoyah Otaru, SAN, the matter is about defending the collective interest of Edo people and ensuring that strategic public investments are not quietly appropriated. As the legal fireworks continue, many members of the public are watching with growing admiration for the firm, confident stance taken by the Edo State Government. There is widespread expectation that the court process will ultimately reaffirm the State’s full ownership of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Benin City, restoring clarity, confidence, and public trust. Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is One Woman Who Carries Our Nation in Her Heart By Comrade Robinson Akhenoba There are times in the life of a nation when silence becomes a sin and speaking out becomes a duty to God, country, and conscience. This is one of such moments. Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan has risen beyond the narrow definition of representation. She has become a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the truest sense, not limited by geography, party lines, or political convenience. In an era where many measure leadership by slogans and social media noise, she measures hers by lives touched, communities lifted, and hope restored. I may not be in the same political party with her. I may not support or fully understand the feud between her and the Senate leadership. But I will never allow party loyalty or emotional disagreements to override my conscience. And my conscience tells me this clearly: Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan genuinely means well for Nigeria. Each time I see her projects across states far beyond her constituency, goosebumps run through my veins. One begins to wonder, is this a senator, a federal minister, or has President Bola Ahmed Tinubu quietly handed her a special national development mandate? From Akoko-Edo to Kogi, from Ondo to Kwara, from Zaria to other forgotten communities, Senator Natasha has refused to ask, “Is this my constituency?” Instead, she asks, “Are these Nigerians?” She constructed and facilitated the road linking Akoko-Edo to her hometown, easing hardship for farmers, traders, students, and pregnant women who once risked their lives on impassable paths. Even more humbling is the fact that in the very month of her suspension, when many would retreat into silence or bitterness, Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan chose compassion over conflict. In that single month, she empowered 230 women and youths, distributing 80 DJI drones, 5 HP laptops, and 50 renewable energy and advanced fabrication tools to prepare young Nigerians for the future. She facilitated the delivery of an NLNG–General Electric Computed Tomography (CT) Machine to the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, strengthening healthcare delivery and saving lives. Her empowerment efforts extended further, electric solar tree cycles, deep freezers, gas cookers, grinding machines, sewing machines, and fish ponds were distributed to constituents to restore livelihoods and hope. She constructed the NAU Mentality Centre, executed water and streetlight projects in the Ebira community, and built two modern brown markets housing 80 shops, complete with electricity and toilets in Okene/Okehi Local Government Area, reviving local commerce. Her compassion reached even the most neglected communities. She built a new brown primary and secondary school with teachers’ quarters, equipped with water and electricity, in the Fulani settlement of Osaka, Abobo, in Odavi Local Government Area. She delivered 14 solar-reticulated water systems with 50,000-litre capacity, installed 2,000 smart solar streetlights, and provided eight new 500kVA transformers, restoring light, water, and dignity to communities long forgotten. In the area of security and safety, she constructed a police housing quarter, a police station, and provided a police van and speed bikes, strengthening community policing and security response. Beyond infrastructure, she empowered over 2,000 constituents with life-transforming tools, proving once again that her leadership is not seasonal, emotional, or selective, it is consistent, intentional, and deeply human. She commissioned a 2,000-seat ultra-modern auditorium, creating a space for learning, culture, conferences, and unity. She laid a 500-seat multipurpose hall, giving youths and communities a place to gather, dream, and plan a better future. She provided 10 staff quarters, restoring dignity to public service and ensuring stability for workers. She installed over 300 solar-powered streetlights, chasing darkness away and returning safety to roads and neighbourhoods that once slept in fear. And she delivered a 50,000-litre solar-powered water system, all these to Federal Government College, Idoani, the school that shaped her character, an emotional gesture of gratitude, loyalty, and remembrance. She understands that one must never forget where they were moulded. She facilitated classroom renovations, educational materials, and learning support across schools. She empowered women and youths with skills acquisition programmes, tools, and start-up support, restoring dignity to families who had lost hope. She supported health interventions, medical outreaches, and community support initiatives where government presence had long faded. She didn't stop there: She built 6 duplexes for her legislative aides, treating those who serve with her not as expendable political tools but as human beings deserving comfort, respect, and stability. This is not the behaviour of a selfish politician. This is the heart of a nation builder. If anyone sees these sacrifices and refuses to celebrate Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan at this time, such people do not wish Nigeria well. They are afraid of progress. They are uncomfortable with sincerity. They resent light because it exposes darkness. God Himself will never prosper those who stand against genuine development and selfless service. This is why I appeal, from the depth of my heart, to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu: please embrace Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan. Nigeria needs bridge-builders, not bridge-burners. We need doers, not destroyers. Draw her closer. Strengthen her hands. Protect her passion. I also appeal to Senate President Godswill Akpabio: let peace reign. Drop the charges. Lower the temperature. History will not ask who won a political feud; it will ask who stood for Nigeria when it mattered most. Senator Natasha is not an enemy, she is an asset. This is not about the next election. This is about the next generation. Those who truly mean well for Nigeria, irrespective of party or background, must be embraced as fellow patriots. As members of the APC and lovers of Nigeria, we would rather pray to have Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan fully restored, unhindered, and focused in the Senate, than to recycle leadership that offers no vision, no compassion, and no hope. Senator Natasha, you are a strong woman. A rare soul in public office. You're the flag of courage to young girls who now dare to dream beyond limitations. Nigerians love you, even in places you have never visited, your name is spoken with respect. Please keep doing what you are doing. Keep lifting others. Keep choosing service over ego. But as you do, let peace reign. Look up to God for wisdom, strength, and direction, for He alone rewards sincerity of heart. Nigeria sees you, history will remember you and posterity will honour you. Thank you, Senator Natasha H Akpoti Uduaghan. Comrade Robinson Akhenoba, Writer and Publisher The Political Evangelist

The management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has strongly condemned a petition circulating on social media alleging that the Edo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Roland Otaru SAN, fraudulently obtained a professorial title from the institution. In a statement on Wednesday, the institution described the publication title "A Call to Probe Roland Otaru's mystery Professor of Law title" and credited to a certain Comrade K. Akanbi S.A.L is malicious, baseless and authored by an unknown individual with no link to FUOYE. FUOYE said the insinuations suggesting that Dr. Otaru was conferred with a "Professor of Law title" were entirely misleading, emphasizing that no such title was ever issued by the institution. "The write-up is a fabrication driven by personal interest and aimed at tarnishing the image of Roland Otaru and FUOYE, " the statement read, "the claims are not only spiteful, but unfounded." Setting the records straight, FUOYE clarified that Dr. Otaru was appointed Professor of practice, not professor of law after meeting all requests established by the university. His appointment was approved on December 9, 2024, as part of FUOYE's policies to bring seasoned legal practitioners into academia to enrich the Faculty of Law. Fuoye added that Dr. Otaru was appointed alongside three other eminent Senior Advocates of Nigeria, namely; Prof. Doyin Awoyale, SAN, Prof. Sebastine T. Hon, SAN, Prof Lawrence Fubara Anga, SAN." This distinguished individuals were engaged as professors of practice to contribute.

