For minor offenses in civil service, there are steps in punishment if one repeatedly commits the same offence: from verbal warning, to written warning (query), to suspension (with or without pay), before even thinking of firing the staff. No one thinks of sacking straight off, except if you commit a grave crime that shakes the cooperation to its core. So, your jobs are safe. Telling us that some of your speakers made mention of EH coming in, in the future, is not a top secret, or else, it would have not been mentioned in your orientation. Do not let anyone scare you about your job, not even them. If NNPC sacks you for a minor offence (if at all this is), just be thanking God for the hundreds of millions, if not billions, you will get from them when human rights lawyers take your case and sue them to court. You guys are safe. No fear.
