We just celebrated her marriage of 10 years some days ago. Picture perfect marriage. I asked how she does it.

When younger we make various choice's without the future in mind. Sometimes those choices bite us in our mid-life. These are some of the things one might regret when they're older.

1. *Marrying the wrong person*

When you're young, check your motives for marrying. Don't marry to copy your peers, or for social standing or out of pressure.

Marry for love and companionship, marry the right person, marry your best friend. For if you marry the wrong person or for the wrong reasons, you will have to put up with that person the rest of your life.

Things might get worse between you two; then depression, physical abuse, affairs, pain, shame, court cases, bitterness will define your mid-life years all because you chose the wrong one.

Things will get worse when children are involved. Make the right choice of a spouse when you are young.

2. *The opportunities you did not seize*

When you are younger many doors will open, you will get many chances. Many young people let these opportunities go because of fear, laziness, or pride; yet well younger and with more energy is the best time to start a venture and a name for yourself.

Some think the opportunities are too big for them. Take advantage of them or one day when you're older you will want to go back and grab those missed chances.

3. *The bridges you burned*

When we are younger, we care little for relationships, what most think about is getting money and moving up the ladder of success at all cost.

Many use and trample on people to progress, they take relationships for granted, messing up bonds, sleeping with people for personal gain.

But these bad actions will catch up with you ahead. When you will realize how empty life is without love and friends. When you will have success but no one around you or no one to trust you.

4. *The child you aborted*

You are a young lady, you get pregnant and you are scared. You take the aborting option quickly thinking of that moment then. But when you are much older, you will look back and wish you kept that baby.

You will see that child excel and become an adult but will have no claim to that grown child who you rejected from the beginning. You will regret being a Dead Beat Dad by choice

6. *The marriage you destroyed*

So you get married to your good fiance; the first months in marriage were good but shortly after, with your money and charm, you started having affairs. You became unfaithful.

Your spouse begged you to stop, your children started hurting, your marriage was collapsing. One day when you are older, it will hit you how foolish you were to destroy the good marriage you had began to build for mere temporary thrills in affairs that did you no good. You will realize the damage you caused to your children and spouse.

7. *The God you disowned*

When you are much older you become wiser, God becomes more real as you see life in a more meaningful way. But don't wait to get older to start enjoying a relationship with God.

Know God when you are young, build your future with God. Don't be a young rebel who runs back to God when age catches up.

8. *The body you messed up*

You have only one body to live with all your life. The cigarettes, the alcohol you are abusing, the drugs you are taking, the unhealthy food you're consuming; all that will destroy you slowly.

When you are 50 and lifestyle diseases catch up with you, you will wish you took care of your body when younger, that you exercised more; but now the damage is done.

9. *The time you wasted*

The time you are wasting when younger in worry, wrong relationships, laziness, being a couch potato, giving excuses and pursuing meaningless things; you will never get it back.

10. *The dreams and talents you shelved*

Are you talented when young; are there things you love to do and you are good at them?

Nurture those talents, exploit them, don't give up even if you encounter set backs, don't give up on your dreams. If you give up, when you're older you will look at your peers who stuck to what they love and made it and think to yourself,

"That could have been me". Pursue a career, study a course you love. Don't waste years of your life in a field that doesn't fulfill you.

11 *The name you defamed*

When you are older, a legacy is very important, the value of your name is crucial. You will ask yourself what is your reputation,

what are you leaving behind?

Your legacy is a sum total of your actions since youthful days. We write our biography by how we live life everyday. When you look back your path and you see the mud you threw at your own name, the shame you attracted and the little value you have added to the world; you will regret.

12. *The wealth you threw away*

Are you riding on good money during your productive years?
Earning good money?

Don't throw away that money in clubs, reckless living and wasteful shopping. Invest with that money, widen your revenue stream, make that money work for you and keep it safe to take care of you in your older years. Leave an inheritance for your loved ones so that you will never say "I wish I knew better"

13. *The good love that got away*

Is there that great person in your life loving you good?