Donald Osikhena-Boih, led members of his team on a courtesy visit to the office of the Chief Judge of Edo State, Hon. Justice Daniel Iyobosa Okungbowa, at the High Court Complex, Benin City. Edo Law Reform Commission Sets Bold Template After Strategic National Tour By Comrade Robinson Akhenoba The Edo State Law Reform Commission, under the leadership of Barr. Donald Osikhena-Boih, has taken a major step toward reshaping the future of Edo’s legal framework. The commission, earlier today, held its second official meeting at its Benin office after successfully completing a high-level benchmarking tour of Lagos, Enugu and Kano States. The tour was aimed at studying how other states have modernized their legal systems for the benefit of their citizens. The commission member were strategically divided into three groups to understudy different models and legal systems across the visited states. In a remarkable show of commitment, the chairman, Barr. Donald Osikhena-Boih, also participated with each group at different periods to personally observe and compare best practices. After extensive engagements with legal experts, government agencies and reform institutions in the three states, the Edo Law Reform Commission has now reached a decisive conclusion on the modus operandi for overhauling Edo’s laws. This bold step positions Edo State for a transformative legal overhaul designed to make justice more efficient, equitable and responsive to modern realities. With a team of experienced legal professionals and a chairman renowned for astute leadership, Edo has every reason to be optimistic. The citizens can look forward to a legal system that protects their rights, encourages economic growth and places the state at the forefront of progressive governance in Nigeria. The work of the commission signals a new era that Edo is risen for a better, smarter and more people-driven legal system in the State. BEWARE OF FORGED PETITION, NO STUDENT NAMED “K. AKANBI” EXISTS IN FUOYE LAW FACULTY The attention of the public has been drawn to a widely circulated petition purportedly written by one “Comrade K. Akanbi (S.A.L)” on behalf of the so-called Concerned Law Students of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti. The document claims to challenge the academic integrity of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Edo State, Prof. Roland Itoyah Otaru SAN, PhD. After serious scrutiny, it has become evident that the petition is nothing more than a manufactured falsehood built on a non-existent identity and a desperate political agenda. At the centre of this falsehood is a name that has no trace in the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) admission records, students’ register, law faculty database, or student union associations. There is no student known as Comrade K. Akanbi in the Faculty of Law or anywhere within the institution. The name does not exist and has never existed in FUOYE. The signature is fake, the office claimed is fake, and the personality behind it is nothing but a shadow created by those who see the intellectual accomplishments and rising public influence of Prof. Roland Itoyah Otaru SAN, PhD as a threat to their already failed and hopeless political calculations. The authors of this falsehood did not stop at forgery; they dragged an institution into a battle it knows nothing about. They attempted to exploit the name of a respected federal university to malign a man whose academic contributions they cannot match. It takes a special level of fear for anyone to forge a student who never existed, create a leadership title that was never held, and impersonate an entire faculty in order to fight an invisible war against a man whose books, research works, and public service have already made him a national asset. The public must note that the Federal University Oye-Ekiti is currently investigating the individuals behind this false petition. Officials of the institution have confirmed that a statement will be issued soon to expose those responsible for this forged identity and defamatory stunt. No student body authorized the letter, and no credible academic organ in FUOYE has questioned the professorial rank of Prof. Roland Otaru SAN, PhD. The petition is a baseless attack engineered outside the school, using the name of a student who does not exist. This act of impersonation is not only shameful; it is criminal. It is driven by a group unsettled by the fact that Prof. Roland Itoyah Otaru SAN, PhD has become a towering figure in legal scholarship and public governance. His appointment as Edo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice was made on competence and capacity, not desperation or manipulation. Those sponsoring this baseless smear fear leadership that cannot be bought, and scholarship that cannot be belittled. The public is hereby cautioned to ignore the false narrative being spread by faceless individuals who lack both academic integrity and personal identity. Any campaign that must rely on a fake name to survive has already collapsed. Truth is never scared of its own identity; only lies hide behind masks. Until the university releases its official statement, the public is urged to treat the said petition as a fraud, a forgery, and a cowardly attack on scholarship and public excellence. Prof. Roland Itoyah Otaru SAN, PhD does not compete with shadows. His works, his service, and his impact speak for him. No falsehood can overtake truth, and no forged name can erase a legacy built on knowledge. Comrade Robinson Akhenoba,. writer and publisher, The Political Evangelist

Kicking Dreams Beyond Borders By Comrade Robinson Akhenoba When Pastor Harry Eboigbe, a visionary Edo-born entrepreneur based in Bielefeld, Germany, launched FC DELTRA in 2018, little did the football world know that this ambitious club would soon become a springboard for Nigerian youth to conquer the global stage. With a dual presence in Germany and Nigeria, FC DELTRA's mission is clear: scout, nurture, and export African football talents to the world. From its humble beginnings in Germany with African players, FC DELTRA expanded its reach to Nigeria in 2020, with the aim of nurturing local talents. The Nigerian team played its first match in 2021 and quickly made its mark in the Nationwide League division. Through determination and hard work, the team gained promotion to Nationwide League One. Despite facing setbacks, including a surprising knockout in the playoffs, FC DELTRA persevered. Last year, the team showcased its prowess in the qualifications matches in Delta State, winning eight out of nine matches. This year, with a fresh batch of young talents, the team dove head-first into Nationwide League One, playing with grit and determination. Their recent match against Bendel Insurance Feeders was a test of mettle – though they lost 2-0, the young players showed remarkable spirit. Having wrapped up its Nationwide League One campaign, now their sights are firmly set on the Dana Cup tournament in Denmark, where they'll put their skills to the ultimate test. Under the guidance of Coach Robinson Akhenoba, FC DELTRA's team manager, these young players are gaining invaluable experience. Pastor Harry Eboigbe's commitment to promoting football talents knows no bounds, and with FC DELTRA's eyes fixed on Denmark, the future looks sure for these young athletes. Though, the journey may be long, but with Pastor Harry Eboigbe's vision and Coach Robinson's expertise, the sky is the starting point. Philip Shaibu Joins Forces with APC Leaders in Ondo State ...as a boost to deliver Aiyedatiwa's Governorship Bid By Comrade Robinson Akhenoba In a show of strength and solidarity, the two term Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt, Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, joined forces with Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC Governors, Senators, Honorable members, and party leaders at the Democracy Park in Akure, Ondo State. This is a clear indication of the party's commitment to delivering Ondo State to His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the APC gubernatorial candidate. Shaibu, who is fondly known as the "Ofoneee Captain," is not alone in this strategic move. He is with his father figure, Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole. The presence of these two influential political gladiators from Edo State is a strong message to the people of Ondo State. It is surfix to say, "it is finished for PDP in Ondo, just as it is completely finished in Edo". This alliance is poised to seal the fate of the PDP in the Saturday elections. Shaibu has consistently demonstrated his ability to navigate complex political situations like this. His impressive track record includes serving as Deputy Governor of Edo State, Member of the House of Representatives, and Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly. With his expertise and influence, Shaibu has cemented his reputation as a winner of battles. The APC's confidence in Aiyedatiwa's candidacy has been bolstered by Shaibu's endorsement. As Ondo people prepare to head to the polls, this powerful alliance is likely to have a significant impact on the outcome of the governorship election. Oshiomohle and Shaibu's influence is more than enough to secure victory for Aiyedatiwa. Comrade Robinson Akhenoba, writer and publisher of The Political Evangelist writes from Akure.

Shaibu Shines, as Edo PDP Seethes in Unholy Anger By Comrade Robinson Akhenoba In the spirit of the Salah celebration, Philip Shaibu, a shining star in Edo State, returned to his hometown of Jattu-Uzairue, Etsako West Local Government Area, to join his people in the festivities. Shaibu's love for his community was truly evident in his actions as against media propaganda. Despite the Edo PDP's plans to suspend him from the party, Shaibu was welcomed with open arms by the community and party leaders. Shaibu's kindness and generosity had earned him a special place in the hearts of his people. As he arrived at his residence, a sea of people gathered to celebrate with him. The youth, women, and men of the community all benefited from Shaibu's financial gestures, which brought smiles to their faces. "Wealth they say is not about having a lot of money; it's about having a lot of options." Shaibu's gesture again, gave his people options and hope. The Women on the Move, a social organization champion by Her Excellency, Comrade Mrs. Maryann Philip-Shaibu, were overjoyed, chanting and singing in Etsako language. Their songs were the real evidence to the power of community and the impact of Shaibu's kindness. "The voice of the people is the voice of God," and the people have spoken in one voice loud and clear. As Shaibu engaged with the crowd, the sense of brotherhood, sisterhood, fatherhood, and motherhood was palpable. The people were united in their support for Shaibu, and their appreciation was clear. They noted that; "Where Shaibu goes, we will follow," they declared, echoing the words in their language "When elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers; when elephants make love, it is the grass that rejoices." Shaibu has again proven that the power of love and community is very important. Despite the unholy anger and resentment from the Edo PDP, Shaibu's popularity and influence in the community were clear for all to see. The love they shared today was evident that Shaibu's connection with his people was unbreakable, and his legacy would live on. Shaibu has indeed lost himself in the service of his people. His selflessness had found him a place in the hearts of his people. Yours affectionately, Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah, the Chairman and CEO of Bush Radio Academy. Re: Bobrisky—Philip Shaibu At Crossroads As Obaseki Triggers Exit Welcome – Brotherhood or Sisterhood? In your 7 paragraphs story laced with poetic narrative "NA WHERE YOU DEY LOOK YOU WANT CUT" as earlier used today by Nollywood actress and skits maker, Yvonne Jegede in her skit with Oldwarri, you made attempts to convey a message by vilifying the Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu. According to you the Edo State gubernatorial race has taken a surprising turn as INEC announced the list of candidates for different parties, and to everyone's astonishment, Philip Shaibu's name was notably absent from all platforms. However, this is not a setback or bump in the road for Shaibu. Whether impeachment or not, Shaibu will continue his political journey with a renewed vigor and determination. It will never be the end of his beautiful and astonishing story, but rather the beginning of a new chapter for Shaibu where he will rise above the challenges and emerge stronger than ever. Philip Shaibu's journey has already taken an exciting turn, reminiscent of your intriguing "ROUNDABUBU" situations that is often found in folklore. Your unique exemplary scenario that echoes the saying, "Na where you dey look na you wan cut? Goat Eye activated," is a phrase that only signifies Shaibu's astute navigation through the complexities of politics. You led us into the essence of Goat Eye Activation, a concept that also showcases Shaibu's ability to focus on his goals and make strategic decisions