Don't push that person away, or else that person will walk out your life and you will never ever find someone that incredible and who connects with you all your life. It will torment you to grow older with thoughts of "What if I was still with that person?"

14 *The parents you despised*

When younger, it is easy to show contempt to your parents; what do your parent's know?

They are old-fashioned, shady and small -minded. But your parents are still your parents whether you agree with them or not, whatever their style.

Don't let your parent die or age separated from you, reconcile and make up. When you get older, you will realize why your parents wanted to be close to you. The older you get, the more you see the value.

Islam teaches us that Allah created all things on earth for man's use, including plants, animals and land resources.

Therefore we should not waste anything but use it wisely for our own benefit as well as for future generations.

Islam teaches us to be good human beings, to be kind to others and help those who are in need. In Islam there is no place for hatred and violence.

It gives us hope that we can live together as brothers and sisters regardless of our race or religion.

Lastly

No life should be lost through you even if it is a life of an animal. Be kind to all animals, and you must not hurt any animal and whichever one of them you want to kill for consumption or business must go through some certain procedure to declare it (Haram).

Personal Assistant to the Sokoto State Finance Commissioner, Anas Mohammad Sani, has threatened that more Christians in Nigeria will be murrdered if they say things considered disrespectful to their revered Prophet Muhammad.

Sani stated following the gruesome kiillling of Deborah Samuel, a Christian female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Wamako fir allegedly insulting Prophet Muhamamad.

He stated on his Facebook wall, adding that Deborah was brutally murdered because she was reckless with her tongue.

“Muslims don’t take insults against beloved prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in whatever form.”

“The earlier our Christian brothers and sisters understand this, the better for all of us. May the recklessness of our tongues never drive us to (an) early grave.”

“We have just a life to live and enjoy. We can make noise on Twitter and condemn the mob action using the Queen’s English.

Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President of Nigeria, has deleted his social media posts condemning the murder of Deborah Samuel, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education.

Deborah was murdered on Thursday morning for allegedly posting comments that blasphemed Prophet Mohammed.

Atiku took to social media on Thursday evening to demand justice for Deborah.

“There cannot be a justification for such gruesome murder. Deborah Yakubu was murdered, and all those behind her death must be brought to justice. My condolences to her family and friends.”

But the posts by Atiku were taken down after fanatics threatened his 2023 presidential ambition.

Quran tells us to ignore Blasphemy because in Islamic law, there is no punishment for blasphemy.

From the above verse, the stance of present-day Muslims goes totally against the teachings of the Quran. Whenever anyone in their judgment commits an act of 'abuse of the Prophet in speech or in writing, they instantly demand that all those who insult the Prophet be dealt with.

This verse of the Quran makes it plain that it is not the task of the Muslims to establish "media watch" offices and hunt for anyone involved in acts of defamation of the Prophet, and then plan for their killing as in the case of what happened in Sokoto.

What those students did in Sokoto is an abomination of every etiquette in Islam of being courteous, patient, tolerant and knowledgeable in the face of people who may hate, or are uneducated against Islam.

The Blasphemy Law is against the Quran and Sunnah, it does not serve Islam. In reality a person who like the Holy prophet attracted people to Islam by doing good deeds and tolerate his neighbours and correct with love.

A few days ago, I went to an event, a house-warming ceremony.

When I entered the compound, I saw some elders I knew sitting in one corner. I went up to them and started to greet them one after the other.

I shook their hands, even with the ones I didn't know until I got to one man. I didn't know him and when I extended my hand, he ignored it. After a few seconds, I withdrew the hand.

I felt very embarrassed and angry. Embarrassed for myself and angry at the man.

Now, even after I sat down, I was still pissed. I kept stealing glances at the man to see how he would react to other people.

Then I saw it...

He was blind!!!

His eyes were open, but he couldn't see at all! The other people who came to greet him had to touch him first, then take his hand if they wanted to shake hands with him.