amidst challenges. Before joining me in my captivating exploration, where Shaibu's tenacity and determination shine brightly, illuminating his path to triumph, let me first take your through thematic analysis of your poetic narrative. In a world where cruelty towards animals is still prevalent, it is disheartening to recount a story that normalizes violence and slaughter for the sake of celebration. The tale of an uncle purchasing a goat for Christmas, only to involve his nephew in the act of slaughtering it, is a stark reminder of the lack of empathy and respect for living beings. The use of humor and lightheartedness to narrate the incident, even in the context of fiction, trivializes the suffering and pain experienced by the innocent goat. Additionally, making light of the uncle's eye condition by referring to it in a joking manner further diminishes the seriousness of the situation. It is crucial to acknowledge the inherent cruelty in exploiting animals for human pleasure and to recognize the importance of treating all living creatures with compassion and kindness. Stories that promote such actions only serve to desensitize individuals to the suffering of animals and perpetuate a harmful cycle of violence and disregard for life. Let us strive to create a world where all beings are valued and respected, and where compassion guides our interactions with the world around us. This is where Obaseki has gotten it all wrong, because he has no respect for the rule of law and human According to you, in the midst of the chaotic scene, the boy struggled to hold down the spirited goat, his eyes met his uncle's, who was prepared to wield the machete for the impending sacrifice. A moment of clarity pierced through the tension as the boy, caught in the whirlwind of the moment, blurted out in a mix of surprise and innocence, "UNCLE NA WHERE YOU DEY LOOK NA YOU WAN CUT?" The words hung in the air, laced with the boy's realization of his uncle's distinctive gaze – the "HALF PAST 4" eyes, a trait that was both endearing and peculiar. The uncle, momentarily taken aback by the unexpected remark, paused in his motion, the machete hovering in the air. In that fleeting moment, a spark of laughter danced in his eyes, a shared understanding passing between uncle and nephew amidst the chaos of the situation. The boy's words, though spoken in jest, held a deeper truth – a reminder that sometimes, it is our unique quirks and imperfections that make us who we are, adding a touch of whimsy to life's most unexpected moments. And so, in the midst of the goat's restless struggles and the tension of the impending act, a brief interlude of amusement and connection unfolded between uncle and nephew. The memory of that moment, infused with the boy's spontaneous remark and the uncle's twinkling eyes, would become a cherished tale passed down through generations, a reminder that even in moments of uncertainty, humor and understanding can bridge the gap between hearts. As your tale unfolded, the use of poetic narrative to vilify Shaibu for his reaction in this situation was unjust and narrow-minded. The miscommunication and confusion between Shaibu and Oshiomohle, fueled by some greedy politicians, led to a series of mishaps that resulted in chaos. Shaibu disagreement with Oshiomohle does not call for condemnation but rather a deeper exploration of the circumstances surrounding the incident. Each character's perspective and intentions should have been carefully considered before passing hasty judgment, as there was underlying factors at play that contributed to the comedic yet intricate chain of events. Understanding and empathy are essential in unraveling the complexities of human interactions, even in the most unexpected and absurd situations. Let me also recount a tale that highlights the complexity of the situation Philip Shaibu faces. Imagine a scenario where the lines between loyalty and political maneuvering are blurred, leaving Shaibu caught in a precarious position orchestrated by his boss, Godwin Obaseki. The tumultuous events unfolded as a result of Obaseki's impeachment agenda which has now shrouded the upcoming gubernatorial election in uncertainty, with Shaibu positioned as the target of his boss's ire. Despite the challenges he faces, Shaibu's commitment to his principles and his unwavering stance in the face of adversity speak volumes about his character. The intricate web of alliances and betrayals surrounding Shaibu serves to emphasize the unpredictable nature of politics and the complexities of navigating such a volatile situation. Whether we like it or yes, as the governorship election looms like a tricky maze, only one man stands at a pivotal juncture – Philip Shaibu. Shaibu's Impeachment Panel Proceedings By Comrade Robinson Akhenoba On Wednesday 3rd April, 2024 the sun sets in Benin, casting a warm glow over the city as the Impeachment panel's inaugural sitting began. In a grand hall filled with tension and anticipation, representatives from the state house of assembly and the Deputy Governor's team took their places. A seven-man panel, led by the distinguished retired justice S. A. Omonuwa, convened to unravel a mystery surrounding the Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu. Whispers of allegations concerning perjury and misconduct had spread across Edo State like wildfire, casting a shadow of doubt over the respected Deputy Governor. The Chief Judge of Edo, Daniel Okungbowa, who deemed it necessary to shine a light on these accusations and seek the truth. As the panel commenced its hearings, the air in Benin was filled with anticipation and apprehension. The fate of the Deputy Governor to be decided by men not by God who gave power to whoever he pleases, and the people watched with bated breath as the proceedings unfolded. Would justice prevail, or would the accusations prove to be unfounded? The retired justice S. A. Omonuwa, with his piercing gaze and impartial demeanor, listened intently to the testimonies and evidence presented before him. And so, the wheels of justice turned in Benin, as the panel delved deep into the allegations surrounding the Deputy Governor. The truth, like a hidden gem waiting to be unearthed, shimmered just beyond reach, waiting for the seven-man in black suites to illuminate it. Only time would tell what fate awaited Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu and the people of Edo State. As the panel continued its probe, the echoes of its deliberations radiat through the new high court judge hall, reminding all that justice, no matter how elusive, would always find a way to prevail. Joe Ohiafi, the deputy clerk, legal of the house of assembly, sat with a stack of documents in front of him, ready to present the allegations against Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu. On the other side of the room, Oladoyin Awoyale, a distinguished professor and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), stood tall and resolute, prepared to defend the Deputy Governor's honor and the constitution. As the proceedings commenced, the air was thick with the weight of the supposed accusations and the gravity of the situation. The panel, led by the retired justice S. A. Omonuwa, listened attentively as both sides presented their arguments and evidence. Each word spoken, each piece of evidence presented, held the power to shape the destiny of the defender and the complainant and the defendant. The eyes were fixed on the panel, waiting with bated breath for justice to be served. As the panel resumed its hearing as scheduled, the courtroom was filled with a palpable sense of anticipation. However, an unexpected twist unfolded when the Deputy Governor, represented by his lawyer Awoyale, challenged the legitimacy of the proceedings. Awoyale argued vehemently that the panel's investigation of his client would essentially be a fait accompli, contradicting the existing order of the Federal High CouRt. Awoyale's arguments reverberated with authority, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. The mention of the interlocutory injunction issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja cast a shadow of doubt over the ongoing proceedings. The atmosphere in the courtroom crackled with tension as the Deputy Governor's legal team stood firm in their objection. The clash of legal powerhouses reverberated through the halls, casting a shadow over the truth-seeking process that was meant to unfold. The fate of the "Deputy Governor" not Philip Shaibu set to be decided by men, as the legal wrangling threatened to overshadow the quest for justice. The echoes of this dramatic showdown would linger long after the court adjourned, leaving the Edo people on the edge of their seats. The courtroom had become the stage for a high-stakes legal battle, where the future of Edo State and the Deputy Governor's political career teetered on a knife's edge. The outcome of this clash of wills would shape the narrative of justice and power in the region for years to come. The implications of the court's order weighed heavily on everyone present, raising profound questions about the legitimacy of the panel's actions in the face of a superior judicial decree. Awoyale's words resonated like a powerful thunderclap, urging all parties involved to heed the legal mandate and abide by the rule of law. The courtroom fell into a contemplative silence as the impact of the court's order sank in. The delicate balance between legal authority and judicial oversight hung in the balance, as the fate of the Deputy Governor's impeachment trial teetered on the edge of legality. The unfolding drama painted a vivid picture of the intricate dance between power and justice, leaving all those in attendance on the edge of their seats, waiting to see how this legal saga would unfold on the stage of the law. As the courtroom buzzed with legal arguments and tensions ran high, Ohiafi, counsel to the House of Assembly and deputy clerk, stood firm in defense of the panel's authority. With unwavering confidence, he invoked section 188 (10) of the constitution, asserting that the law prohibited any court from obstructing the House of Assembly and the panel in carrying out their constitutional obligations. Amidst this legal standoff, the panel made the crucial decision to take a two-hour break before proceeding with their defense. The courtroom fell into a hushed anticipation as both sides regrouped and prepared for the next phase of the legal battle. During the break, whispers of speculation and anticipation filled the air, as all eyes were fixed on the unfolding drama in the courtroom. The fate of the Vice Governor hung in the balance as the legal wrangling continued, with each side fighting fiercely to assert their interpretation of the law and uphold their respective positions. When the panel reconvened after the break, the atmosphere crackled with intensity, signaling the beginning of a new phase in the legal proceedings. The battle of legal minds resumed, with the stakes higher than ever and the outcome hanging in the balance. The courtroom was a stage set for a legal drama of epic proportions, where the clash of legal principles and constitutional interpretations would determine the course of justice. As the defense continued, the counsel for the Deputy Governor, Awoyale, took a respectful bow, setting the stage for the next legal maneuver. However, the courtroom was taken aback when Barrister Joe Ohiafi, the deputy clerk of the Edo State House of Assembly, assumed the roles of both the complainant's counsel and the witness to the complainant simultaneously. It was a surprising turn of events that raised eyebrows and sparked whispers among those present. The unusual dual role played by Barrister Ohiafi added a layer of complexity and intrigue to the proceedings, drawing attention to the twists and turns of the legal battle. In a bold move, Barrister Ohiafi presented an exhibit before the panel, accusing the Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu, of lying under oath and providing false information to the public. The panelists questioned the rationale and the breach of protocol of not informing the deputy governor of subsequent meetings through the normal processes. Barrister Ohiafi was left in bewilderment. The stakes were higher than ever as the legal drama unfolded, with each new development adding another layer of complexity to the case. The courtroom was a stage set for a legal showdown where truth and deception clashed. As the defense and prosecution sparred, the outcome of this legal battle remained uncertain, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the next twist in this gripping legal saga. As the panel delved deeper into the perplexing turn of events, the complainant noted that, the deputy governor had misinformed the public of his last official letter of invitation he had received to the EXCO meeting which was dated July 17th, 2023. However, confusion arose when the complainant disclosed another letter purportedly delivered to the deputy governor through his private secretary on the 19th of July, 2023. This unexpected twist in the narrative caught the attention of the panel, leading them to question the rationale behind