Now my embarrassment level tripled. In addition to that, I felt stupid, very stupid. I was still angry, just angry at myself. I felt like that till I left the occasion.”

Someone doesn't pick our calls, we assume he or she is avoiding us or is up to something...

But we just assume instead...because it’s easier and it tends to make us the good guys...

FIFA Orders NFF To Pay Ex Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr $1.045 Compensation, Salaries

World football governing body, FIFA have ordered the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to pay the sum of one million, forty-five Thousand dollars ($1, 045,000) compensation and salaries to former Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr.

Rohr was sacked as Super Eagles head coach in December 2021 while still being owed several months salaries as well as bonuses and allowances.

The German reported the NFF to FIFA and the world football governing body has ordered them to pay him $1,045,000 (about N433,873,550.00 officially) to cover his entitlements and additional compensation.

NFF sources confirmed today that the ruling was made on 22 April but kept under wraps, and the body is not considering an appeal.

FIFA ruled that the NFF had no justifiable reason to terminate Rohr’s contract in the manner that they did, especially as they were owing him a large sum.

The world body also clarified that Rohr must be paid in dollars and not naira since he is no longer based in Nigeria.

Rohr was named as the Super Eagles head coach in 2016 and he was the longest-serving coach of the team with his over five years in charge.

The former Burkina Faso head coach was believed to be earning around $55,000 monthly in Nigeria.

He is yet to be replaced with a permanent successor after Austin Eguavoen’s disastrous spell as interim head coach.

Under Eguavoen’s three-month stint, the Super Eagles fell in the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations in January and lost out to Ghana in the World Cup playoffs in March.

FIFA says Nigeria had no reason to sacked Gernot Rohr last December and has ordered the NFF to pay him his entitlements.

The reproductive organs of these animals are not made to fit into that of a woman or man and have caused a lot of injuries, some men have had ruptured rectum from sex with pigs and others have experienced head injuries from sex with horses.

The reproductive organ of an aroused dog is like a light bulb, and that would injure a vagina. Let's not even imagine the size of a horse's reproductive organ. It can cause serious tears and injuries.

Allergic reaction

Receiving the semen of a dog or horse can trigger allergic reactions because it is a foreign substance the body tries to expel.

Imagine a person with a peanut allergy eating peanuts, and not getting treated immediately. A woman in Ireland who had sex with a dog died from anaphylaxis.

According to Mayo Clinic, "Anaphylaxis causes the immune system to release a flood of chemicals that can cause you to go into shock — blood pressure drops suddenly and the airways narrow, blocking breathing. Signs and symptoms include a rapid, weak pulse; a skin rash; and nausea and vomiting."

Leptospirosis

This disease is gotten from the urine of animals like dogs and cats. When it is in the human system, it can lead to meningitis, and 10% of the time, meningitis is deadly.

Apart from the fact that it is a crime against nature and an actual crime, bestiality can be fatal and deadly.

Having gone through the consequences of having sex with dogs, I wish to recommend that if caught, such person(s) should be isolated from human and quarantine, until after series of laboratory test conducted in order to avoid another emerging pandemic.

A South West APC Elders meeting with presidential, gubernatorial and National Assembly aspirants from the zone ended tonight on a convivial note, as sources confirm that the leaders resolved that every aspirants has a right to contest.

Besides, the meeting, though behind closed doors also resolved that name callings and other personal attacks should no longer be encouraged by aspirants and their supporters.

According to an inside source,

"the issue of betrayal was put to rest as the elders affirmed that everyone who desires to run for any political office whatsoever is not encumbered in any way at all."

The leaders and the aspirants all agreed to conduct a rancour free campaign.

The meeting had been convened by the first Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande and a former Governor of Ogun state, Chief Segun Osoba, both of whom served as Co-Conveners.

Present at the meeting were the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, former Lagos State Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi.