this breach of protocol. The panel's inquiry intensified as they sought clarity on why the deputy governor was invited through his private secretary instead of the established procedure. The air was thick with anticipation as the witness, Ohiafi, was pressed on his affiliations and involvement in this enigmatic matter. Ohiafi, a key player in this unfolding saga, found himself navigating through a web of intrigues and mysteries as he faced the relentless scrutiny of the panel. His ties to the events surrounding the deputy governor's invitations were probed, unraveling a tapestry of connections that hinted at a deeper complexity lurking beneath the surface. As the inquiry unfolded, the echoes of questions bounced off the walls of the chamber, and the truth seemed to be just out of reach. The deputy governor's invitations became symbols of a larger narrative, one that raised more questions than answers, leaving those present to ponder the shadows cast by the unseen hands that guided this enigmatic tale. And so, the story of the deputy governor and the invitations to the EXCO meeting continued to weave its enigmatic path through the corridors of power, leaving whispers of curiosity and intrigue in its wake. As the whispers of intrigue echoed through the hallowed halls of power, the tale of the deputy governor's invitations to the EXCO meeting continued to unravel. The lone piece of evidence presented by the complainant stood as a beacon of accusation, pointing towards allegations of perjury and gross misconduct. The panel, in their quest for truth, decided to adjourn the proceedings to the 4th of April, 2024, providing the deputy governor with an opportunity to present his defense and shed light on the murky circumstances surrounding the invitations. Amidst the swirling accusations and mounting tensions, a new chapter unfolded in the saga of the deputy governor's plight. Back in the heat of July, Shaibu, with a defiant spirit, took a bold step by approaching a federal high court in Abuja with a suit aimed at thwarting the looming impeachment plot against him. In a bid to safeguard his position, Shaibu sought the court's intervention to restrain Obaseki, the esteemed speaker of the state assembly, and the revered chief judge, from initiating any impeachment proceedings or sanctioning such actions against him. As the wheels of fate spun relentlessly, the tale of the deputy governor's trials and tribulations in the face of impending impeachment played out against the backdrop of a tumultuous political landscape, where allies turned into foes and enemies lurked within the shadows, waiting to strike. The stage was set for a showdown of epic proportions, where the fate of Edo chosen one hung in the balance, and the winds of change whispered through the corridors of power, heralding a storm on the horizon. Obaseki/Shaibu: The Journey of Betrayal Scene: 6 (The Palace Scene 1) By Comrade Robinson Akhenoba In the ancient City of Benin, where shadows of a turbulent past loom over the present, the saga of the stolen artifacts was thrown into the center of a storm brewing between Governor Obaseki and the revered Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Omo N'Oba N'Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo Oba Ewuare II, Obaseki gha kpere, ise. As news spread like wildfire of the impending return of the long-lost treasures to their homeland, differing views emerged on where these symbols of a rich cultural heritage should find their resting place. The Oba, with all the weight of tradition and history behind him, advocated for the artifacts to be housed within the sacred walls of the Benin Palace, where they could be revered and honored by generations to come. His vision painted a picture of a museum rising within the palace grounds, serving as a beacon of Benin's glorious past. The clash of visions between Governor Obaseki and the revered Oba Ewuare II over the fate of the stolen artifacts cast a shadow over the kingdom of Benin. As the Oba stood firm in his belief that the treasures should find their home within the hallowed walls of the Benin Palace or in a museum managed by the federal and state governments, Governor Obaseki found himself at odds with tradition. His preference for a private trust to oversee the custody and management of the ancient artworks sparked a fire of controversy that threatened to engulf the delicate balance of power in the region. In a bold move, Governor Obaseki chose to withhold the 4-month statutory allocation fund due to the Oba, a decision that sent shockwaves through the kingdom. As tensions simmered and the rift between tradition and modernity deepened, the people of Benin watched with bated breath, their hearts torn between loyalty to a revered monarch and allegiance to a powerful leader. The fate of the stolen artifacts hung in the balance, their return becoming not just a matter of restitution but a symbolic battleground for the soul of a nation torn between the echoes of the past and the demands of the present. Again the simmering tensions between Governor Obaseki and the revered Oba Ewuare II continued to escalate, this time, a new chapter of Benin kingdom division unfolded within the Oba palace. The resistance put up by the Oba against the possession of the stolen artifacts and his insistence on their return to a museum within the palace walls struck a chord with a section of the Enigie, or dukes, in the Benin Kingdom. These Enigie, custodians of tradition and loyal subjects of the Oba, stood united in their allegiance to the palace of the Oba of Benin and Omo N’Oba N’Edu Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II. They viewed themselves as an extension of the palace, a direct link to the rich heritage and legacy of the Benin monarchs. In a powerful display of unity and defiance against the attempts to divide their kingdom, the Enigie pledged their unwavering loyalty to the palace, vowing to uphold the traditions and values that have guided their people for generations. As their voices rose in unison, echoing through the ancient streets of Benin, a message of solidarity and strength reverberated through the land, reminding all who heard that the bonds of tradition and heritage could not be broken by the winds of change and politics. As tensions between Governor Obaseki and the Oba of Benin continued to simmer, another intrigue unfolded with the involvement of Philip Shaibu, who found himself at the center of an unexpected turn of events. Despite not being directly involved in the feud between Obaseki and the Oba, Shaibu had a palace built for the Ogieneni of Uzairue kingdom and decided to commission it. In a bold and surprising move, Shaibu extended a gracious invitation to the Oba of Benin and Governor Obaseki to attend the commissioning ceremony. To the amazement of many, the Oba not only honored the invitation but also shared a meal with Shaibu, affectionately referring to him as his son and expressing his satisfaction with the event. Such a display of camaraderie and closeness between the Oba and a political figure was rarely witnessed in the Benin kingdom, adding a touch of mystery and wonder to the unfolding narrative. Meanwhile, Governor Obaseki's absence from the commissioning event raised eyebrows and further fueled the growing discord between him, Shaibu and the Oba palace. The rift between the governor and his deputy deepened as the unexpected bond between Shaibu and the Oba of Benin took center stage, hinting at shifting alliances and hidden motives within the political landscape of Benin. The feud between Obaseki and Shaibu added yet another layer of complexity to the intricate tapestry of power and influence in the realm. Obaseki/Shaibu: The Journey of Betrayal Scene: 4 By Comrade Robinson Akhenoba As the sun set on the horizon and the time for the main Edo State Governorship election drew near, the atmosphere in Edo was fraught with tension and intrigue. The Legacy Group, led by the PDP South-South National Vice Chairman, Chief Dan Osi Orbih, rallied behind Governor Obaseki's re-election campaign. Their passion and dedication to the cause were unmatched, as they crisscrossed the state, spreading their message of hope and progress. However, amidst the chaos of political maneuvering, a shadow loomed over the once-united front. Former Rivers State Governor and Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, stood tall as a major player in Governor Obaseki's re-election bid. Wike had thrown his weight behind Obaseki, hoping to solidify their alliance and secure the Governor's support for his presidential ambition in the future. Yet, as fate would have it, betrayal reared its ugly head once more. In a shocking turn of events, Governor Obaseki made a decision that would forever change the course of their relationship. Instead of standing by Wike and supporting his presidential aspirations, Obaseki chose to throw his weight behind the former Vice president, Alhaji, Atiku Abubakar, a move that left Wike feeling blindsided and betrayed. The once-promising alliance between Obaseki and Wike crumbled under the weight of political ambition and personal agendas. As the dust settled and the results of the election were announced, one thing became clear: in the game of politics, loyalty is a fleeting commodity, and betrayal knows no bounds. As the dust settled on the Edo Governorship election and Governor Obaseki emerged victorious, the time had come to form his executive cabinets. However, the process was again fraught with tension and uncertainty. Obaseki, true to his style, waited until the Supreme Court judgment upheld his certificate forgery case and election results before making any moves. It was decided that a balance would be struck in the appointment of executives, with both the Legacy Group and the new PDP members getting a fair share of positions. Yet, when the time came, Obaseki once again surprised everyone by going against the agreement. He appointed his allies and left the Legacy Group members with nothing but disappointment and resentment. Despite this betrayal, the Legacy Group chose to rise above the bitterness and forgive. They set their sights on the future, with hopeful eyes on the Edo 2024 Governorship elections. Determined to overcome the setbacks and challenges they faced, they vowed to work together and fight for a better Edo, united in their quest for justice and progress. And so, as the chapters of Edo's political saga unfolded, the legacy of betrayal and forgiveness intertwined, shaping the path towards a new chapter of hope and resilience. Amidst the trials and tribulations, the people of Edo stood strong, guided by the unwavering belief that their voices would be heard, and their dreams of a brighter tomorrow would one day come to fruition. In another twist of fate, Governor Obaseki found himself facing yet another opportunity to settle the disagreements with the Legacy Group. An agreement had been reached in a meeting in Abuja where it was decided that the Legacy PDP and Obaseki's group would share the national, state, and local government elective positions. To ensure a fair distribution of the positions, it was decided that Shaibu and Chief Dan Osi Orbih would be tasked with allocating the roles. However, when Obaseki, who had previously agreed to this formula in Abuja, arrived in Benin, he went back on his word and turned his back against the agreement made. This happened in the meeting held at commercial meeting avenue, Benin City before the very eyes of some legacy group members like; senator Clifford Ordia Senator Matthew Irhohide, the late AIT founder and CEO, Chief Dokpesi and many others. The atmosphere in the meeting was tense as Obaseki's betrayal left the Legacy Group members feeling disheartened and betrayed once again. Despite their hopes for reconciliation and unity, the broken promises only deepened the rift between the factions. As the political drama continued to unfold, the legacy of broken agreements and unfulfilled promises cast a shadow over the once-promising alliance. The power struggles and conflicting ambitions threatened to tear apart the very fabric of unity and trust that they had hoped to build. In the heart of this political turmoil, the story of Governor Obaseki and the Legacy Group continued to unfold, with each chapter adding new layers of betrayal and disappointment. The road to reconciliation seemed long and arduous, but the resilient spirit of the people kept their hopes alive, believing that someday, peace and harmony would prevail in Edo. But what happened next will shock you... Don't get tired reading the drama as I take you to the end. THE THOUGHTS OF EDO PEOPLE ON SENATOR EHIGIE UZAMERE STATEMENT By Comrade Robinson Akhenoba Once upon a time in the vibrant city of Benin, a passionate senator named Ehigie Uzamere found himself entangled in a controversial statement that ignited a firestorm of debate among the people he represented. Senator Uzamere, known for his political prowess but criticized for his lack of tangible impacts on the Benin community, found himself at the center of a fierce storm of words that threatened to engulf his reputation. The senator, who had never truly connected with the sons and daughters of