Also at the meeting, apart from the aspirants were the former Governor of Lagos State and Works and Housing Minister Mr. Babatunde Fashola, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief Niyi Adebayo, Governors Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state and Governor Oyetola of Osun state.

Others included former Osun State Governor and Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola and the APC National Secretary Otunba Iyiola Omisore.

While commending the Vice President, being the highest ranking public officer from South West extraction for a job well done, inside sources disclosed that the APC elders stated categorically that all the aspirants had the right to aspire to be President.

But, they enjoined all aspirants to exhibit the ‘Omoluabi’ ethos in their politicking by shunning divisive rhetorics.

While stating that consultations with them would be a continuous exercise, the meeting admonished the aspirants to queue behind whoever amongst them that eventually emerges as the party’s candidate, stating that the cohesion of the South West must be sancrosanct.

I was coming home Saturday evening after a hectic day and found a small bag on the ground.

After Eagles played their last qualifying world cup match in Yaounde and lost 1-0 to Cameroon in August 27th 1989, Westerhof set out to rebuild the Eagles and prepare for Algeirs 90 nations cup already qualified by Coach Paul Hamilton.

He visited league venues in Nigeria for talents accompanied by Fanny Amu. Iwuanyanwu nationale and Bendel United were playing in the Continent then, while Ranchers Bees was playing WAFU so Westerhof scouted mostly from these clubs.

By November of that year he had invited most of the players he wanted and played friendly matches with some Nigerian clubsides.

By January 1990 Nigeria hosted Ecowas cup in Bauchi with Senegal, Cote de' Ivore and Liberia in attendance which Eagles won. Then Westterhof set out to invite professionals who will prosecute the nations cup proper with home based players.

Augustine Eguaveon's club Genk in Belgium refused to release him while Keshi gave condition of coming and going after matches to play for his club Anderletch then back to Algeria but Westerhof rejected this.

Wanted NFA to pay them upfront but Westerhof also rejected this, by telling the players they are not patriotic and will not get a call up again!

Out of frustration Westerhof called their bluff and took the home based players on a one month training in Papendal, Holland. The only professionals in the team were

The two of them were playing in Belgium second divisions.

Eagles were to fly straight to Algeria from Holland.

In the opening match against the host Algeria, the Eagles were thrashed 5-1 with their Capt Rabah Madjer who had three years earlier scored the winning goal in the champions league final between his club Porto and Bayern Munich, scoring two of the goals past Aloy Agu, While Nigeria's only goal was scored by Emma Jay Jay Okocha.

The inexperience of the home based players showed and some NFA officials whom arrival of Westerhof in the country had stopped some dirty deals they do in Europe started talking of sacking him, Westerhof too was humbled and started asking one of his assistants Sebastian Brodericks the strategy he used in China 85 and told him and Jo Bonfere to allow the players rest for a day without training so he could find out if there's a division among them.

Into the team and through the brilliance of Elaho, Rashidi Yekini scored an early goal and the defence tightened up and Eagles won 1-0. In the last crucial group match with Cote de' Ivore, they fly in by private jet their dangerous star man Youssouf Fofana who was playing at Monaco with George Weah.

When NFA officials heard this news they became Jittery, harassing Westerhof here and there but Westerhof told them he doesn't know who Fofana was, what he know is, he has Uche Okechukwu in defence.

Eventually, in the match proper, Westerhof placed Moses Kpakor on Fofana with instructions to hassle and hackle him. This, Kpakor did, till Fofana was substituted in the second half, but before then Rashidi Yekini had scored another early goal and also through the brilliance of Friday Elaho again. Nigeria won 1-0

Yekini was playing for Africa sports in Cote de' Ivore then. The dreaded Zambians with their tiki- taka football was Nigeria's opponent in the semi finals but Westerhof instructed the Eagles players to let them have the ball but hold them with Zonal marking.

As it turned out, it was to be Nigerias best match in the tournament with Uche Okechukwu nodding in, a corner in the first half while Rashidi Yekini scored from a counter attack in the second half with a clever pass from Wasiu Ipaye.