Benin through meaningful actions, dared to speak on behalf of the very people he had failed to uplift. In a bold proclamation, he declared that a traditional drama performed in the Benin dialect, aimed at dissuading the Benins from supporting non-Benins, was a failure in its endeavor. "The Benins are wiser, focused, and more enlightened than the persuasion this drama seeks," Senator Uzamere proclaimed confidently, as if claiming to understand the depths of wisdom and enlightenment possessed by his people. However, the citizens of Benin, known for their rich heritage, deep-rooted traditions, and unwavering sense of community, did not take kindly to being spoken for by a man whose actions did not match his words. They questioned the legitimacy of Senator Uzamere's claims, wondering how someone who had not walked alongside them in their struggles could presume to know what was best for their community. As word spread throughout Benin of the senator's audacious statement, whispers turned into murmurs, and murmurs grew into a resounding chorus of discontent. The people of Benin, proud of their heritage and fiercely protective of their culture, began to question the motives behind Senator Uzamere's words. Rumors swirled that the senator was more concerned with his own political agenda than with the well-being of the Benin people he was elected to serve. Accusations of detachment and insensitivity to the needs of the community began to overshadow Senator Uzamere's once-shining reputation. In the midst of this tumultuous storm of controversy, the Benin people stood united in their resilience and unwavering devotion to their cultural values. They refused to be swayed by empty words or hollow promises, choosing instead to rely on their own innate wisdom and collective strength to guide their path forward. And so, as the echoes of Senator Uzamere's ill-fated statement faded into the background, the people of Benin remained steadfast in their belief that true leadership was not measured by words alone, but by actions that spoke louder than any rhetoric. Senator Uzamere may have tried to speak for the Binis, but in the end, it was the voices of the people themselves that rang true and resolute in the heart of their beloved city of Benin. Re: Philip Shaibu's Plot Against Obaseki The Originality By Comrade Robinson Akhenoba The series of events and lies propagated by Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki and his media aides against Deputy Governor Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu paint a troubling picture of political manipulation and betrayal within the state government. On June 13, 203, the governor and his aides falsely claimed that Shaibu had called a leader in APC to discuss speakership nominations, based on a video showing Shaibu celebrating with his friends and colleagues in Abuja during the National Assembly inauguration. This led to Obaseki becoming bitter and prevented Shaibu from attending a meeting at his residence to discuss the Edo State House of Assembly speakership nomination. Despite trying to contact the governor on that night after the thanksgiving service of the former speaker, Hon Marcus Onobun at the legislative quarters, Shaibu was denied access to the meeting and the governor's plans to impeach him were revealed by those present. Shaibu however, on hearing the news of his planned impeachment, took legal action to prevent his all parties involved and was then further marginalized by Obaseki, as evidenced by the assignment of a Director of State Security personnel to prevent him from exchanging pleasantries with the governor during a church service on August 27, 2023. The Chief Press Secretary also barred Shaibu's media aides from attending the Edo @ 32 year celebration on August 28, where Shaibu left the venue with his aides amidst a lack of seating guests. Despite Obaseki's attempts to discredit him, Shaibu consulted with his people in Jattu on September 1 about potentially contesting the Edo State Governorship election. He also refuted claims of embezzling funds meant for people in Edo North, asserting his trustworthiness with public funds. The governor further marginalized Shaibu by relocating his office outside the government house on September 15, 2023, and falsely claiming that Shaibu attempted to force his way into the governor's office on September 18. The existence of CCTV cameras in the government house could provide evidence to counter these lies and showcase the unjust treatment of the deputy governor by the governor and his administration. Overall, the detailed timeline of events highlights the deceitful actions taken by Governor Obaseki and his allies against Deputy Governor Shaibu, underscoring the need for transparency and accountability within the Edo State government. The Sleeping Governor I will be taking a closer look at the poetic stylings of Governor Godwin Obaseki, who seems to have a knack for betrayal, breaking of promises, leaving the good people of Edo State high and dry and the slumbering state of affairs in Edo State, as I present to you the sleeping Governor who has abandoned working for his people to work for his pocket. This will be a comical musings of a governor who seems to have swapped his work boots for a pair of cozy slippers, all in the pursuit of lining his pockets and that of his cronies. So grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy the poetic journey through the sleepy realm of Edo politics. From abandoned infrastructure to skyrocketing poverty rates, it's no wonder that Edo residents are feeling a little neglected. But wait, there's more drama! Enter the innocent deputy governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu, whose governorship ambitions have caught the eye of Governor Obaseki. Will Obaseki succeed in truncating Shaibu's dreams, or will the people of Edo State continue to rally behind their beloved deputy? Hold on for a while, let me consult the gods, but then; the betrayal of trust by Governor Godwin Obaseki is evident in his failure to fulfill electoral promises, leaving Edo State entrenched in debt, poverty, crime, and neglected infrastructure. Governor Obaseki's misguided priorities are highlighted in his relentless pursuit to suppress his Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu's ambition, disregarding the needs and aspirations of Edo people. There is a growing disillusion among Edo people towards Governor Obaseki which stems from his audio projects, artificial MOUs, his neglect of pressing issues like security, development, and well-being in favor of political vendettas and power struggles.