In the final match, the Algerians was surprised with the improvement and confidence of Eagles who they had thrashed two weeks earlier and resorted to hacking our players but referee Jean Diramba was so biased that you will know that he had already made up his mind for Algeria to win, and so it was,

Because they scored in the first half by Cherif Ouzani to win 1-0 but the home based Eagles returned to Nigeria as heroes, was given #50,000 each by Babangida led FG and Westerhof had gotten everybody to his side and also got direct access to vice president of Nigeria at that time Augustus Aikhomu for anything he wanted!

Most gear failures, up to 75% in automatic transmission is cause by driver's error.

Up to 80% of vehicles on Nigerian roads don't have active hand brakes, they make use of the "P" and that's why they always have gear failures.

Let's not forget:
"P" = parking mode
"N" = neutral mode
"" = drive mode.

Common mistakes drivers of automatic transmission make is when the car is stopped many drivers push the gear handle directly from "" to "P" then before applying hand brake (if the vehicle have any functional hand brake at all).

This is very wrong

Correct way is when the car is stopped, first push the gear handle to "N", apply the handbrake so the whole force and weight of the car rests on the handbrake then push the gear handle to "P" then switch off the engine.

What Happens Inside The Gearbox Each Time You Push Your Gear Handle To "P"?

Your automatic transmission has a pin like device called PAWL. It's function is to lock the transmission shaft and block it from moving front or back.

There's a circular notched ring that looks like flywheel at the base of your output shaft inside the gear.

Once you engage your gear to "P" the PAWL (pin) locks into the notched ring just like door locks in your rooms or the way your steering locks when you off the engine and remove your key from the ignition.

Once this happens the drive shaft is locked and can't move front or backward.

When you park your vehicle on a sloppy or inclined surface a lot of stress is placed on your vehicle parking pawl especially if you engaged the "P" before the handbrake, infact the whole weight of the vehicle rests on the parking PAWL.

Doing this all the time will force your parking pawl to worn out and eventually damage the gear.

Your transmission is affected more if you constantly park at sloppy surface without engaging the hand brakes first before the "P" and that's why if you want to move from the "P" to "N" or "" the gear handle become very difficult to push or make heavy disengagement sound.

That's sound is forceful disengagement of the pawl from the notched ring due to vehicle weight resting on it which is very dangerous to your gear.

If you engage the handbrake first before the "P" then the weight of the car will rest on the rear brake linings of the wheel thereby removing any pressure on the parking pawl.

Please, the parking PAWL is too small to rest your whole vehicle weight on, infact your not suppose to do it AT ALL.
If you don't have an active handbrake better go and repair it now.

It's cheaper for you to repair your handbrake than to buy new gear but if you still continue and damage your gear I can help you buy and install a new gear at high cost. What are friends for?

Foreign born players are not properly integrated into the Super Eagles — Odegbami.

Super Eagles legend Chief Segun Odegbami believes the foreign born players are being rushed to the National team.

The Nigeria Football Federation have been criticised for disrupting the structure of national teams by constantly inviting foreign born players.

The latest are Ademola Lookman and Calvin Bassey who flopped on thier home debut during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ghana last month.

While many criticise the players for failing to live up to expectations, Odegbami in a interview with brila.net faults how the players were thrown in the thick of action, without proper integration.

“The reality is that African football is different from the Europe. A player has to adapt to this level. So when you are born in Europe, you must have to learn the game in Africa.”

That’s why some of them struggle here. The game is more physical here and the mentality is different as well.”

They need to adapt and not all of them have adapted. Balogun and Ekong have adapted and that’s why you see them perform well”.

“Same goes for the ones who are born here, when they go to Europe, they are it will take them time to settle. Kanu and Okocha started here, but were got better when they settled well in Europe.

“So we need to be sensible when we are bringing players born in Europe. Because a player is playing for local club in Belgium is not enough to earn him a place in the national team.” He said
